  • Hey -- I am the same way - but unfortunately for me, the answer was 'no,' I can't stop counting on the weekends and still lose weight. Good luck to you!

  • I searched everywhere and found them in 2 places at Whole Foods: 1 in the aisles in the asian section (these ones were gross), and 2. in the refridgerated area by the cut up fruit. They were OK -- somewhat palateable -- but I wouldn't recommend....
  • Here's an AWESOME drink I love -- Green Tea, Hot steamed Milk (or fatfree cream is even better), splenda and a drop of vanilla extract. ITs called a LONDON FOG. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  • WOW -- my husband and I are sitting here marveling at you! Can I ask, MacMadame? -- did you have to get skin removed?
  • ACK -- thanks for fixing my photo above but my 'after' is screwy! LOL I will find a new one! Pink
  • IT WON"T WORK....I've tried 2 billion times.
  • Okay everyone --since I asked you all to do this, I better put my own up! Here I am so far....:blushing: http://photos.myfitnesspal.com/images/photos/245/817/245817_5607_thumb.jpg?1907 BEFORE http://photos.myfitnesspal.com/images/photos/245/817/245817_3531_thumb.jpg?1907 CURRENT --80lbs down, 70 to go!
  • Thanks Pals, I was able to fix it but removing my initial posts and then reposting. But by then I had consumed 113 calories over without realizing! boooo! --Pink
  • You guys are HOTTTTTT! Thank you so much for the inspiration! I'm keepin' at it!! --Pink
  • Hi MFP Gang, I made THE MOST delicious thing last night -- if you like sushi this is a real hit! FOR THREE -- Multiply or divide if required. Ingredients -- 5 sheets of Nori seaweed, 1 cup (uncooked) of instant brown rice, three eggs, 1 tsp of sesame oil, canola cooking spray, 2 tbs sesame seeds, squirt of hot sauce.…

  • Thanks Ladies! WOW -- I can't believe how much weight you've both lost. What an inspiration!
  • Hi Gang -- I make HUGE quantities of one-pot meals like, chili, quinoa casserole, chickpea salad, pasta and meat sauce, etc... and I put them in 1 serving measured out foil containers (from dollar store) and freeze them. It is like having your own frozen dinners without the 1. additives, 2. high cost of frozen entrees. I…
  • These are GREAT suggestions! Keep 'em comin'!!!
  • How do you have things broken down? You can go a little over in protein, but too much is still too much. What is your total daily calorie allottment? For 1500 calorie diet on a healthy person it should be: 40% Carbohydrates (150g) 30% Proteins (113g) 30% Fats (50g) Sugars -- max of 60g per day (try to keep at least 40g…
  • YOU GO, GIRL!
  • I too hate flying -- but -- I still do it. Its kind of one of those "suck it up, Buttercup" things -- I just ask myself -- "What? Are you going to let fear stop you from seeing the world and living life? That's worse than letting fat stop me!?" Good luck! Pink
  • No more than 2500mgs Good luck! It is tough! Although -- it makes a HUGE difference on appetite!
  • Hi There, The medication doesn't usually take effect for about an hour after you take it. How much it will drop is dependent on WHICH medication it is. www.mayoclinic.com is a very good site for credible information. If your blood pressure has lowered because of the weight loss, you will need to talk to your doctor about…
  • I have a lot of loose skin after 27 lost and lots more to go. Its just my luck I guess. I haven't had kids yet, so my plan is to lose weight, have kids, then get a tummy tuck and boob job! In Canada it is covered by health insurance if it effects your health, which I does -- so I'm good to go!
  • My tip is decide not to. You control whether you fall off the wagon or not. Decide not to. The power is yours. Also -- some goal/rewards I've used in the past are: 1 week of staying within calories = new make-up 1 month of staying within calories = mani-pedi The biggest rewards will be how you feel and the long healthy…
  • UGGH -- When I went off birth control my first two TOMs were TERRIBLE -- so I feel your pain sista! I am committed to working out every day too, so I also understand why you want to force yourself to do it. I would use this opportunity to listen to your body and be nice to yourself. If you PHYSICALLY feel crappy, you…
  • Yeah -- I'm doing the whole 'healthy carb thing' -- I only really like whole grain so that's not to hard. Where I run into problems is with fruit and yogurt and frozen yogurt and stuff like that. I can 'manage' the rest.... Sigh. Do you think if you go like.....maybe 30g or so over in carbs, if 80% of them are whole grain,…
  • I'm so sorry to hear this! I live in Canada and don't know the USA medical system, but would there be a free clinic you could go to? Praying for you, Pink
  • I do what Alanna does! They're all different!
  • I hear WARMING prune juice makes it work better -- that how they give it to seniors at old folks' homes.
  • Hi Joyous -- thanks for the feedback! I do tend to limit simple carbs -- only eating brown rice, wholegrain pasta and wholegrain breads. My weakenss as I'm sure you can see -- is ICE CREAM -- I eat 1 or 2 100 calorie cups a day. That is where I will make my 1st change if my losing slows down. Currently I am losing at a…
  • Read my response -- I told you to look at mine!
  • Hey Joyous, I am same height as you and I have a hard time too with the calories. My reason is this -- I am supposed to eat 1759 per day ( weigh a lot) -- and I CAN"T get that high without going waaaaay over in carbs or fat. That's not including exercise (which I do 7 days per week) that usually puts me over 2000! I am…
