  • :flowerforyou: I think everyone has those days- but you have to remember that there is always tomorrow. If you have a bad day then wake up and recommit to your goals. Looking too far ahead at what you can't have is not a good idea- one day at a time is best with health and fitness and losing weight or keeping it off. I…
  • I just got the wii active today and did day one of the 30 day challenge. I really liked it alot and worked up a good sweat, even with the tutorials in the workout. I burned 177 calories in 30 minutes and it was hard! I can't wait to get used to the different programs and see what it can do! I've never had any of the…
  • :flowerforyou: I just watched someone say on tv that the eating before bed doesn't matter it's still a math formula calories in vs. calories out. I think you should eat most of your calories during the daylight but if you didn't and you still have some left over I think it doesn't matter.

  • I'd like to do this too! Anyone know if the version on "On Demand" exercise tv is good enough? I think there is level 1 and level 2 and they are a little over 22 minutes long. How long is the dvd that you buy? I have seen it at Target and can go get it if need be. Is it something you do each and every day for 30 days? I'd…
  • You will not fail unless you stop trying! I think the biggest challenge is logging your foods religiously. When you begin to stop doing that or begin to cheat- then it spirals down. I have used the site faithfully (again) for just a week and lost a few pounds just really counting those calories. It may seem like a…
  • I guess I mean how do you use it as a signature?
  • :flowerforyou: That is the best --when the smaller clothes begin to fit! Great job!

  • :flowerforyou: It's ok. You are starting now and that's all that matters. Don't look back and feel guilty. I have found that looking back to our regrets just causes us to repeat them. Develop a new vision of what you will look and feel like on your way to your goal. Don't look back at past failures or beat yourself up over…
  • Erin is that your stomach???? if so- wow- great job! I looked like that before kids and in between 2 and 3 LOL Since the 5th I have a 4 pack but the bottom 2 are nowhere to be seen! lol
  • Thanks again to everyone- Today I had a guiltless grilled chicken sandwich- without half the bun or the ranch dressing! I had the side of veggies- only 80 cals! yay! I successfully went out to lunch and didn't consume 900 calories! yippee!!!
  • That is awesome! I love this site too. I think that the reality of what we put into our mouths and really being encouraged to exercise so we can have more calories to eat is so motivating! I know that I eat so much more than I think I do when I am not accountable to inputting it in. At first I thought it was a…
  • Thank you SO MUCH everyone- that is really helpful!!! I'll let you know how I do. Good luck to everyone today!
  • Hi everyone- I'm going to Chili's for lunch. Does anyone have a good suggestion for something lower calorie there. I want to be prepared. I looked up some of their things on a website and it was frightening! You could eat all your day's calories in one shot there! Yikes. Thanks in advance!
  • Welcome- I am a newer member too and I love it. It really keeps you accountable for what you are eating and working out! Hope you like it!
  • Truvia is awesome! I put it in everything and on everything- even my kids like it and no artificial stuff! I overdosed on the splenda/blue stuff/pink stuff in college- I can't handle it anymore. Go Truvia!
  • :flowerforyou: Thanks- I love seeing what other people eat in a day- it gives me ideas when I run out of them or get bored. Sometimes certain foods just don't occur to me til someone tells me what they ate.
  • Hi everyone- I'm pretty excited about my food today. I earned an extra 373 cals from running but it's 6:45 and I have 511 cals left and I'm not hungry! This is new. Here is what my day looked like- maybe it can help some of you with ideas of what to eat. 1. I had a protein shake(Arbonne chocolate) this a.m. with…
  • :flowerforyou: Well- I've been running for over a year and I still get aches and pains when I run- but I am 40 :-) I don't know if that's normal for someone as young as you are. First of all go to a running store and get fitted for sneakers. That makes a huge difference. You may pay an extra 30 dollars for what they…
  • Also coming on the message boards here when you're about to snack or when you're feeling frustrated or alone! I like to do that when I get tired of the discipline!

  • :flowerforyou: That is one reason I find the food diary on here so helpful. When the calories are all eaten it's over for the day- no if's and's or but's. I think that knowing how guilty and bad you'll feel in the morning is also motivation to say no to the late night snacks. Having a lo cal pudding if you have calories…

  • Good morning Fitness Pal Friends- Does anyone suffer from Back problems along with me? I have arthritis in my spine and also a recurring injury on the right side of my back that wraps to the front side of my ribs. It's been TWO years off and on that I have this pain and sometimes it's really bad. I am a runner-…
  • :flowerforyou: We all get distracted! That is for sure. I joined the site at the end of march and used it through the 3rd week of April. Then I went on a 10 day trip-did well with that but since returning home, have not done well with eating. I continue to exercise 4 or 5 days a week but not watching what I eat has gifted…
  • :flowerforyou: unbelieveable. congratulations and God Bless- you did amazing!!!!!!!!! Inspiring to everyone!
  • so, I've been using MFP for 2 weeks now and love it- have only lost about a lb or so but that's ok. I don't have a ton to lose and I just want to stay healthy and slowly lose a few. Not to say I wouldn't love to see a big jump down, but my body doesn't do that unless I'm sick. I have 2 things to say to everyone.…
  • Argh- I had a post all ready to go and then lost it. Well, here we go...I ran 5K this morning and it felt pretty good. My husband just started running and can already run 3 miles fairly easily. He was an all american wrestler in College- funny how he can jump right back into being an athlete in a week and it takes me so…
  • I just started using MFP on Friday last week. I am really enjoying it. I have been watching my diet and exercise for about 4 weeks and lost 3 pounds. I'm a little frustrated with my progress so I was looking for something that would let me know how many calories I was consuming in a day. I think that I was eating…
