Philly Burbs, Bucks County.

Being from the Philly area, Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes are my once in awhile dirty indulgence. them!

Taking the little one out for a stroller ride gives you both some fresh air and fun time. Plus the cutie will most likely steal any onlookers attention. Walking was about all i could do at first with my weight. I was self concious too until I changed the way I thought. I had to remind myself that I was doing something…

I get the worst cravings for chocolate during my TOM. I have bought the 86% dark chocolate and grated just a bit of it over strawberries with some fat free whipped topping. It gives me just enough of that chocolate taste to keep me from bingeing.

So much great advice already given. I would just be re-itterating. I can tell you though, that 124 pounds ago, I felt the same way. When I changed the way I thought and decided not to worry about how fast or how much I had to lose, it seemed to go quickly. There were times ( like now) where I felt stalled, but then I would…

GREAT ADVICE!!

I agree with other posters who say a pancake isn't such a bad breakfast. You can top the pancake ith fresh fruits to bulk it up, add more nutrients and feel more satisfied. I had a craving for french toast this morning, so made it using whole wheat bread and egg substitute. Its all about finding a balance in eating better…

I have done both and I feel whatever works for you is best.I lose with both systems but I know that when I am counting points, I tend to eat more fruits and vegetables because they are zero. When I count calories, I tend to not eat as many. The points just guide you toward healthier choices.

Absolutely. After I lost baout 40 pounds I noticed I no longer had acid reflux and heartburn.
-
You both look great! Always nice to have your spouse on the journey along side you.
-
You could pre cook and have it waiting as others have said, pack your own in a lunch cooler or just pack some fresh fruit and sliced up veggies for the commute home.

I eat yellow bell peppers with spanish olives. Sounds strange, but I love the combination of flavors.

PF is great. I believe that because they are a franchise, different gyms have different offers and rules. Mine is no contract, no cancel fee.

I have nothing but a positive experience with WW. The meeting really helped me learn the basics and stick with it when things were slow. If you use WW as a lifestyle change and not a "diet", it works. Yes you can "eat whatever you want" but the program steers you toward making healther choices and portion control that…

I personally feel it is much harder to stick to a lifestyle change if you deprive yourself of the things you enjoy most. Eating them less/ in moderation works best for me. I still keep my home a safe place by not bringing in the things I know I tend to over eat, instead I buy treats in small doses when desired.

I plan to have a little of everything but fill up on the veggetables insead of stuffing and pie. Moderation. I also asked the person cooking if they could reserve a bit of veggetables before adding butter to the rest of them. It helps that my family is pretty supportive of my weight loss goals.

I encourage all my family members to use MFP. Its a great tool and would love them to join me in getting to a healthier place.

Don't stress over it, plan to stay on track. Thanksgiving is very managable, you already have the skills. Portions, and healthier choices will be the key to enjoying it without feeling like you are givig anything up. If you are preparing the food or bringing something to share, there are many heathier alternative recipies…

No disrespect, but.. Ha ha ha ha ha.

Wow! Great job.

Absolutely Amazing! Congratulations!

I have Hashimoto's which causes hypothyroidism. I am on a low dose of Thyroidsine, a hormone replacement. It works to relieve the lethargy, swollen thyroid and a few other symtoms but is definitely not a magic weight loss cure. Like you, my diet was also to blame.
-
I agree. I do credit the program for helping me get started. Now that I have the right tools, I really don't need it. I like MFP because I can see my exact calories and nutrients but WW is a great program for anyone who needs help getting started.
-
Your progress is inspiring. It convinces me that I can get really do this. You look great!
-
Right there with you. Always thought my face held up well despite my weight, until I lost the weight. :ohwell:

Anyone replying can feel free to add me too. I'm still fairly new, lost 83, need to lose another 100. Open diary.

I love the Hungry Girl "Holy Moly Cannoli" recipie. http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=868567 Sugar free/fat free pudding or 85% dark chocolate grated over fresh strawberries when I am craving something rich and sweet. Another good recipie: Mock Apple Pie, made in the microwave. Quick, easy and less…

My good friend was getting married in Puerto Rico and had asked my husband to be the Best Man. We had to go but I considered just having him go and staying behind because I was having so much anxiety about possibly being "too fat to fly". Once I got started with eating well and exercising, I did not want to stop.

Beautiful Job!
