  • it tends to give you the "barrel effect"...sure, you arent lumpy and bumpy, but you are ROUNDED, not flat tummy or anything, it just smooths what you have, doesnt make anything go away lol. so really, if you arent already somewhat in shape, its going to make you look like a barrel lol
  • actually, thats great! you may be losing fat and gaining muscle...a pound of fat is like a gallon of milk while a pound of muscle is like a 16oz steak. when you burn off fat and build muscle, you wont see pound loss, but you will see inch loss. keep it up!
  • you really cant get rid of them...you can lighten them by staying hydrated and toning your skin...but stretch marks are really rips in your skin that are VERY deep, no lotion or oil is going to penetrate where the problem really is...after 3 pregnancies, i know your pain very well, lol
  • i like pure protein bars...
  • I use a Kitrics and I LOVE it...if you have a food like a fruit or something else that has no nutrition label, you type in the number the book gives you and it will give you the exact info for the weight of food you are weighing...
  • we use insanity over here...itll get you your 5000 easy, probably even more
  • oh man...i almost peed my pants night owl, lol
  • 90 cal granola bars! i eat them quite a bit, lol
  • this question is kind of weird? what are you referring to? the area where you log the reps and sets and weight is for your records...when you want it to count towards your calorie counts you put it under your cardio exercise- its called "strength training" and you log how long you did it... does that answer your question?
  • as far as the elliptical etc getting boring, i take my kindle to the gym with me and i read the whole hour away...it has really helped, i rarely feel like stopping when i am reading. dont give up though, give your body the calories it needs and the water it needs to get you where you want to be...
  • no, you need protein to rebuild muscles you tear down while working out...so, using a protein powder isnt going to bulk you up if you arent body building like that. i eat protein bars in the hour after i workout every day, and i never bulk up because i dont do the exercises that will bulk me up. use a powder in your…
  • look at it this way- a pound of muscle (which you are building when you workout) looks like a 16oz steak uncooked...a pound of fat (which you are burning off when you exercise) looks like a gallon of milk... which would you rather have? and if you replace the milk with the steak, you wont lose weight, but you will lose…
  • i love my bullet blender, its small and portable...
  • double post, sorry!
  • for my workouts, i have adopted this one from jillian (maybe? lol) "unless you puke, faint, or die....keep going"
  • at some point, you have to decide whats more important...im a college student and while i would LOVE to go drink and carry on, i dont because my health and weight loss is much more important to me...
  • i just dont buy the junk, therefore i cant eat it, lol...i never go to the store hungry, and i satisfy the sweet craving with half of a pure protein chocolate deluxe bar...its 90 cals and 10g of protein for half the bar...just enough to repair muscles after the workout and doesnt taste too much like a protein bar
  • i scrapbook and do little crafts...i made a neat table runner for the kitchen, a art tote for my toddler (a bag with individual slots for each crayon and marker lol) aprons for the kids who do crafts at my house, and a few things for the baby...
  • i take the flintstones as well, no problems with those! and i take them before bed at night.... gdnplnty- i LOVE my shimmy scarf for zumba :) made it myself!
  • nope, no scale here...creates a hostile living environment, lol... no, we have a wii fit plus and i will use it for my weight about once a week, but i take my measurements 2x a week to see "real" results...i couldnt care less what my weight is, as long as i get to the measurements that i want... gotta remember...one pound…
  • i think mfp is more likely to be right...the machine doesnt know your weight, mfp uses your weight to calucalte calories burned. the machine is never right for me, but mfp seems to be right
  • if you are still uneasy about asking, just kinda see where they shop (walmart, HEB, albertsons, etc) and if they typically use name brands or store brands and make an educated guess...i think getting CLOSE to the calorie count is better than blowing it off, you know what i mean? it may not be exact, but it will be pretty…
  • i go with what MFP says...cuz it calculates based on your weight i believe...that machine, im not sure what its doing, lol...the treadmill i was using at the gym the other day said i only burned 10 calories, even though i RAN at 5mph for 20 minutes...
  • i decided that if i was going to let MFP hold me accountable, then i would make it known that i was on a weight loss journey and i would let MFP post to my facebook...that way i am very accountable, and if i start slipping, EVERYONE would know...the embarrassment factor is enough to keep me on track... now that i am…
  • will you be overly disappointed if you dont make 50lbs??? i have found that paying more attention to measurements helps offset any weight disappointment i may feel. this week, i have not lost any weight, but i have lost an inch off my hips, so thats a victory...besides, while i know that weight off the body is important,…
  • no one is saying eat mcdonalds all day...i was a nurse in the ER before i had children and began staying at home...there was one girl who came in vomiting blood, turned out she was eating between 500-750 cals a day and her body was EATING itself...she had been doing it for about 3 years religiously, thought she was doing…
