  • This is some of what I just posted on my page: I am NOT going to beat myself up over gaining back around 6 pounds since my eye surgery in October. I started at 220.1 on January 7, 2013 and I am now at 186.6 on December 31, 2013. I have lost 34 pounds since January 7, 2013. With anticipation and joy, I am looking forward to…
  • I also suffer with bouts of sciatica. For me, riding my ladies bike for about 30 to 40 minutes seems to stretch my legs and back. It's the weirdest thing to me, if I don't ride every day or every other day, it seems like my pain flares back up. At 51 with bad knees, riding my bike has been a blessing to me. I love the wind…
  • I am so proud of you!!! I also lost my mom to breast cancer in 2002. She was 57 (way to young to leave us......). I have battled my weight for a long time and decided in January of this year to do something about it. I lost by logging in and staying around 1200 to 1500 calories. In June, I bought a ladies bike and…
  • :flowerforyou: Congratulations!!!! You look great and it sounds like you are happy and that is a wonderful place to be in life. You will reach your goal and I can't wait to read your post when it happens. God bless you on your journey. Rachel in Alabama
  • LOL. Works for a short time. I sewed in seams in the back band of my size 20 pants. :noway: Then my 18's. Got tired of it and bought me some 16s that fit. Got rid of all the others. :blushing: Rachel in Alabama
  • To:vanessasmith9 What kind of wraps? I saw something on tv about wearing wraps and that they help the stomach area. Thanks you. Rachel from Alabama
  • Thank you! I just saw something that another MFP mentioned: "Don't mistake thirst for hunger"......I have learned this is very true. Quoted from dshamilt  Rachel from Alabama
  • You are so right!! "Don't mistake thirst for hunger"......I have learned this is very true. Quoted from dshamilt
  • What she said!!! It's not weightloss.....it's a lifestyle change you have made. You are wonderful and precious and have made an inspiring change to your life. You know what to do now. God bless you on your journey. Rachel in Alabama
  • Are you eating filling calories? Please don't give up. I have been on a plateau for several weeks and finally saw movement this morning on my scale. Some people suggest eating maybe 200 more calories. I don't know about that but I have pretty much faithfully stayed at 1200 calories. :flowerforyou: Don't give up!!! Use my…
  • I wanted to comment on your life change. You look great! I read your profile and want you to know that you are an encouragement to me. I am about to turn 51 and I also decided it was time to take control. God bless you on your journey :flowerforyou: I forgot to address this to Crochetluvr.
  • Thank you!!!!! I wasn't sure what to do. You are the best
  • Yikes. I don't know how to make the picture work. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  • Donate them! A sweet little old lady at church told me that I better keep them because I will gain it back and need them :noway: I politely told her that they were old clothes anyway and that I was never going to weigh that amount again. The next Sunday she brought me one of her skirts that was to big for her. I took it…
  • Hello to all! I'm happy to find you. I am about to turn 51 on July 30 and I am very thankful for the wonderful years that I have had. I started truly changing my eating habits and lifestyle in January of this year (2013). I am currently enjoying my bike that I bought around the first of June. I love it! I find it…
  • Thank you for sharing! Our wonderful mfp friends help me stay inspired. I always smile when I see before and after pictures because the people look happy and that makes me happy!!! God bless you on your journey.
  • Hang in there Sister. I keep green giant and birds eye frozen vegetables for my extra calories and I use them as my snacks. Some have more sodium than others but I do love the green giant broccoli with cheese. I do eat the whole bag. Not much calories and very little fat but I always feel full. I guess that sounds weird…
  • Thank you for sharing with all of us. You are awesome!
  • I keep water and peanut butter crackers and bananas. It's my own personal way. I have been able to stay around my 1200 calories since January 2013 and I am down 28 pounds. I am happy with my new eating habits. I bought myself a present earlier this month....a ladies schwinn bike. I love it!
  • Congrats!!! :flowerforyou: Be happy and proud of yourself. You look great!
  • To Vickil57 Vicki, I am so happy for you!!! It's crazy how our weight affects our joints. My knee doctor is a wonderful person and he has the best "bedside" manner. He told me "to stay as light as possible" to help my knee pain. Now don't anyone reading this get mad at my doctor. I love the way he put it gently to me that…
  • It's kind of funny but I started getting more compliments around 20 pounds off. I think it was because I bought some pants and a few tops that fit me better. I notice that when I wear a top that fits me tighter, I get compliments but when I wear a loose fitting top, not one compliment LOL :noway: For me personally,…
  • As she said "Drink a lot of water today." It's ok, it has happened to us all. You are doing great and don't forget to smile  It will make you feel better.
  • Congrats on your success!!! It's kind of funny but I started getting more compliments around 20 pounds off. I think it was because I bought some pants and a few tops that fit me better. I thought I was doing ok until I started keeping up with the calories  I was eating like a maniac  I am also doing the 1200 calories and I have lost 27 pounds since January. I am 50 years ol.
