Nottingham here. Log in every day, have lost over 10 stone so far and I'm slowly working on the rest!

Don't punish yourself for having a fun weekend. You'll turn it round. I've used the BH to restart after a week of health scare stress. It's hard getting back to healthy ways but you'll do it because it's what you want.

I've got very low iron too so need to go back to enquire about removal I think. Wasn't told it was an option, but after 3 years on ferritin my ferritin level is fine, but iron still too low and get dizzy at Zumba and certain times of the month. It's compromising my travel options etc.

Don't lie to yourself about how much you're consuming or burning might be a helpful tip too.

I'm about 7 miles from Nottingham. Would love some really local FitnessPals to drag out for walks/socialising :-)

Another Nottingham here.

I'm in Nottingham. I've lost just over 10 stone so far using this site - so no excuses - it works! I will be here for quite a while yet if you want to add me?
-
I've lost 144lbs so far and still have a bit more to lose if you want to add me? It's taken me 4 years, but I've done it safely and healthily and have learned a lot along the way.

I've lost and kept off 10 stone so far, so yes, I think it's sustainable. Calorie counting is simple and straightforward using easily available information. All these Points System plans are doing is translating calorie counts and macros into their own mystery language that you need to subscribe to understand. I prefer to…

I only ate back about half of my exercise calories yesterday (burned over 1000) but got home late after the pool and just trusted my appetite. They can always be taken the following day if you really need them. Often that's when I'm hungrier.
-
I weigh a couple of pounds less than you but get around 600 calories for 10000 steps if that's any help?
-
I used to binge eat. I'm 4 years in and still losing but consider logging everything a cure to bingeing and intend to stay on here once I'm done to keep myself in check. At the end of the day every morsel you eat is a decision you make. If you're focused and make yourself stay at least within maintenance calories you'll…

It could also be low ferritin levels (iron) or plain old exhaustion!
-
Why are you on 1200 calories? Are you eating back your extra activity? Sounds like you're dramatically undereating and skipping meals is leaving you weak.
-
I'd say it's mind over matter. Certain foods you can just tell yourself "I don't eat that anymore" and move on, others you need to make provision for within your calories if they are things you'd crave and binge on otherwise, but generally you have a habit you need to break. Have better choices on hand and you'll be less…

I'm about 3/4 of the way along but would be happy to be friends.

I log in every day if you want an accountability partner? Have your diary open so you think twice before making bad choices, but log everything good and bad. It sometimes is just a case of deciding you ARE going to do it and before long it becomes second nature. (Currently 4 years in and 144lbs down)

I started here 4 years ago and have lost 144 pounds so far, but have at least another 45 to go, more if I was to follow BMI guidelines... If you want to friend me for inspiration and accountability along the way please do. I promise you all the effort is worth it. You will find your true self in the process and spring out…

I've lost 143lbs here so far but am still in the 200s and would love more friends in their 200s to keep me company along the way.

I'm in the Nottingham area. Been here 4 years, log in daily and actively contribute. I have lost 143lbs so far and am looking for at least another 30lbs, but expect I'll stay on for maintenance too. That seems so strange to be considering even, but feels good! I've met some nice people along the way but it would be nice to…

I did/do, hence my username. I've progressed to other classes now too but aqua was a great way to build my stamina and get fit in a safer way to start.

I had PF for around 6 months, it cleared but now I'm suffering with a similar pain behind my knee and sometimes further up leading to hobbling around after exercise, but it's definitely not a joint thing. Is this related?
-
Well done. Feels good doesn't it?

This site is what changed things for me. I'd been going it alone and struggling on too few calories for my size and my weight loss stalled and I started feeling a bit desperate at the thought of not losing despite being hungry most of the time. MFP was a revelation to me. Exercise calories to eat back? Yes please! That…

If anything I favour those that have got a lot to lose. What have I got in common with someone who's "struggling to lose 10lbs".
-
I think it depends what you want it for. I use mine to correct my activity level here predominantly so that I'm eating at the proper deficit. I'm set to sedentary and it'll give me extra calories when I've slipped into lightly or highly active. It's given me an incentive to move more, to be more mindful when I've been…

Yoo Hoo from Nottingham!

What she said! MFP makes it easy.
