I'm 9lbs away from my goal, having lost 22lbs since starting the challenge. I'm not quite where I want to be but am still pretty proud with myself. I gave up calorie counting and just rely on instinct. I've barely been to the gym the last month but the weight is still coming off :-) Most importantly for me- I've dropped a…

No holiday weekend here for us in the UK so no excuse for me to eat too much! My appetite has dropped to a sensible level (MFP sometimes tells me I have not eaten enough!) so the weight is finally starting to shift :-) 6lbs down this week and wearing a pair of jeans that haven't fit for 18months

I've been having a really good few days and haven been well within my calorie allowance (if you don't count alcohol!) I stops some meds a couple of weeks ago that gave me a massive appetite- since finishing those I'm barely hungry at all! I'm actually struggling to eat enough!! This is something that has NEVER happened to…

Can someone tell me what NSV stands for? Thanks :-)

Everyone is completely welcome to start their own threads and introduce goals/challenges :-)

I don't own any scales but I've lost 2inches from my waist :-)

Woohoo! I have no confessions to make today! (if we ignore my alcohol consumption!). In terms of food I did REALLY well this weekend. I stopped one of my meds on Monday and my appetite appears to have already shrunk to acceptable proportions.

I'm with you on this! I just don't feel sexy at all any more which means we just don't have sex! If we do it is only missonary so he can't see any of me bouncing around! Another vanity reason for me is that I want strangers to find me attractive. Don't get me wrong, I DON'T cheat, but it would be nice to have men approach…

I was at college with Kit/Jon Snow and we took drama class together (my little claim to fame!)- he was pretty buff then so I think there's a pretty good chance those abs are real!

The crazy thing is I too used to work at McDonalds and I was a lot lighter than this, averaging at 154lbs! I think not having a car back then helped (as well as being a spring chicken!) I really want to change my relationship with food because so much of my life revolves around it. I don't have time to experiment in the…

I'm thrilled at the enthusiasm I'm seeing here! It's good to see that we're all doing this together! Whether we lose lbs or dress sizes the aim is for us to feel comfortable in our skin by christmas! I'm hoping that if we've made good progress by then, we'll be less likely to completely stuff our faces over the holiday…

I love all of these- keep them coming!!

Hey guys! It's great to see you all getting involved! I recently joined the gym and have found it's great at boosting my mood as well as my fitness- especially Zumba class! X

That's 31lbs as well as the 15lbs I've already lost- so 46 in total

As this one has gone private I've pinched the idea and started a public one. You can find it here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/16068-all-i-want-for-christmas-is-a-new-body

I can't find it :-(

Hi, I'm 5ft 10 and currently weigh in at 230lbs. I've been trying to lose weight since having my first child 4 years ago! At one point I got down to 210lbs but that's the closest I've been to my 168lbs goal since conceiving. I have tried improving my lifestyle which works really well for a few weeks before something upsets…

I read somewhere that having some peanut butter is a good way to combat chocolate cravings. I keep some in my house to have on a plain rice cake when I really want to munch in the evenings.

This is the way I do things but everyone is different: I log my exercise on MFP and it adjusts my calorie goal to account for the calories I have burned. I would say that because you are already eating a low calorie diet, if you exercise you need to eat back what you have burned off otherwise you will just get tired and…

So much of my day revolves around food because I'm trying to figure out where in our busy lives I can fit in meals for the children. So I'm always trying to think of something healthy that is also suitable for my children and their nutritional needs. Trying to fit this around working part time, keeping them entertained,…

My problem when I eat pizza is that I have an entire one to myself! I get this idea in my head that it's better to eat it all in one night so that I only have one bad day rather than too! I've also made up this fantasy fact that your body can only absorb so many calories- so once I've eaten say 3000, my body will magically…

I'll start it off- It was my cousin's birthday Saturday so we went out for a curry and drinks. I started off well by stopping eating as soon as I felt full and didn't go for a greasy take away at the end of the night. However... I was VERY hungover the next day and ended up having...wait for it.... McDonalds breakfast, KFC…

Absolutely! I'm getting so down on myself that I don't want anyone to look at me. I flinch everytime my boyfriend tries to hug me!

Hey guys! I've just joined this group because I was looking for others that are battling weight when on medication. I am on Mirtazapine and Venlafaxine for perinatal depression and have found that 9months AFTER having my 2nd child I am heavier than I was when I was 9months pregnant with him! And he was a whopping 8lb 13…

Wow! This is amazingly inspirational for me as I'm 5ft 10 and started at 245lbs- to think I could look anything like you do now is a huge incentive to keep working hard. Can you share some of your tips with us?

I'm in! I bought this DVD just over a year ago. Before I got started I injured my hip and my osteopath told me to "only do sitting down exercises"..... 12 months on I'm sitting here cradling a 3 month old baby and carrying a couple of extra stones to boot!

Wow! Some really helpful and encouraging topics! Thank you all so much, you're all brilliant. The determination you all show is amazing, keep up the good work. I'll do what a couple of you said and watch level 1 on youtube. Then maybe I'll check out the library for a copy. Thanks again, reallly really helpful! xxx
