  • I really need some help here guys. I've been stuck for like three weeks now and I'm trying really hard not to give up. I've been working out almost everyday and really getting my heart rate up. I'm wondering if I'm eating too little. I usually eat 1200 calories a day and then some of my exercise calories, but I was reading…
  • Mine's tomorrow, I'm a pisces. I've been sticking with it pretty good for me since January. Let us know what you find.
  • Welcome and good luck!! You've come to a great place, everyone here is great and willing to help in any way that they can. You can do this!!
  • My prayers will be with him and those who are close to him. The Lord will see him through this, just remind them that the Lord never gives us more than we can handle and when it seems like He has all we have to do is lean on Him and he will get us through.
  • Today I DID NOT want to work out. I had the flu over the weekend and we're getting ready to go on vacation so I just figured why bother. But I finally just made myself do it. And now I feel so much better. It's amazing to me what 30 minutes of exercise can do for you!!
  • No I know exactly what you mean. I used to be tiny and in my mind I still am, but in the mirror I'm definitely not. Also I've always had a lot of muscle so I used the old "muscle weighs more than fat" saying as a crutch. As much as I hate the way I look right now, I know it's better to see it and change it than to live in…
  • I don't really know what to tell you except that maybe at your new weight you need to increase your calories a little bit to kind of jump start yourself again. Also are you exercising? Maybe you need to change up your workout routine, try something new and see if that helps. Other than that, good luck and trust me the…
  • I take a list too. Also I try to only go once every two weeks. I plan what we are going to have and then make my list. It saves me so much more $$, time and calories. Also it makes me less tempted to go out if I already know what's for dinner.
  • Yeah I know all about the weather- luckily we're having some sun today but it seems like Spring is never going to get here- the snow is still over 4 feet deep. And with the sun it's made the roads really slick so I still can't go out and walk. As for your throat my dad used to swear by gargling warm salt water and to tell…
  • We're here for you. A great place to start is to make little goals and changes so that it's easier to stick with. Maybe try swapping out soda for water or something else that's healthier and you can do. Good luck to you, you can do this!!!
  • That sounds soooooooooo good. This is the site that I use http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calculator.asp I hope that helps. Have a great night and enjoy your yummy dinner!!
  • I know what you mean. I started back to work this week and had to leave my little one at the sitters for the first time ever. He chased me to the door- I cried all the way to work. I thought for sure that this weekend we would have a good time, but he's been really hard to deal with. I feel horrible too, but I know that in…
  • Thanks guys that was helpful. I already put in everything that I'm going to eat today and I still have 500 calories left(including exercise calories) but only 1 gram of protein, but I'm not going to worry about it anymore!! Once again thanks and good luck to everyone!! Happy Friday!!
  • I eat a lot of apples, they're only like 55 calories and since their sweet and crunchy it helps keep me out of the chips and chocolate!! Also bananas are a great snack too, easy if you're on the go. I hope that helped a little.
  • I'm doing really good sticking within my calories but everyday I'm over on my protein. I don't know if this is hurting me or not. I eat all lean protein ( mostly elk meat) but I don't know if it's bad to be over everyday. Does anyone know? I think that it's probably alright if I stay within the calories, but I'm not sure.…
  • I agree that this site is great for those of us who are stuck in the real world. I love the fact that it's free and gives you enough freedom to live your life. I think that even the best "program" can fail once you start living in the real world again. I love the way that this site helps you to tweak the way that you live…
  • That's great!! I too am having a good day... I got a treadmill and got it all put together and ready to go for in the morning!! Also I went out to dinner and didn't go over my calories, I actually have some left over so I get to have a banana before bed:laugh: Thanks for sharing and making me think about how good…
  • I'm starting a new six week program tomorrow where I'll do cardio MWF and weight training TTH. My question is this is pilates considered strength training or cardio? I know it's kind of a stupid question but I really want to incorporate pilates into my routine. Thanks for any help.
  • Today I cleaned out my closet and found a ton of clothes that I have been saving that I haven't worn in years. Talk about a motivator...I've had a hard tome sticking to it lately, but now I feel completely revitalized and ready to get back on the wagon!!! I can't wait to be able to get back into all of those…
  • those are great!! Thanks for sharing!!
  • I'm in the same boat today!! I don't have the answer either, all I can say is that I know one day won't kill you- so don't worry so much about it:tongue: I know that the weekends are killers for me and I'm even considering giving myself them off- I don't know, but I read an article about his lady who lost 50 pounds in 3…
  • That was such a beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing. I know that she is with our Father now and appreciates all the love that you have sent her. My prayers are with you. You are a strong and beautiful person!!
  • You are in the right place!! Welcome and good luck to you! You will always find someone on here ready and willing to help you any way they can. Congratulations for doing it the right way!!
  • Me too, I'll weigh in tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to it because I bought a new digital scale and it weighs 5 pounds heavier than my old scale and that sucks, but I guess it's better to be accurate than to like what you see. Good luck everyone, I know mines going to be up.
  • I'm right there with you. Don't worry summer will be here soon(I hope- we still have sooooo much snow) and then we can all get out with our little ones. Just remember that no one is super woman and all those celebrities that drop the baby weight right away have someone to cook for them, clean for them, tell them when and…
  • Welcome this is a great site and everyone is willing to help in any way that we can!! Good luck and good for you trying to be an example for the people that you love!!
  • That's good to know. I love mexican food too and sometimes it's really hard for me to have it and not go over. Thanks for sharing!! Congrats on staying in your calories!!
  • I agree with them I mean after all a calorie is a calorie at midnight or six am right. However I would stay away from sweets just because you wont be active enough to burn them off. Enjoy your snack and the rest of your day off.
  • I don't know anything about it, but it does sound interesting to me. I'm going to go take a look at what you read. Thanks.
  • So I was reading on prevention.com and it said that you should try to balance your calories throughout the day in your meals. Like having 300 calories per meal and 150 calories per snack. Does anyone know anything about this. I usually escalate throughout the day with breakfast being the least calories and dinner being the…
