Welcome! Feel free to add me. Always great to have people on this journey with us.

More than welcome to add me as well. Always looking for more motivation.

I am running a 5k race a month, but will also be doing a 10k and half this year as well. I think it is a great goal, and I think you should increase it as you feel comfortable. Have fun with it!

Thanks all. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't something I was doing wrong. I drink a ton of liquids throughout the day (mostly herbal tea, water, and usually late night sugar free hot coco). I think it is not so much that I am thirsty, but the dryness seems to get to me as well. It is not like I drink the whole bottle it…

See I can run over that in one stretch Obscuremusicreference, but even if I do my light running days 2-3 miles I need water with me. I wish winter made a difference for me, but I still need the water at about 2 miles.

Yeah AF came a couple days ago - I am up 3.2lbs, I am not going to weigh in until next week because I don't want to go up and then it says I lost 4lbs next week, when I know that is because of this time. I will always weigh to see the fluctuations. I have noticed as well that both TOM and ovulation affect my weight. It is…

Thank you for the answers. I figured the carb loading was not necessary, but just wanted to see how others felt about their carb/protein balance.

Thank you all for the answers. I will test things out and see how I feel - probably the best way to go.

Thank you so much for all the answers! Really appreciate all the feed back.

Thank you all. Will definitely have to check out that startbodyweight.com. Really want to improve my running with gaining the strength.

Thanks everyone! I was looking to do Tuesday/Thursday for lifting.

Maybe you can gorge the next day on carbs, but make sure you add some protein and healthy fat to it. Something like toast (though I like to use polenta), eggs, salsa and avocado. Or oatmeal with some nut butter, a fruit, and healthy oil such as olive or coconut oil mixed in. I find these very filling and they satisfy my…

Doing my first half July 18th, very nervous as my first 10k will be June 13th. Otherwise I am all about the 5k's. Anyone feel free to add me, would love the motivation and support.

Are you staying in your workout clothes for a while after? You need to get your wet workout clothes off and get into something warm and dry. Learned this the hard way after a Turkey Trot in 24 degree weather and didn't get to change for a couple hours. It was horrible.

Definitely buy running pants or capri's depending the weather by you. You really don't need two bra's if you can find one really good bra to wear. A lot will tell you if it is medium hold or firm hold. Of course you want to get the firm hold.

Thank you for all the responses. :)

Thanks!

Awesome! Keep up the great work...

I eat it when I need a quick meal and am too lazy to make something. In the end I am usually starving and the sodium seems to cause water weight. Much better cooking something if you can.

If you have an Aldi by you - definitely try the Friendly Farms Greek 0% milkfat. It is 140 calories, 24 g of protein, and only 7 sugars (one of the lowest I have seen). I add a little honey or Stevia to sweeten and a little granola for a great snack with lots of protein.

I think that way when I want to eat more than I should (kind of like giving myself permission). I have to take it one day at a time, I have to realize how far I have come and not wanting to start all over again, and lastly I have decided to find motivation through others...

3lbs is a great loss! Just keep doing what you are doing, and watch the weight drop over time.

Thank you for the post. Great info!

Looking to add friends as well. Open diary helps a lot to get idea's. Sent out a few friend requests (hope no own minds). Anyone feel free to add me.

Just sent a request. I started with the new year and my goal is to log all 365 days this year. I am always welcome new people as well. Looking for idea's and motivation all the time!

Sometimes people need a reward for achievements other than the obvious. Definitely shoes - though mine would be running shoes (I have about 3 pairs waiting in the wings hehe). I love to buy new running and/or yoga clothes.

No matter how bad. Track everything. I agree with the above posts - maybe having to see it in front of you will help stop binges in the future. Make a commitment to track no matter what.

Set small goals. Do something or aim for something 1 week at a time, 1 month at a time. Whatever you think will keep you going. Once you accomplish one thing within the time frame, try something else (while continuing to do your previous goal). When you try to think of everything at once or accomplishing everything it can…
