Wow...that's all I can say...WOW! :) Thanks sooo much for sharing your incredible story!

130-135 would be HEALTHIEST... especially if you plan to have muscle and definition at all. I'm 5 feet but very muscular so I shoot for 135. Don't get too caught up on BMI, the shorter you are, the more inaccurate it can be.

Awesome!! :)

Well said, it works, no doubt, but it's so bad for you. You can get short starvation and malnutrition effects! Please think twice, and remember HEALTHY is the new skinny!!

YIKES!, I basically love it all! :(
-
Never been a huge chocolate fan...but I LOVE caramel, so if caramel comes with the chocolate I'll like it.

I think interval training would be your most accurate option. :)

You look great!! Keep up the great work!! INCREDIBLE! INSPIRING!

There's a LOW IMPACT Yoga Booty Ballet I like. It's even encouraged that the cardio is so mild to go without shoes. It's VERY different from everything else I do and fun...on that note. Some ZUMBA is very low impact too. Let me know if you have any more questions, feel free to PM me. :)

Off the top of my head, a recumbent bike and NuStep would be a great start for cardio. And of course, almost all, if not all, selectorized weight machines are great. You could do the machines in a circuit format....1:30 at each machine and move to the next. Let me know if you have any further questions! Feel free to PM me!…

Well defined, simplest and very accurate explanation.

I don't run barefoot, but I have read bits and pieces from Born to Run... EXCELLENT, highly recommend! I'm acutally attending ACSM Northland Spring Conference in Minneapolis MN, next week. There entire conference is on the barefoot running debate. My boyfriend runs with Vibrums...loves them. I recommend buying them from…

This is Excellent Advice. I'm running my first Half Marathon in September, however I've been running 5k's and 10k's for years! Rest is soooooo important. Before you get out again and run take a day or 2 off, on the day off so some stretching and/or Yoga, it's amazing how it boosts the body in action again and helps heel.…

Hahaha....I just had the same problem! Yesterday I bought some compression shorts, I wore them this morning running, LOVED THEM!!!! Can't believe I ever went without them! THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE HELP! Thanks so much everyone for the help!!! I went to Rogan's and picked them up, the service was great there, and I was surprised how educated the sales associate was too!! I bought Asics Gel-Nimbus 13. I LOVE them already. Went for a walk to work them in!!! :) But, DAMN they weren't cheap!!!

Thanks! I know my feet well, and truly understand my gait. But I know NOTHING about shoes!!!! I have no idea what show is made for "what type" of foot or gait....BLAH.....
-
I typed the last thing wrong...I meant I'm a Supinator. My heel strike is the outside of my heel....and I have EXTREMELY high arches... Does this info help narrow down what I should be looking at?
-
Thanks...unfortunately, I live in a "small-ish" town and there is NO place that analyzes gait, that'd require a 2 hours drive :( However, I do know I'm a pronator and have EXTREMELY high arches.
-
Thanks a lot!!! That really does help. I did look at the Asics, although they are the one pair I didn't try on. Thanks! :)
-
Welcome!! I love MFP :) Good luck with all your goals!
-
Also, during practice drink a fluid with calories instead of water....such as Gatorade, or some sports drink of that sort
-
Drink a high calorie protein drink before and after practice. If that's not something you can buy last mintute, chocolate milk is easy to drink too and buy at any little gas station.

I instruct aerobics classes too, so I am cognizant of this as well. And currently I'm working at Victoria's Secret. I have a couple great options. Try the Bio-Fit line and the Incredible line at Victoria's Secret. They are soft material that lays flay against the skin. I also like a couple of Yoga-Fit Panties by Pink. I…

I'm the same way...I'm also overweight according the BMI, but I'm 4'11 According to BMI, I could be 94lbs and be "healthy" doubtful....
