  • I agree with you 100% !!! I have done just about every "diet" out there. I have lost weight more times than I can count AND gained it back every time. What I learned a couple of years ago - quit "dieting". The key (for me) has been to relearn my eating. I do not deprive myself of any foods. I concentrate on moderation and…
  • I never have gone to one but I just read in our paper this week that Jillian Michaels is in business with curves now. So I wonder if there are going to be big changes in the franchise?
  • yes, yes, yes! I was a wearing 16 pants about 2 years ago. I am now into a size 12 in pants. You can do it too. I found one brand that runs small to size. I bought a size 12 in them about a year ago. All my other new pants were a 12 & fit but those didn't. Every week they were my test. Yesterday I tried them on again and…
  • Does anyone know if there is a way to "bookmark" a thread? This is one I would like to keep coming back to see other people's input. I beat myself up all the time because I will be soooo good with my food intake & then I will have a day (or days) where I am totally out of control. I assumed it was my thyroid but I also…
  • Good luck to you. I am glad you are celebrating your accomplishment. Every pound, half pound, ounce is a victory.
  • I do Centrum - they vary them as to age, needs. I do Centrum Silver Womens 55+
  • Sugar free pistachio pudding (made with skim milk) add 1 C drained crushed pineapple (in juice not syrup) add 1 C small curd low fat cottage cheese Mix together & refrigerate This is such a great dessert.
  • Just my two cents...Believe me I have tried every "diet" out there. I have finally had an epiphany and erased the word DIET from my mind. Quit DIETING. This isn't something you are going to do for so many weeks or months. This is something you are changing forever. You are doing a lifestyle change in order to be successful…
  • I am in for 12-15 pounds.
  • First I have heard of moducare. My arthritis is getting really bad so I think I will check it out & see what its all about.(also my immune system was damaged from chemo years ago) For my hashi's I take synthroid & it is working well but I also have a great endo who looks at the numbers but also listens to my symptoms. Keep…
  • That is fantastic! You look amazing. I am older and sadly my butt has drooped & flattened. I hear you on the squats but I cannot do since I have a knee replacement & the other knee is pretty bad. Any other suggestions for exercises to strengthen & round? Also what is T25? I am still learning a lot from MFP.
  • Great question! One day last week I went over my calorie goal by about 200 calories. Next morning I was up 3 pounds. And it took days to see it go down to normal. I thought water retention too but I drank extra water to flush out any sodium & not much success. I too am addicted to my scale, have to weigh myself every…
  • Pittsburgh PA - about 10 miles north of the city in North Hills.
  • I always have Chunky soups in my office for lunch. Filling, warm & the whole can is usually 200-280 calories. Drink lots of water to flush out the sodium.
  • I have the problem with being cold ALL of the time. I have found something that helps a bit. I have gotten quite creative with neck scarfs & pashminas. For me, having fabric around my neck helps tremendously. Everybody compliments me on my "fashion" but it is mostly for warmth. I am still cold but not as bad as without.…
  • I had a small party at my house. One lady there had lost about 40 lbs (and looked fantastic). Another woman (who herself was overweight as much as I was...) said in front of everone, well maybe you can give *** (fill in my name) all of your fat clothes you don't need anymore. I was humiliated, hurt, angry and upset. I kept…
  • I would question him again. My endo gave me the same instructions as other people here are saying. Always on an empty stomach, wait before taking supplements, etc. Check all available websites too. Maybe he explained it incorrectly to you. No use in taking it if your body is not going to absorb & use it properly. Good Luck!
  • I was put on CoQ10 when I started Crestor for my cholesterol. For some reason my body screws up my liver functions when I go on cholesterol meds. The CoQ10 works with the Crestor to help that. As far as thyroid...do not know. My endo knows I am taking but she has never commented on. Would be interesting to hear comments.

  • I do mine in the middle of the night during a "potty break" It works out great for me that I can have my coffee as soon as I wake up. It is always between 2 a.m. & 4 a.m. that I take it. No worries waiting to eat or drink in the morning then or to take my other meds.
  • I too have Hashi's. I have never heard of this before & do not know anything about it.If the levels are elevated as your are, do you know what, if any, symptoms this will show as? I have been experiencing unexplained pain in my feet over the last few months. Fells like I have hundreds of broken bones on the tops of my…
  • Hi Janine. I am Rosemarie & I will be "celebrating" my 13th. year in September. I am here for support for you & anyone else who needs it.
  • Crosby, Malkin, Fleurry...WHAT could be better than THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS ! ! !
  • I started over the last year with pain in my feet. The tops of my feet feel like they have a hundred broken little bones. I have also had slight swelling of my feet & ankles. I never gave the thyroid a thought as a possible culprit. I was thinking arthritis. Maybe I need to run this by my endo when I see her in October. We…
