Good morning, I'm new to this group. Have been following "Joel" for a while, on and off....Hit it hard about a week ago and am doing the 6 week aggressive start....Once I made it through the detox symptoms from the caffeine withdrawal, I was good to go. I am just getting back on mfp after a long absence, my niece wanted…

I had it too, I tried everything and then someone on here suggested I try accupuncture....I tried it and I've been pain free ever since, it took 6 sessions, but it was worth every needle and every dime. That was a year ago......It's actually quite relaxing and although a little uncomfortable at first, doesn't really hurt.…

If you are looking for a good book to read regarding healthy eating and strength training and cardio training, pick up a copy of Body for Life, they are all over the used book stores. Great info and there is a companion "Eating for Life" cookbook that has some really good recipes in it........

I agree with waitingtobere ..... You do not need dairy to be healthy, it makes choices easier for protein (greek yogurt and cottage cheese), but you don't need it. You can easily get calcium and other vital nutrients from other foods. I personally love almond milk.....unsweetened......40 calories, it's delicious. Best of…

It can take your body up to 4 days to start burning fat again after drinking alcohol. I'm not saying you can't lose weight, but it takes a while for the body to process the alcohol and while it's doing that, it doesn't burn fat.

I have tried both, for me......I prefer Yoga, I do Hatha yoga for stretching, flexibility, balance and breathing. If you are struggling with back issues, I would suggest you meet with a certified yoga instructor or pilates instructor before you start out........you can seriously hurt yourself if you do some of the poses…

There is a Northstar on High Street in the Short North and there is one at Easton, those are the only two I know about in the Cbus area. I live in Licking County, so it's about 25 mins to get to Columbus for me....There is a new restaurant in New Albany that I want to try, they use all local produce and serve a lot of…

I love the Northstar cafe....I can never decide what to get! Haven't tried Edamame, but have heard it's really good. Need a trip to Trader Joe's soon, so maybe I'll check it out.

It's a Jillian Michael's DVD, they are available at Walmart and Target (that's where I've seen them) for about 10 bucks. I have the 30 day Shred and it's a good workout, it progresses in levels.....it's quick and you break a sweat..... I think you can use this in combo w/ running or other cardio.

Good Morning 17 DD'ers! I had a few slip ups yesterday.......did not get all of my water in, did not get all of my green tea..........ate some hummus....I was unprepared to be away from home so long. Preparation, I'm finding out is the key to success on this diet....especially the first cycle which is more restrictive.…

Cycle 1 Day 5 How is everyone doing today? The last time I did Cycle 1, I found day 5 to be the hardest for some reason, this time .... so far so good! Had a nice lady (90) offer me some gum drops and pie at work and I politely declined :) Now, last week, I would have taken them with the intention of giving them to the…
