  • If u cant do a pull up a bar isnt gonna help much.. I would start with the bands and as u get stronger progress to a pull up bar. my wife completed p90x and at the end could still not do a pull up so she still uses the bands
  • I didnt do insanity by itself i just substitued it on my cardio days, But i imagine if i did nothing but insanity i would prolly loose some size due to it being a mostly cardio program but i am by no way a trainer.   • Thanks every one I know im over on sodium , but i never really thought about the dairy products.. i will start doing better on that!!!. Also im not trying to loose weight just maintain and make sure im eating right. It sounds like most are split on being over from sugars that are from fruit. Im gonna try and cut back here…
  • I have been doing tony hortons one on one killer abs in place of ab ripper x for my p90x routine. If you want something to work your abs This is the tape. I was use to arx and never got sore now with the killer abs tape im sore again... Its about 25 minutes long
  • Jamie I understand what you are saying , but what im saying is during your 1 hour work out you hrm doesnt subtract your bmr which for most people is 60-100 calories per hour. This is why I shut mine off and I could be totally wrong
  • I turn mine off after work out I figure these extra 60-100 calories are what i would have burned if i wouldnt have worked out. The HRM doesnt subtract your basic calorie burn while not exercising.Not sure if that is the correct way to do it , but thats what i have been doing

  • seems high to me my last run was basically at 6 sometimes 6.5 for 1 hour or 6 miles my max heart rate was 166 the one before that was 30 minutes 7.0 to 7.5 mph my max was 169 Im also 37 male weight 150lbs I really dont know if its high or low i can jsut give you my numbers to compare hope this helps a little

  • I have done the inexpensive walmart type only to end up spending more on a quality one the polar ft7 is what i have now. Don't waste your money on a cheap one without a chest strap. I would use an online calculator until i could afford a quality one
  • you will have to add it its not in the data base .I added it under cardio exercise named it p90x and count it as 600 calories. Unless you have a heart rate monitor and want to get real specific with the calories, but i have found going with 600 calories per work out like the guide says is about right.

  • I have never been fitted but i know i should be. i use asics 2150's right now and never have my feet hurt. I get these for 90 bucks online and they want 100-125 at running stores. Im cheap i guess i should go get fitted then buy online lol.......

  • Eriny Im assuming this is from p90x chest and back that puts you averaging 40 push ups per set.... I have completed the program and am on my second round and I can manage that many. I try to average 20 -25 and i have a hard time with that .. Good work

  • I dont follow the diet plain but I try to eat as healthy as possible. I work offshore in the gulf of mexico so sometimes im forced to eat what they have. I finished 1 round of p90x and got great results im sure if i would have eaten like the plain suggest the results would have been even better.

  • I also have the FT7 and it is well worth the money. I bought a cheap one from walmart and it was a waste of money get a quality one first time around and be done with it.
  • Just a set of bars that allow you to get more range of motion google push up bars... Dumbells can also serve as push up bars. Im out of town and didnt bring mine , but i do way fewer reps with them and they dont hurt my wrist nearly as much

  • I know crazy hours but im working noon to midnight so i Went ahead and knocked out my week 3, day 2, row 3 ... 20, 25,15,15,35(max) I dont have any puxh up bars here and think im not going as deep as i normally would for p90x Thats why my max #'s are high. Good luck everyone!!!!!!
  • Okay so after the intial test. i started week 3, row 3, day 1 on wensday. I need to switch this to a cardio day as i was very sore from my morning p90x routine. anyway 14 , 18, 14, 14, 25 .
