  • I am a late eater/exerciser too! From what I have researched, the reason most sites/articles recommend that you don't eat two hours before bed is that it is most typical for late eaters to binge at the end of the day because they are starving by the time that late hour rolls around. If this is your normal schedule, and you…
  • Awesome, sounds like I have lots of options to try now.
  • After attempting a rescue, the Ipod is no longer. May it RIP. Thanks for all the suggestions!
  • I might have to try these....tired of oatmeal and cereal and I love chocolate!
  • Crud, my fiance already tried to turn it on. I will try and use some of thse other tricks and see if I can rescue it. Thanks for the pointers!
  • I have learned a couple great things from this post: 1. For my friend that is fishing for compliments, I need to tell her it is hurtful to me as I struggle on my journey. 2. While my weight loss struggle may be a bigger project than others, it does not make theirs less significant. 3. And while my struggle may be…
  • So far I have hit my veggie goal every day but 1....it was my free day, but I think even for free days I should probably balance the bad with the veggies! I hit my crunch goal every day. Today was grocery shopping day and I found individual veggie freezer packs. These will be great for taking to work and increasing my…

  • So true, I know for most the gals who say it, they truly think it, it just is hurtful to hear.
  • I have learned first on, last off. So where you gain extra weight the most quickly, it lingers around the longest while you are losing. So great job on your 24 pounds, and remember the waist will catch up with the rest of you!
  • Do we want to start our weigh in today? And as some people may be a shy about actual weight, do we want to report our actual weights or just how much we lose each week?
  • Sounds like I have 50-100 crunches to do at the gym tonight. Flat abs, here I come! Veggies are my nemesis in planning a good diet so this should be an interesting turn around in my goal for a healthier life style. Any ideas for quick veggies on the go outside of eating tons of carrots?
  • I am in!!! I get married April 24th. My dress has to start alterations on March 1st so my goal is to lose 10 pounds by then. That is about a pound a week for the next 10 weeks! Plus I am going to Jamiaca for the honeymoon where I will have to wear a swimsuit all week next to my fiance, the marathon runner with 0 body fat!…
  • I started pole dancing classes about two months ago and I have killer arms and shoulders now compared to any other thing I have ever done. Now I just need my legs and waist to catch up!
  • On the taco salad note, they can be done healthy without the bad stuff like sourcream and taco shell, etc. I make it by making lean ground chicken breast (or turkey works too) seasoned with taco seasoning, throw in veggies I love like carrots, olives, corn, etc. because veggies are always good! Then I throw on some taco…
  • I'd like to join, but not with a weight loss goal, but as fitness goal challenge. I am recovering from a pretty serious tumor and went from 6 days a week of working out and a pretty good healthy diet to a tub of goo at the same weight. My goals are: -To return to 5-6 days of working out a week -To eliminating soda and…
  • I have a current medical condition that requires me to take a large dose of steroids for the next month or so. They have made my appetite out of control. Any suggestions on how to trick my body into thinking it is full or low calorie snacks that are really filling?
  • I just finished reading "The Secret". It was a big Oprah pick a few years ago. It is one of these life philosophy books. While some of it was a bit hokey, there are some really good mentality changing ideas in it from weight loss to health healing. I highly recommend it and it is a fast read.
  • Clothes aren't just baggy but so are your underwear. That is sexy!
  • Awesome, I will try the locator. We are a pretty health concious state so I can't imagine they wouldnt' have them.
  • I got very ill for about two months and lost 30 pounds. (Feeling better now so no worries). I guess I shouldn't complain because I am the skinniest I have ever been. Now I am in the position that I could work out and really get my body in the tone shape I wanted since I am starting with something so much smaller. The…
  • I keeping hearing how great Amy's Pizza toaster things are and yet I can never find them? Where do you all track them down? Does it have to be a specialty market like whole foods or something?
  • A friend of mine turns nutter butters into snowmen....not sure how, but I found this recipe online: http://www.cooking.com/Recipes-and-More/recipes/Snowmen-Cookies-recipe-6786.aspx.
  • So cute!!!!!! We have a lab/collie mix and that is exactly what he looked like when we got him. He is now a 50 pound destructo machine....but we love every minute with him!
  • So I have posted on here how I struggle with the scale enemy. The advice I got, throw that darn thing out and think of other great things like level of fitness, how I feel, etc. Well it worked! I was at the gym last weekend and as I was running on the treadmill. I saw what I thought were a great pair of legs in the row of…
  • According to one trainer I worked with...if you do cardio and you are a pear, you will just be a smaller pear. If you do strength training, you can actually alter how you are shaped. So the answer is both.
  • Try to eat 5 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones too if you aren't already. Keeps the metabolism burning more stably.
  • Thanks guys!!!! I needed the reality check!
  • I beat myself up for that kind of stuff too. Just have to shake it off and start a new day. Know what else is good for a BM....lots of water and some tea! Non-sugared of course!
