  • Adkin's is working for me. I've lost 22 lbs since the beginning of August. Sending you a friend request.
  • Is it too late to join? I've lost 16 lbs since July 27. I need to lose 19 more. This will help me stay on track.
  • Probiotics help keep your gut bacteria in balance. Iodoral is Iodine and Potassium iodide . Iodine is important for thyroid, breast and overall health. I don't take Iodoral, I use liquid Iodine drops. Neither are anything to be afraid of taking. Google probiotics and you'll find a wide range to choose from on price and…
  • Is your doctor running a full thyroid panel, and not just checking TSH? Your TSH can be in normal range, and Free T3 be low. That is hypo, too.
  • 4 lbs to go and I haven't been exercising much. I need to get back in the habit! Friend me :)
  • I guess I'm not mom enough. I refuse to buy that stuff! Once was enough!
  • As always Raz....you da man!
  • This. I was so ready to lose weight and this looked like the way to do it. I didn't even know there was a website for a month. I did it all on my phone :blushing:
  • This is fascinating. I used to drink coffee with the fattening creamers. Now I drink it with fat free coffee mate (usually one cup a day). I've started drinking warm green tea and love it. I'm going to give up coffee for a month and see what the weight loss results are. I also have hypothyroidism so the results may…
  • I found an app called Fast Food Calorie Lookup. It has most restaurants on there. You can look up items separately and add up the calories if it's not in MFP's database. I don't go out to eat often but when I do it's come in handy.
  • We're already friends :) but anyone else is free to add me! I'm a mother of 4. Two girls and two boys and a grandmother to a gorgeous grandson.
  • Congrats on your 5lb loss! We're all here for different reasons but the main one is lifestyle change. Getting fit is part of that. You have your husband's support and that's what's important! Support is hard to find sometimes in real life because they just don't understand. Luckily there is plenty of support here :)
  • I'm on level 2 (2nd day) and have already lost 3 lbs and over 3 inches from my waist, hips and thighs combined. Plus I've added a quarter inch to each bicep. I have to mute the tv and crank the music. It gets old listening to Jillian after you've memorized the routine! You'll do great! Good luck!
  • Welcome! Feel free to add me as a friend. This is a wonderful supportive community. Good luck on your journey :flowerforyou:
  • So far today is my first rest day. I did 10 days on level 1 and my first day on level 2 was yesterday. I'm not overly sore, I just felt it was time to give my body a rest. Someone else told me on another message board that Jillian herself recommended rest days on a podcast. I'm just afraid that if I get out of my workout…
  • The machine calories burned are programmed to show way over. Not all HRM's are that expensive. I just purchased a women's polar for around $60 from Amazon. It was well worth it. MFP's database is close on the estimated calories burned but it's different for everyone. Even a 20 + or - difference can make a difference at the…
  • Just finished my first day on level 2 of 30 Day Shred. I did 10 days on level 1 with no rest days and I'm doing Zumba (it really helps with endurance). It wasn't that bad! I had to modify a couple of the exercises but I think that's the norm when moving up a level for a couple of days until you get the hang of it. I'm…
  • I started 30 Day Shred back up and I'm on Day 9 Level 1. So far I've lost 3 lbs and 3 inches from the bra line down, and added a quarter inch to each bicep. Can't wait till the end of the month!
  • I liked the OP's bit's better. These look really small.
  • I am so down for this! It will get me to my goal. Anyone feel free to add me as a friend!
  • My first week on 30 Day Shred I've lost 2 lbs and 3 inches from the bra line down. I added a 1/4 inch to each bicep. No change in my thigh measurements yet but as sore as they are that will happen in time!
  • I'm fixing to do day 7 level (30 Day Shred) and couldn't wait to take my measurements for the first week. I've lost 2 lbs, 3 inches from the bra line down and added a 1/4 inch to each bicep. No change in my thighs yet but I expect that to happen in time. They're sore enough!
  • You've found a wonderful community that supports each other in making a healthy lifestyle change that lasts. Feel free to add me and best of luck to you!
  • I completed day 6 level 1 today. Anyone here feel free to add me, I need all the support I can get! I noticed mention of heart rate monitors. I'm currently looking for one on Amazon. I'm a little overwhelmed. Does anyone have suggestions for a good one that's under $100? I'm planning on doing the 30 Day Shred with no rest…
  • Thanks sanjoparolas! I made it through day 5 level 1 and I'm doing great! Really looking forward to the results. Sometimes I do the modifications, sometimes I don't. I figure when I don't have to, I'll move to the next level. I took all my measurements before I started and I can't wait to post them when I'm finished!
  • Welcome! Feel free to add me, or I'll send you a request :) I'm 9 lbs down and 10 to go. We need all the support we can get!
  • Just finished day 3 level 1 of 30 day shred. Not sure if I'm going to be able to walk later today but I'm determined to keep going with no rest days. I've read if you can make it past day 5 it gets easier. Someone please tell me this is true!!
  • Thanks so much for posting this. I got two days in to it and couldn't walk...then got too busy to start back up. I'm going for it again and not giving up this time.
  • I started 30 Day Shred on Wednesday, rocked with it on Thursday...could barely walk Friday. Took today off to recover, too. I'll pick it back up on Monday plan on doing it three days a week. I've been stalled for the past couple of weeks in my weight loss and am really hoping this will help.
