I notice lower back aching when I do rows sometimes, I usually equate this to not tightening more core to support my lower back while I'm lifting. I need to strengthen my core more!

I just got this one as well. Measures body fat, bone, muscle mass, etc. which I find more helpful than just my weight. It uploads to an app on my phone.

Apple cider? Are we talking the hard kind? Because I'm on that diet-it's delicious.

Why are you detoxing? That's not really a thing....

I got this overnight oats recipe from Skinnytaste that was really good-had blueberries and bananas in it, and chia seeds. I was skeptical that it'd keep me full all morning but it did, I'm going to make more for this week. :)

While I agree that people should be aware of what they are eating, until you've tried meal planning and food prepping when you have one day off a week, I don't think you can understand why people make the choices they make. Be grateful you get to stay home. Some of us don't have that luxury.

I'd lose my appetite too if I was drinking that stuff.

I intend to abstain for November to help with some weight loss, except for one day when I'm having people over to my house to celebrate my birthday. My SO is abstaining with me. Looking forwards to a November thread!

She tells women their periods will stop when successfully following her raw vegan diet, because periods are toxins being released from the body. She is so underweight and undernourished, and she thinks this is a good thing!

THIS, all of this. I love my little niece, but I love even more that I'm not the one having to raise her. I value my independence, my ability to do whatever TF I want when I want, and not having to plan about a kid. I've just never had that maternal drive other people have.

I actually wanted to mention something that came to my mind about the exercise induced asthma. There is a kettlebell athlete I follow on facebook-Lorna Kleinman, who had exercise induced asthma. I can't recall all the details but the skinny of it was that by working out with the bells, she managed to out-exercise her…

There is a program out there called "Moderation Management". They have a website, forum, and email listing. They are an alternative to AA for people who want to learn to moderate their drinking. They use this workbook called "Responsible Drinking" and offer tips and discussion on how to live moderately. I'd recommend it to…

I know everyone goes about weight loss their own way, but a diet that causes a rash?!? WHY? To each their own...

While I agree with the kettlebell recommendation, I have to caution on how important it is to do your research. Improper implementation can lead to injury. There are tons of really bad youtube videos out there on kettlebells-people who have no training or any business instructing others. Look for reputable sources like…

I was very fortunate that after the initial blow, he took it well and we both agreed that we wanted this to go smoothly. We're still friends. We used a mediator to work through the legal stuff. He kept he house but the mortgage is in my name while he establishes his income so he can qualify for the mortgage. Per our…

Except for the friend's brother part, you described a large chunk of my relationship with my ex husband. I told him I wanted a divorce last July, finalized in March, best decision I ever made.
