  • Hi Lynds, I'm pretty much in the same boat. Lost 60+ lb for my wedding in 2013, had our second daughter in 2014 and just let it all go. Thought I wasn't *that* big, although I obviously knew I'd put some back on...weighed myself this morning and I'm 7 lb HEAVIER than I was at my biggest. Talk about a wake up call! All that…
  • Hi all I'm a restarter too. Lost 62lb for my wedding but gained 47 lb of it back from having my second daughter last year. Aiming to lose 40-50 lb, although am a bit more limited in my opportunities to hit the gym now I have two kids (I also have a three year old) to run around after. Happy to have new MFP friends, so feel…
  • Hi! I joined back in 2012 and lost 62lb for my wedding in 2013. Fell pregnant, gave birth in July 2014 and surprise surprise, post-baby I have put 47lb of it back on! I tried to lose the baby weight straight away but my heart wasn't in it, back properly this time to get this jelly belly gone! Add me if you like hun, I'll…
  • You tard.
  • Way to go WVmom24! Well done chica. Super proud of you. I'd post a pic of you in your bridesmaid dress but it's a secret until the big day! By then you'll be teeny tiny anyway :drinker:
  • You need the img code, not the http one hun :flowerforyou:
  • 1. Being warm. I'm always cold now. 2. Being able to eat whatever I want, however much I want, without so much as glancing at the packaging or giving it a second thought. Sometimes calorie counting sucks! I hate KNOWING how many calories are in that block of cheese because I can't claim ignorance any more. 3. My boobs…
  • You look amazing, so proud of you. You're going to be a gorgeous bridesmaid :flowerforyou:
  • I usually go over my sugar too...I've tried to switch a few things out that I know are high in sugar, but I ignore sugar from foods like fruit, yoghurt, etc and just try to avoid obvious ones like chocolate! But even low calorie options like Slim Fast, Weight Watchers etc still have a lot of sugar and it hasn't affected me…
  • Hi! I'm 5'10 from the UK...been on MFP for a year now, and 60 lb down, 16 lb to go. I've lost count of the number of plateau's and stalls in my weight loss in that time...the longest was over two months. I also gained back 7 lb OVERNIGHT one night in December for no apparent reason and had to lose it 1 lb at a time, all…
  • Almost every day I ask my OH what he would like for his evening meal and give him a list of options. I then eat during the day according to how many calories I have left. He then comes home and says "Oh I've changed my mind, forget the X, I fancy Y now." Makes me want to brain him with a frozen chicken! It's not so bad…
  • I was on the Cerazette bc pill which you take 365 days a year, it stopped my periods entirely. Since I've changed to Microgynon (three weeks on, one week off) I've started having periods again, but my weight loss has slowed right down. Now instead of losing a steady 1 lb a week, I've been staying the same for two weeks,…
  • Hi I'm a mum with a 17 month old daughter, started my weight loss a year ago, am 60 lb down, 16 to go to goal weight! :flowerforyou:
  • Thank you all for your lovely words :flowerforyou: I'm nothing special, I haven't got a personal trainer and I have definitely fallen off the wagon a few times. I'm a housewife with a young daughter to look after, and It's taken me a year of eating better and being more active to get this far. You don't have to be…
  • Hi all I'm just short of 5'10 and currently 200 lb. My start weight was 258 lb and my goal weight is around 180 (give or take!). I'd love some more friends in a similar boat, feel free to add me :flowerforyou:
  • No and I never would! I have my daughter's name tattooed on my forearm, and if I have any more children I will have their names, but my fiancé and I would never get each other's names...we've both known friends who have had them lasered off or covered up after a break up! A girl I know had "Lewis" (her fiancé's name)…
  • I originally only had certain things (especially desserts) as a reward for hitting a goal. But it made me crave them more, and obsess over the scale too much. Now if occasionally I want something that's heavier in calories than I'd like, I either cut my calories during the day so I don't go over, or (in the case of takeout…
  • Great that's really helpful, thank you
  • I have been working on my pushups, am only on day two and feeling the ache already! Should I treat bodyweight exercises the same as I did strength training and have rest days?
  • Great work, I love your smile! Congratulations :flowerforyou:
  • Lol great tip! I exercise with my top off too...the sight of that jelly belly wobble makes me work twice as hard  lol!
  • You're right, I apologise, my mistake, I always confuse BMR and TDEE! :blushing:
  • I was interested in this as I'm currently losing weight but plan on trying for a second baby at the end of the year and don't want to gain back unnecessary weight! I read that you should eat your normal BMR in the first trimester, about 300 extra calories a day in the second trimester, and about 450 extra calories a day in…
  • Another 60 lb and you won't even be obese - you'll be overweight! :drinker: A great feeling, my BMI was 37 when I started, it's currently 29. I had a major celebration when I became overweight! Lol
  • I've tried something similar to this whenever I have plateau'd in recent months. I'm usually good at sticking to my calories, eating around 50% of my exercise calories back, drinking water, getting enough sleep etc. So when I get stuck at the same weight for weeks on end, I go on tablets for about a week to give me a boost…
  • I was considering doing this, because a part of me thinks that having that "56 lb lost" ticker makes me complacent. It took me from March to Christmas to lose that 56 lb but I know I'm not as strict with myself as I once was, because I tell myself "it's okay, you've lost 56 lb, that's great, go ahead, have that treat, you…
  • Hi. My start weight was 258 in March, got down to 202 (four stone! woop!) but back up to 207 thanks to pigging out at Christmas! Add me if you like :flowerforyou:
  • I set my goal in March (at 258) to reach my goal weight of 174 by my wedding in October 2013. 9 months on, I'm currently 202 (2/3rds of the way there) with 10 months left. Feeling good! The number on the scale is getting less important to me as I'm getting healthier, slimmer and stronger. I walked a 5k for charity. I was a…
  • THANK YOU!!! :flowerforyou:
