  • Thank you for answering! :) No, I'm not going on a banana diet. I don't have enough self-control to follow any diet, anyway...
  • I think they are deeply unhappy people. :( They just dont know how to relieve their suffering. They probably just dont want to admit their weakness in the first place. So there is no hope for them to learn how to achieve true happiness. I am very sad for them. :( God forgive them.
  • First of all : good thing is you can talk together! :) Communication is the key to solve any social riddle. Second : it's normal that you feel a relief since you were oppressed by the lack of space. And it is normal to need some space for yourself, some time on your own... Some couple, who are very much in love, choose to…
  • Im 5'8". My current weight is 150. Last year I went down to 140 and still wasnt called "Miss Bikini"! :P However, I was very pleased with my look, so 140 is my "official" goal weight (again!). ;) However, once Im there, I will see and maybe consider a new goal (135? 130?).
  • I prefer setting MFP to "sedentary" (since I have a desk job), but I do log EVERY exercises Im doing. If I go for a walk, I will count it. If I do vigourous cleaning in the house, I will count it. If I do strength training, I will count it (using "hatha yoga" data, since it is the most relevant I think for me). Etc.
  • I am bisexual, but I dont tell people because Im still affraid of consequences... Only my closest friends know (and people I dont know at all, like you guys on this forum! lol XD). However, my husband once outted me to my mom. :( Im pretty sure he did it on purpose to hurt me... At the time, I had just broken up with him,…
  • I must agree too...
  • Im not so picky... I just cant stand some textures, especially on non-tasty foods : - tofu - humus - clam ... It makes me feel like I am not eating actual food. It's gross! :S
  • Gwen Stefani :flowerforyou: ( I prefer keeping my naturally SMALL boobs rather than getting fake big balloons! :P)
  • I have 2 boys : first is 3 years old, second is 20 months old... and third is still very far in my dreams (and will most likely never come true! :P). I got my "overweight" from these two pregnancies. Most is gone, but it tends to come back if I dont take care...
  • Thank you for your comments. :) I just adjusted my settings so my diary is public now (I have nothing to hide! lol :D). My netcalories is always over 1200 : no way I would "starve" myself! ;) But I go to bed hungry... Maybe I dont count well my calories in and out ?! :S Or maybe its just the habit of eating junk snacks in…
  • Thank you Tina! ^^ I will definately try the orange chicken me too! :D Btw : my husband has diabetes also. He just learned about it, so he needs to change his lifestyle... It's part of my motivation to eat better myself (to be a model for him!). :)
  • Heather : Ive heard it is common and normal to gain a few pounds when you start a new exercising programm. (Someone once explained me it's something about your muscles retaining water, as a reaction to the "new stress" they suffer...) The good news is the water will go away in a few weeks as your muscles get used to the…
  • I took this quote from Willmarie... Very inspiring, thank you! :) Lots of gals (and ONE man! lol) with different goals... But we are all motivated and we WILL do it ! :D
  • Dancing. :D
  • Are you going to do strength training at the gym or only cardio ? At home, with light weights, you can do some good exercises for your arms (biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest and back). And about crunches, dont forget to do side crunches too! ;)
  • I tried and liked Jillian Michaels' DVDS : 30-Day-Shred (20 minutes cardio + strength training), Banish Fat Boost Metabolism (50 minutes pure cardio), No More Trouble Zones (50 minutes cardio + strength training). For strength training, you will need some dumbells (3 lbs if you are a beginner). And you will need a mat to…
  • Try it with your stroller and you will have your answer. :)
  • I would say it depends on your body type... I am 5'8. The lowest Ive ever seen on the scale is 128, but I was very sick and wasnt able to eat for almost 3 weeks... and I did gain back some weight as soon as I started eating again! :P When I was younger (16-20 y-o) my normal weight was 137 and I think I was looking great!!!…
  • Hi! You could set it to "light active" for 6 weeks, then switch to "sedentary" for 4 weeks... But if you dont want to bother, I would suggest "light active". Even when you are at college, if you do a lot of walking (to go to your classes...), that counts as "activities" to my sense! :)
  • Im pretty new at "eating healthy" me too and Im still far from perfect. Every week, I buy these for my meals and snacks, because they are easy/not-too-bad choices : Meals : - roasted chicken (from the grocery) - fish (salmon, trout...) - extra-lean ground beef (because most of the recipes I know need ground beef...) -…
  • Sorry, but I heard you cant target area for fat loss. You can target area to tone muscle, but that wont get rid of the fat. In order to lose fat in your thighs, all you can do is "eating less calories than your body burns" (so eat better, exercise more...). Hopefully, once you'll get skinny, you will have nice thighs too.…
  • I think its a good idea to allow you "bad foods that you ENJOY" from times to times. But try not to eat TOO MUCH of those. Maybe one beer instead of 3 would still make you happy without hurting too much your weight loss process ? ;) And be sure to track them too, so you can see and realize how much calories you get...…
  • Dancing! :D
  • I have to agree... ;)
  • Thank you, but as I said I have other things to do too... So my question is really about what can I do in 20 minutes at lunch time? :S
  • I burn about 450 calories doing the entire workout. ( Im 5'8, 148 lbs. ) I am a new fan of Jillian Michaels! :D
  • I use it very often as a cardio workout! ;) According to my HRM, I burn 375 calories for 45 minutes. However, I only dance to the more difficult songs and really get my entire body moving. The loading time between songs doesnt bother me since it allows me to catch up my breath a little and to drink some water.
  • Mmmm... a bed! I wish I could sleep more! Having two babies who dont sleep their whole night, I feel lucky when I can get a total of 7 hours of sleep... Fortunately, I am still on "maternity leave" so I dont have to workout first thing in the morning. But I am returning to work soon and there is NO WAY I will get up…
  • Speaking about hair and shampoo... I have always had big issues with my hair (damaged, oily, dandruffs...). :S I have tried many products but never found anything that would really make my hair look "wow!". One day (a couple of weeks ago), I tried my baby's shampoo (since my shampoo bottle was empty! :P). And actually, I…
