That's what I noticed. Waaaay younger, and their skin looks healthier, etc. Very cool thread.

Interval training is the way to go! There's been a lot of recent research on it. There are various interval plans out there, but the basic idea is: Sprint, recover, sprint, recover, sprint, recover, etc. For me, I don't try to follow EXACT times (like, sprint for 30 seconds, recover for a minute), I do what my body tells…

Wow. In a way, this is more inspiring than the full body pictures. Very cool.

Something about like this would be realistic for me with about 3 months of diet and working out. Same body type, just presently covered with about 20lbs of fat at the moment.
-
Wait...what? Are we looking at the same back?

Congratulations! One of the best "no b.s." commentaries I've read on this site to date. Most excellent!

This is a great thread, and some amazing responses. I briefly started going to a life coach a while back. She taught me a nice little mental exercise that really worked for me. The general idea of it has been touched upon here already, this is just a slightly different angle: First she just had me sit down, close my eyes,…

Pigtails rock my world. I support this thread.

A song I wrote and recorded is totally stuck in my head right now. I've worked on it for 10 days straight and it just keeps playing in my head... Here it is. It's about a girl. So, dang it, she's in my head too. Gahhhhhh!!!!! http://soundcloud.com/badlyhemmed/couldnt-turn-around

Yeah, thinking about food jolts me into wanting to eat. And even thinking about it in the sterile sense of counting calories is STILL technically thinking about food. It's a slippery slope. Hobbies = a good idea. Think I'll join a bingo club or something. :)
-
I go through "binge" vs tight calorie control waves. And yes it's somehow related to counting calories for me. There is an emotional connection to food and eating. I am going to try raising my calorie limit to a very sensible level, that will still garnish me a couple of pounds of weight loss a month. I think it might…

I dated a girl with Disassociate Identity. It took about 2 months for me to figure out what was going on. Once it was out in the open, it was slightly easier to deal with, for both of us. I get waves of anxiety. Like 2 or 3 times a year for a couple weeks at a time. Overwhelming and crippling. As quickly as it comes on, it…

Thanks. I guess the thinking is that I'm basically allowed 10,500 calories a week. I might as well eat them in a way that is most conducive to my lifestyle..if that makes sense. Not necessarily exactly 1500 a day...

Nice toned arms. Not bulky, just nice n' toned. Discovered this quirky "turn on" later in life. Poise. Good manners.

46 has been one of the best years of my life. No red sports cars or gold chains...yet. I did date a bimbo for a while though.

Yep, should be cleaning.

...and boobs.

There are days I'll walk into a grocery store (for example), and every single woman in there looks fabulous to me. Big, small, round, athletic, still got the curlers in...doesn't matter. Ya'll just appear amazing in my eyes. Doesn't happen all the time, but every now and then it just hits.

Sounds spectacular. I like a little hint of burnt black coffee too. Perfect. A good Porter is hard to find. I like them a little syrupy, not foamy. Dang it. Now I'm thirsty.
-
Beerophile here. Yep, Guiness Stout. Used to brew my own stuff and drink only micro-brew stuff. However, I'm on a diet. :( The two I've found that still halfway pass as beer and yet have low calories are Natural Light (95 calories) and Rolling Rock Light (90 calories). The "Ultras" and 55 calorie stuff just tastes like…

There we go! Nice job on the weight loss Teschy!!!

Teschy, in photobucket there is a drop down option for your photo called "IMG Code", click on that code to copy, and then paste here. That way we can see your fabulous results!

I agree that the answer is more water weight. Chances are you are downing more fluids when you work out. Think of this: 1 gallon of water weighs 8.3 pounds.

My calves are the body part I get compliments on. When it comes to women, I recently discovered that I am an arm man. A girl I wasn't really interested in took off her shirt and had a "muscle shirt" on underneath. She had the nicest toned arms I think I have ever witnessed. Suddenly, I was interested....:)
