  • my shabbat menu does not look like that and i dont go to a kiddush on shabbos morning. That said I do eat more on shabbos but i probably average about 2500 on friday and shabbat but i make up for it by eating less during the week and i have been losing weight this way. its all about balance.
  • prepregnancy weight 125 lbs. height 5''2 at 6 and a half months postpartum and finally back to where i started. I weigh 124-125lbs and my measurements are back except for my waist and hips which are actually an inch SMALLER then prepregnancy. I guess exercise really helps with the inches. Now working on maintaining and…
  • I have a problem with migraines too. When I am not pregnant i usually take excedrin migraine to take it away but when I am pregnant I cant do that. What has worked for me is to go see a chiropractor who realigned my neck and the headaches went away. This treatment usually last for a few months so every now and then i go…
  • come join the fit, fabulous and pregnant group so that you can get support from other pregnant women here on MFP. I used MFP to log my food and exercise during my last pregnancy in order to gain 25 lbs for the pregnancy and stay fit. I had a healthy 8 lb baby boy who is now almost 6 months old. In your situation I think…
  • I usually dont log on shabbos, so its sort of a "cheat day" I guess. I try to eat less during the week so i save up calories for shabbos. I think its hitting your weekly calorie goals that counts. So far I am still losing weight using this approach.
  • what an inspiring story! You both look great! keep it up!
  • Even if you are eating right and exercising the weight will come on in the way it wants/needs to. I personally gained most of my weight in the 2nd trimester and at the time I was worried that I was gaining so much weight but it evened out in the third trimester and I ended up only gaining 25 lbs. So for me I gained about 2…

I used it throughout my whole pregnancy to keep myself fit and toned. Then at 7 weeks postpartum i went back to it. I am now almost 17 weeks postpartum and almost back to my…

  • I have been walking and going up stairs since I gave birth. Now at almost 7 weeks postpartum I started my circuit training workouts again. I was working out my entire pregnancy and I am so happy to be working out again, I cant wait to get my body back to where it was pre-pregnancy.
  • I did "the 30 day shred" till about 6 weeks pregnant then i switched to Joy Southworth "body by Trimester" DVDs since it was the most similiar type of workout, just with pregnant women in mind. I didn't want to worry about doing something potentially harmful and having to figure out my own modifications. I did the "Body by…
  • I went to scoobys calculator and put in my stats. My BMR is 1419 calories. At lightly active with a 20% calorie reduction i get 1561 calories. Add 500 for breastfeeding that would give me 2061 calories. Should i set that as my net and add exercise separately or just eat 2061 calories and no exercise calories. Still…
  • I read the book and listened to the CD almost every night in my last semester, it helped me fall asleep. However, I did not end up using it during my labor because my labor was so short this time and by the time i realized I was in intense labor, it was time to go to the hospital. I barely made it in time to get into a bed…
  • I dont add breastfeeding calories separately since its built in to my net calories. Originally i set my calories at 1900. Since due to my research using a few different calorie calculators, for me to lose 1 lb. a week i should be eating approximately 1400 calories. So 1400+500 for breastfeeding = 1900 net. Then since i eat…
  • My baby is 4 weeks old and i have my calories set to 1700 net since i tend to overeat on friday and saturday i put my calorie goal a bit lower for the rest of the week. I am not exercising much since i have not been cleared yet to workout and the weather here doesn't allow me to get out too often, so not doing much walking…
  • I have this bra and its great for high impact exercise. The straps are great for breastfeeding moms. They sell it on amazon too. http://www.amazon.com/Moving-Comfort-Womens-Fiona-Black/dp/B001AP5HPC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1391797535&sr=8-1&keywords=moving+comfort+fiona
  • So for the final results. I logged my food and exercise most of my pregnancy and i did a circuit training workout 3-5 days a week. I started off at 125 lbs at 5 ft 2 in. pre-pregnancy. I gained 2 lbs the first trimester. 17 lbs the second trimester and 6 lbs the third trimester for a total of 25 lbs. Last weigh in before…
  • hi i just had a baby boy on jan 20, 2014. I used MFP to lose weight after my last child. I maintained for about 9 months and got fit, then got pregnant again. I was determined not to undo all my hard work so i continued to use MFP throughout my pregnancy to log my food and exercise. I worked out 3-5 days a week and tried…
  • i also had this scare as well. I was eating healthy, logging my food intake and exercising and i gained 17 lbs in my 2nd trimester plus 2 lbs in the 1st trimester. But I stuck to it and guess what i only gained about 6 lbs in my 3rd trimester. I am now 39 weeks, due on Sunday and i am up 25-26 lbs. So don't stress just…

  • Thanx! I found that setting my calories at maintenance and logging my food intake consistently together with regular exercise helped keep my weight in check. I did gain most of my weight during my 2nd trimester, i guess thats just the way my body works. Wishing u lots of luck and a happy and healthy pregnancy.
  • I am 3 days away from my due date with Baby #3 and my weight gain is as follows. Pre-pregnancy weight 125 lbs at 5''2'. First trimester about a 2 lb gain. Second trimester 17 lb gain. And third trimester about 6 lbs gained. As of yesterday morning i weighed 150.4 lbs so I am looking at a 25-26lb gain this pregnancy. I ate…
  • my 3 yr old doesn't always sit in the stroller, she sometimes walks, which I am OK with since once the baby comes she will be losing her seat in the double stroller. Its just easier for me when she sits in the stroller cuz i can walk faster.
  • I am a week away from my due date and i am still working out. I have a set of prenatal circuit training DVDs called ''Body by Trimester'' by Joy Southworth that has two 30 min workouts per trimester. I do that 3-4 times a week, in fact i just finished doing a workout now. I also walk a lot pushing my 3yr old and 21 month…
  • there are lots of other exercise to work your core like planks and pelvic tilts. Regular abdominal crunches are generally not recommended during pregnancy after the first trimester, since it can cause diastisis recti.
  • looks like a great workout! thanx for sharing
  • you are doing great! You seem to be right on target for the recommended 25-35 lb gain.
