I take a bag with me and walk to the shops and back, then I sometimes 'forget' to buy something and have to walk back again... its silly but I'm not yet comfortable with joining a gym and putting myself out there. This is my journey and I'll complete it my way and at my own pace, I ain't doing so bad and I know I'll get…

I never discuss age (I'm 65 in a couple of weeks) or weight (261lbs) cos they are not important to me - what matters is that I look as good as I can for my age and I am losing weight and feeling better every day!! You,on the other hand, are young, very attractive and also slim. I can't imagine why your weight would be…

1st : Moisturise with a water based product - I love OPI juicies for the whole body as they're quick to absorb and smell divine 2nd : Make sure you are drinking enough water - I keep a 2 litre bottle in the fridge and drink it all every day 3rd : Increase your intake of oil - fish oils are excellent 4th : NEVER EVER ignore…

Made these with 2 bananas, 80grams oats, 2 tablespoons peanut butter and a little sweetener and cooked for about 20 mins at 200c. Made 9 and they're about 51cals each. Wasn't sure at first but they are getting eaten so they must be okay

I think you may have hit a plateau, I'm doing the same right now... not lost any weight for a few weeks. I am continuing as normal and if nothing happens by next week then I will add more walking to my regime and see how it goes. I'm not stressing over it, it'll come good at some point!

I make the choice, I decide, I make it happen. Never give in, never surrender!!!

I am gonna join a gym for the first time in my life.... I'm fast approaching 65 and have no idea what exercises to do at home to help me firm up - I think a gym will enable me to exercise the right way for me - I'm still hugely overweight and at my age I need to focus on doing effective exercise rather that any exercise. I…

I walked out of my job a year ago this month because of bullying - it drove to me depression it was so bad. I sat at home for 3 months and then WHAM!! I got off my *kitten* and took a good long look at myself. I started small by trying to get dressed a couple of times a week, took an interest in what I looked like and…

Are you alone? Hell no!! I'll be 65 in December and have been on my journey since February. I do what I can, exercise when I can and rest when I need to. This is my journey, its a long road ahead of me but I've past successes to keep me company and I am content with what I am doing.... As for giving up - what a question!…

I'm 5'1" and my goal weight is 140 - at my age and weight I think thats about as far as I can go and feel comfortable - if I feel I can go further then I will!!

Hmmm, I am in the same boat. My other half has type 2 diabetes and should lose 10kg to get his cholesterol under control. He constantly uses food as treats and also cannot resist a bargain no matter if he likes the food or not! I cannot control what he eats or how he uses food as a reward and its hard resisting him…
