I started lifting mid-January last year. My OHP has gone up And down all year and now soon January will be here again and my OHP max is still 70lb. I get discouraged at times but the progress will come, however slowly.

My friends and family never understand what I mean when I say I lift weights. I always emphasize on the heavy part of it and tell them I'm squatting almost 1.5x my body weight. Some get it, some don't. I had a very similar conversation at a Christmas party with my family

If you want a flatter belly and an overall leaner look, adding weights or some resistance training is the way to go. Even yoga would be beneficial.

This would happen to me as well in the beginning l and I found it to be an issue with protein intake.

I had a bad experience with quad tendinitis about a year ago. My knee was very sore. I rested my knee for 2 weeks, took Motrin and made sure I was stretching very well pre and post workout. Haven't had any issues since.

I am not sure why they would automatically place patients on a statin because they have risk factors. Why not focus on eliminating the risk factors? Ie improve diet, quit smoking, exercise? It's a standard of practice to give statins to patients who have had a TIA, CVA, heart attack a statin - but I don't see why they are…

Before my equipment was delivered I had my boyfriend stand behind me to hold the bar while I squatted. This only works for so long though! Also, try split squats with your front squats.

The 30ds is exhausting! There's not really much of a strength training component to it - mostly just pain In the *kitten* cardio! Add some lifting and you won't regret it

was thinner before I had my daughter and didn't have a thigh gap then. Had my daughter, my hips widen, im heavier than before and have a thigh gap now!

I started Stronglifts at home. I found almost all of my equipment on craigslist for a decent price.

that is quite a bit of alcohol. I should have looked in your diary before commenting. I lost body fat while drinking alcohol 1-2x weekly. 5-6 drinks a time. If you want to get lean, drinking that much isn't going to help you get there. Also, if you are filling up your daily calories with empty calories from alcohol, where…

I suggest using the TDEE -20% method for calories. It already has your activity included. No messing around with calorie burn calculations and "eating back" Why would you put sedentary when you're not? I "leaned out" while drinking alcohol, lifting, and light cardio.

I eat about 2100 daily

I lift, and do very little cardio (1-2x wkly) and I think I should be doing more for health reasons. On this site I see lots of people "cardio bashing" to mostly females who post on here "i'm running for an hour a day 7 days a week and I really just wanna get TONED why am I not getting results HELP ME?!"

It is recommended that diabetics eat an easily digestible carb before a heavy workout. Do you have a blood glucose monitor? Also, if you SO really cares about your health, then he won't mind adjusting his diet with yours. Have a talk with him about it. Low carb, moderate fat, high protein. That is what your diet should be.…

get Mio with some water/club soda & vodka. or the Trop 15 products with vodka. Pretty low calorie and will do the trick.

great that you started stronglifts. take measurements to see your progress other than numbers on the scale. soon you won't care about the number on the scale but the inches that you lose. I could give more advice is your diary was open.

whey protein isn't going to make fat fall off of your body, but it's a good way to add protein to your diet if you are not meeting your goals through food. I have a protein shake every other day to reach my goal. You could easily eat a chicken breast and get the same result.

I have friends with ED's on my list and am willing to keep them around if they are working hard at getting better. I can set a good example for those who are eating vlcd and doing hours of cardio. *But I will not keep friends who are constantly complaining about being 90lbs and too fat when they are doing nothing to get…
