Oh for crying out loud.

Mine's not a huge difference, but it surely motivates me! This is after my first month of weight training.

Bump...?

So did you actually read her response at all, or....?

notalwaysright.com is a great site people use to vent about customer situations they encounter in their jobs. It's actually pretty funny... but also kind of upsetting to read what people can be like.

I hate the elliptical too, so when I know I'll be using it, I make sure I have an MP3 player stocked with high-energy music that I can set a pace to. It's actually enjoyable, try it!

Peanut butter is not "really bad." Please eat and enjoy your peanut butter.

You're scolding your mother and giving her orders? Yeah, maybe you should move out, it might help you mature a bit.

"Baby girls?" These girls weren't bothering you at all, and you're mocking them for something so simple as their age? How about be happy for them that at least they have fitness in mind so early on in life? Just because they weren't there working as hard as you doesn't give you the right to attack them.

Oh, bump for sure. Need this for ideas once I'm home for Thanksgiving.

I looovvee being a pear!

You already look absolutely fantastic. You must be so excited for the second half! Congratulations on a seriously well done job!

Pre run: Half a small banana and a cup of black coffee Post run: A whole wheat smart bagel and two scrambled eggs made into a sandwich. Mmm.

I have one of those 16 oz cups that come with the plastic straw and screw on top; I fill it and drink it along with anything I eat. If I'm feeling really fancy, I'll drink one before AND during a meal/snack. Try it - even with just 8 oz. Make it a rule for yourself; if you're going to eat, you're going to also drink at…

If you weighed yourself with nothing at all and got one number, and then weighed yourself again holding all those beverages and your weight went up, would you assume you had gained fat mass and the whole world was falling to pieces? Of course not, because you'd know that those things have their own weight. It's the exact…

Bump, thanks!

This was so entertaining :) The first thing I thought of when you first mentioned opening the garage was, "Ugh, but what about the spiders?!" Thanks for the laugh

Please, whatever you do, however you cope... don't let it be through harming yourself. Read through all of the wonderful advice I've been given through this thread, dwell on their love and support and don't take it out on yourself. It's a scary addiction I'd never wish upon anyone. Take care and be safe and know you're…

I didn't go through with it. Things aren't really improving and it hurts and it's hard and I'm too scared to speak up. I'm doing the best I can. I'm sorry to be so whiny.

You could take it two ways. You could decide it's offensive and feel bad about it.. or you could let the bad part go, and think, "You know what, I've been working my butt off and somebody noticed!" Let it motivate you and take only the positive out of it :). Don't dwell on the part that most likely wasn't meant to be…

For my first month and a half of using MFP I stuck to the 1200/day diet religiously, working out hard at least four days every week. During that time I was constantly tired, irritable, and felt like I wasn't doing well if I wasn't constantly hungry. I started the journey to *lose* weight - but I actually ended up gaining…

You're all very kind, thanks for listening to me and thanks for the nice words of advice. It's appreciated :) I'm thinking I'm going to speak to my mom about getting some help - gotta start somewhere <3.
-
I'm so proud of you and so glad to hear it went well! Congratulations!
-
Ganache... ugh. Worst word.

I am and will be until the day I'm married!

When I started in January, I kept it to 3-4 days a week. Now that I'm more in shape, though, I go for about an hour of activity every single day, just because I've begun to really enjoy it and look forward to it. If you're not tired or too sore, you're eating enough of the right foods, and if you feel like your body is up…

We make this fantastic spicy vegetable soup that my cat loves. She's also really into Italian food - she eats ravioli with us whenever we have it.
