Seriously, I was the same. I'd get motivated. lose 10lbs, fall off the wagon because the exercise was boring, and I had little will power as far as eating goes. I topped out at 205 lbs after back surgery in 2006, and after recovering, discovered Zumba. I am a walking infomercial now. I absolutely love it; it's so much fun,…

Very informative, thanks.

Fabulous! I wish every person who is in the position you were in could see this post. It IS possible, it just takes a LOT of hard work, determination, and dedication to yourself. You are truly an inspiration. I love your spirit! Congratulations, and i look forward to seeing those final 'after' shots. :drinker:

"Your wife is a Bigfoot, isn't she, Gus? Gooney-goo-goo" Always shave my pits. Shave my legs in the summertime, or when baring them in the winter. Hubby doesn't care either way. Couldn't care less what other people thought if I didn't. We all have out preferences; what one may think is normal, others may find 'gross'....ie…

Hello all! For the first time, I'm the short one in the room  . I'm 5'8", and small boned, and have always felt like I look like a lumberjack next to my petite friends. Some pics are hilarious....not! I started out at 202+ lbs after an injury and back surgery, and have slowly taken them off over the last 6 years…

Congrats!! A great accomplishment, to be sure. Zumba is a life changer; I was remarking the other day how I sound like an infomercial for Zumba. It's helped me lose 55 lbs, and now I teach, and get to help others get fit! It's amazing!! Zumba

Zumba. It has changed my life. I finally found exercise that I love to do, and it helped me lose 55lbs. Now I teach, and get to help others feel good, get fit, and have fun doing it.

I tried Zumba 6 1/2 years ago after back surgery. At first I felt silly and didn't know any of the moves, but I got a good sweat on, I had fun, and I felt like a million bucks. I've tried several types of aerobic exercise, but never stuck with anything; if it's not enjoyable, I just won't do it. 6 1/2 years (and 55 lbs…

I used to drink diet soda all the time, and found I was getting stomach problems. I have recently discovered Zevia soda, which is sweetened with stevia, and it's a great alternative that is calorie free and doesn't upset my stomach.

DotCanada, That was 1380 for the 30 Day Shred + 2 Zumba classes....the Shred alone was 180.

I teach Zumba, sometimes twice a day, and burn from 500-680cals per class depending on the type of class (beginner or youth classes are the lower end) 5 days a week. Yesterday I threw in a 30 Day Shred on top, and burned a whopping 1380 cals. I have a Polar ft60 which gives an accurate count. I generally try to eat back at…

Eat whatever you want. Consider it a treat. Back on track tomorrow. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff; all of your sweating can be done at the gym.:drinker:

Love my FT-60. I was a little concerned about the chest strap, but it is comfortable, tucks right under my bra band, and I don't even notice it.

Een America, first you get da suger. Den you get de money. Den you get de power. Den you get de weemen. I used to rock and roll all night and party every day! Then it was every other day...now I'm lucky to find half an hour a week in which to get funky. Marge: I'm afraid we're going to need a bigger house. Homer: No, we…

Just be careful! Zumba is completely addictive. It got me over 6 years ago, and I just can't stop.....I'm even pushing it on others! Just hit my 55lb mark in Zumba related weight loss.

I have a Polar ft-60, and it stays in place through a high impact Zumba workout, no problem, and I sweat A LOT!!! It tucks right under my bra band, and I don't even know it's there. LOVE it!!

Back extensions (yoga sphinx position/seal position). Don't cross your legs when you sit. Sitting is bad, if you must sit, try an exercise ball; it puts you into better posture, and is great for core stability.

It tastes like.....burning!
