Thanks for doing the 5K. It is amazing what they have learned to do for cancer these days. The research works!

I'll join the challenge. I usually eat one veg at each meal but I know that's puny and I have been trying to make it two veg and a fruit. This challenge should spur me to be more accountable. This is the season to begin this challenge with all the asparagus now and rhubarb on the way. This will be very good for me.

If you feel healthy, stick with it. Good nutrition, exercise -- what's to complain about. I've noticed that when people drop a lot of weight, it does show in the face as a bit drastic at first but eventually, the body remodels and all seems to become more in tune. Family will get used to it. Stick up for yourself. All the…

One of those non-scale victories!

You deserve to be proud!! I know it took a lot of determination and work but look at the difference 50 pounds can make!!! Good for you!

My oh my, what a difference 20+ pounds make. Congratulations!:drinker:

Wow, you really worked hard to lose all that weight so quickly. You look terrific and I'll bet you're feeling pretty terrific too. CONGRATULATIONS.:drinker:

Congrats! You're doing great. Gives me hope!:drinker:

You can add me if you like. I have to be low-impact myself as I have a hip replacement and IF IT EVER STOPS SNOWING OR RAINING, my goal is walk. We're in the same time zone so we can virtually walk together each morning. It would be an honor to work with you on your way to better health as we both reach our goals. In any…

You had me giggling already this morning. I found that the support you get with your Pals here is really a big part of the success of the site. I'm sure you'll get lots of pals with that sense of humor you shared. Congrats on your success so far and keep that attitude!

I agree with all you said. You will love this site --IT WORKS!
-
You are off to a good start. This site really works if you commit to logging every day and you will learn about your diet and how to modify things as you go. Feel free to add me if you like. We can do this.:flowerforyou:

Hi. I'm a 68 yo woman. I joined in April 2012 and lost 40 pounds by September 2012. I was amazed at how keeping track of my food really works. Unfortunately, I had a fall, a break and surgery and now I'm coming back to lose the 30 pounds I gained back in recovery and hopefully about 20 more to reach my original goal. This…

This is a great site for losing that extra weight. I've found that if I log each and every meal, each and every day, I have begun to learn what it takes to stay within the calorie limits calculated for me. From now to July, you should do just fine if you stick with it. Good luck to you and wishes for a skinny summer.

Oops, this was meant to be a reply to Naughykeef's comment.

Ain't that the truth. I rejoined this week and my first day of meal logging really revealed the problem. Yikes. I am going to log every day -- it is so valuable. Good luck to you.

Hi. Lets be pals. I'm 67. I used this website to good success in 2012. Then I fell, had to have surgery and of the 40 pounds I'd lost, I gained back 30. I just finished a second course of physical therapy that really did the trick and I feel better, walk better and am determined to get back on that horse (figuratively…

Logging your food is very effective. Search for recipes for low-cal food and ways to adjust your favorite recipes to make them more healthy. Don't deprive yourself of things you love but decrease the amount you eat of them and as you do your logging, you'll see the impact they have on your calorie counts and you begin to…

I lost 40 and gained back 30 so I can relate. Gotta learn how to maintain this time. Feel free to add me if you like. I am determined to do it this time and KEEP IT.

Actually, once you start having results based on your effort, it is exhilarating and gets easier. I found that the first couple weeks are an adjustment. You have to learn new foods, eating patterns, change old habits to new habits and you have to resist that tummy grumbling telling you to snack. After about that first 2…

Love you have you as pal. I'm not working toward a goal date but I am working. It would be fun to have a Swedish connection as my grandparents came to Minnesota from Sweden. Please add me if you wish.
