I went on vacation to a place with a water park. I spent almost everyday in a bathing suit for a week. That was enough to make me finally do something about it. The day after we got home I started Weight Watchers (again), but decided it wasn't for me and found MFP.

Have some ice cream. Just work it into your calories for the day. :)

You're welcome. :)

Do you have your goal set to lose 2 lbs a week? If so, MFP has a 1000 calorie deficit worked into your goal. If you ate 830 over your goal, you are still eating 170 calories under maintenance, hence the weight loss.

I don't know of any low calorie eggnog, but when I was little my parents would fill a glass half way with eggnog and the rest with milk. If you used skim milk that would help bring the calories down. Or you could just have a small glass of it.

Great post! :)

Love this post!

There was a part of the fight scene in a preview that was definitely not in the books. The battle in the book was more psychological than physical. I don't know how well that would have translated to the big screen. I'm looking forward to seeing it. :)

I'm a SAHM. I don't really get jealous of my hubby "escaping." I was a working mom up until last January (my DS was 19 months old when I quit working). I do miss talking to adults and having lunch breaks to do whatever I want, but being a working mom with all of my son's health issues was stressful and I was missing a lot…

I only supplement with protein powder a couple times a week. I don't like eggs, so my protein comes from chicken, tuna, cottage cheese and smaller amounts of beef, nuts, etc.
-
I eat it on bagels. Otherwise, I use it a lot in recipes like enchiladas, crockpot chicken chili, crockpot chicken and rice and desserts (cheesecake, brownie refrigerator cake).

Oh and the sausage and summer vegetables. Sooo good and filling. Thinking about making this (or the roasted sausage and peppers) for Christmas breakfast, but we've had it for dinner too.

I didn't read all of the responses. I like the skinny pernil (puerto rican pork roast), the cuban quesadillas (with the leftover pernil), jalepeno popper stuffed chicken, fiesta lime rice, and the crockpot chicken taco chili. In that order. :)

No matter how big my breakfast and lunch are, I inevitably need a snack in the afternoon so I'm not starving before dinner. I plan about 200 calories for a snack. It is usually something like fruit and string cheese (or almond), chips and guacamole or a protein bar/shake. There is nothing wrong with having a snack. Just…

My day looked like this: Breakfast: Trader Joe's Vanilla Almond Clusters cereal with unsweetened almond milk and 4 oz of cottage cheese (separate from the cereal :) ) Lunch: cucumber and orange peppers with Newman's creamy balsamic dressing and a TJ's chili lime burger on a tortilla with cheese and salsa; and tortilla…

Totally stealing these ideas! I have a protein shake/smoothie I'm trying later today. If it is a success, I'll come back and share the recipe. :)

Sounds yummy! Thanks for sharing. :)

I love the Blue Owl White Chicken Chili. You can just google that and find recipes. I make it once a month because it is a little high in calories for a cup of chili and we have sooo many leftovers we end up eating it over 3 meals.

I'm not a vegetarian anymore, but I actually like some of the morningstar stuff. I haven't tried the breakfast patties. My favorite is the spicy black bean burgers. I eat them rarely because it isn't really that healthy.

I want to lose 60 lbs total. I've lost 16 so far and no one has made comments yet.

I just wanted to say that you look AMAZING!! I agree with the others that said you look younger. Great job!! :)

I haven't been to Panera in a long time, but at Panera I love the BBQ Chopped Chicken salad and black bean soup. Not sure how many calories though. I haven't been to Subway in almost a year. Last time I went I got a meatball sub, probably wouldn't get that now unless I burned a lot of calories at the gym.

Hi there! I'm another short mama! I'm 32 years old, 5'4" and before tomorrow's weigh-in 177 lbs (I started at 190). My goal is to get down to 130-140 lbs. I look forward to "talking" with you all soon. :)

I'm in the Chicago burbs. I'd just say don't get deep dish. I love thin crust pizza but I have a problem with stopping after a couple of slices. I don't know when I will trust myself to order pizza again. :/
-
I'm interested. I'm 5'4" with 37-47 lbs to go (haven't decided my final goal yet).

I weigh or measure (with measuring spoons or cups) everything. My husband is on MFP too so he weighs and measures too, but not to the extent that I do. I don't trust myself to know what a serving size looks like yet.

Fridge/freezer: chicken breasts, fruits and veggies, low fat cheese, almond milk, cottage cheese (2%), wholly guacamole (love that stuff). Pantry: tuna pouches (in water), almonds, old fashioned rolled oats, black beans, and spices that I like for recipes. I don't have healthy meals to give off the top of my head, but I…

That sounds like a great time. I am going to see if they have one around here. :)

Anyone feel free to add me. I'm 32 with a 2 year old. I have about 40-50 lbs to lose (haven't completely decided my UG yet). :)

I lost one size in 7 weeks (and 13 lbs). I think it takes 10-15 lbs to drop down a size.
