  • doesn't matter. some people put a "don't eat past 7pm(or any random time, really)" rule on themselves, but the reasoning behind it is typically to stop late night snacking. figure out what works for you, and do that.
  • i'd do either circuit training or calisthenics.
  • Set small goals. Say after 5lb you can buy yourself a new outfit, or something similar. Break it up into small goals, so you trick yourself into thinking you're almost there!
  • MFP doesn't act like all other calorie counters- it gives you a goal, INCLUDING the deficit. you can eat all those 1900 calories WITHOUT EXERCISE and still lose weight. if you do exercise, it adds those calories to your goal for the day, so you can eat them back. not eating them back puts you at more and more of a deficit,…
  • I don't have experience with post-surgery recommendations, but I'd do what your doctor tells you to.
  • i'll be 23 next month! happy to have new friends :)
  • i buy ONE box of the peanut butter ones i love, ONE box of the new lemony ones i love, and two boxes of thin mints for the hubs. i'm allergic to mint. when mine come in, i separate them into little baggies of one serving. i put them on a super high shelf(usually the one on top of the fridge, sometimes i hide them behind…
  • i donated or threw away depending on what it was... old tank, with pit stains(because i wore it to the gym when it got too big for regular wear but not too big for gym wear) i threw away. things that still looked okay, i donated. there are a couple things that i haven't done anything with yet, i'm waiting for the weather…
  • first of all, 2 weeks is not a plateau. second, 10 pounds in 2 months is great! that's a little more than the 1 pound a week typically recommended. take a step back, look at your progress, and be proud of yourself. you HAVE accomplished something, and it is wonderful! our bodies are not perfect machines. sometimes you'll…
  • this! i wear mine on my middle finger right now, i'll get it resized when i'm ready.
  • I did too! Just jump in- take it one workout at a time. I'm learning that there's a big learning curve when you start lifting- you have to learn what your body can an cant handle, no one can tell you that.
  • Hi! I just started this week as well. :) Actually, my legs are just starting to hurt less after trying to squat the bar on Monday. I had to hold dumbbells instead. So. Painful!
  • Yeah, I definitely need to know about this chocolate protein pancake. That just sounds amazeballs.
  • I'm lactose intolerant, and whey protein makes my stomach churn. Most bars do the same thing, they're typically made with whey protein. I have gnc soy protein 95 in chocolate. I mix it with water in a blender bottle(with a ball in it) and chug it. It's not great, but its not too bad. It's sweet enough that it kinda tastes…
  • so, i just started... did workout A yesterday, planning on doing B tomorrow. quick question- is there an alternative to the prone jackknife? just trying to get into the starting position yesterday i fell (hard) on my knees once and on my face/boobs twice. i feel like it's just not meant to be!

  • You may want to cancel your membership there and find another, less expensive gym. I pay $40 a month for both my husband and me at a locally owned gym.
  • Just so you know... You've got it backwards. You cut the complex carbs, fruits are the simple ones.
  • hi! i'm about the same as you- i'm 5'3'', right now i'm at 203, started at 270, and my ultimate goal is around 145. i've been here since January and would love to be your friend!
  • welcome! feel free to add me :)
  • Hi! I'm about to add you, and anyone else looking for friends can add me! I've been here since January, haven't missed a day of logging, and definitely eat more than 1200!!
  • i'm a 38DDD i'm having good luck with some from target... they're like $25 each, and the tag said they were high-impact or extra-strong or something like that. none of the other ones say anything like that... you'll be able to find them! a tip though... buy it in a cup size too small. i'm a 38DDD and bought a 38DD(largest…
  • as long as you track it properly, it doesn't matter what time you eat.
  • i have that too! i don't know how to fix it. it sucks.
  • you could start by changing MFP to maintain your current weight. then i'd ask your doctor what they want you to do. explain that you love exercise and want to be healthy, but want to properly care for your child. i've heard anywhere between 0-500 calories over maintenance.
  • is it something you made yourself? if so, enter everything in separately. whoever put that "penne with chicken" into the database was not you, and made theirs differently. you could also try using the recipe builder, and entering in what all you put in it and then how many it serves.
  • i work at a dunkin donuts, and they let me eat a little on shift. obviously i can't stop working in the middle of the morning rush, but when we're not so busy i take a break, go into the back(where customers can't see me) and eat. i bring my own food, usually a sandwich, oatmeal, fruit, etc. you could try to make sure you…
  • Hi all! I'm Julia and I'm 22 years old, living in a suburb of Atlanta. I've been on my health journey since January 2012. I recently decided that I want to start lifting soon, and I am looking at/saving up for NROL4W. I'm a complete stranger to lifting. I'm hoping that having a book to help me will make me look like less…
