I don't go to Starbucks often, but every time I do, I order a grande coffee. Every single time I say, "That's a grande?! When did they get so big?!" And then I swear to remember to order a tall the next time... of course I always forget. That's half a cup of coffee wasted every time. Doh! I can relate to those saying that…

What do you mean by "cheap recipes"? Just by a couple of chicken breasts, put olive oil, salt and pepper on them, put them on a sheet pan and roast them in the oven the night before. Add some veggies like carrots, onion, brussel sprouts and red potatoes to another baking sheet in the same oven (with the same seasoning) and…

Same. Except I don't have to strip and I do pee first. Lol.

I just copied and pasted the links to see them and I can totally tell the difference! You're much slimmer in the 160 lbs pictures! Way to go! Keep it up! :D

I'll try to drink a pure protein shake either 1 hour before or directly after my runs. I find that they make me feel better even though it's mostly protein and not heavy on the carbs. I swear my best runs were about 30 minutes after I ate a big piece of cake. (I didn't plan it, I just suddenly felt the urge to go running.…

You can change your goal to "maintain your current weight". That's what I did. If you have the app on the Android phone, you have a weekly graph you can look at that tells you if you're over or under for the whole week. I find that more helpful in maintenance so that you can make sure you are averaging out over time. Good…

I'll just say it again: Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog <--- it's Joss Whedon. It's only 42 minutes. Watch it asap. Also, Amelie changed my life. Delicatessen was amazing. Thank You For Smoking was a good movie. Little Shop of Horrors The Jacket with Adrien Brody and Kiera Knightley <-- i have no idea how to spell her name.

YES.

Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog Joss Whedon. Check it out for reals. Also, Four Rooms and Secondhand Lions are both amazing movies!

I have to talk to myself while I run. I couldn't run more than about 2.25 miles straight without stopping and my goal was to run a 5k. So, going into the race I had never run 3.1 miles straight outside (I had done it once on the treadmill), and I just kept saying to myself, "Just keep running, just keep running" (Think…

2500 calories is more than I eat in a day! You need to eat most of those back I'd think. If you feel hungry and you're working hard, then it's just regular hunger. Your body needs fuel. I don't know exactly why you're craving bread, but meat makes sense. Protein helps build and repair muscle and gives you energy. Bread…

Lol. I'm laughing at her, not you. A lot of people need to think before they speak.

I wouldn't panic. Maybe you're just going through some stressful things (like you said, exams and such). If it was me, I would change my goal setting to either "lose 1/2 lb a week" or "Maintain weight" for a week or two until the stressful times are over. That way, even if you're not losing as fast or at all, you're not…

I understand exactly what you're saying. I used to worry so much about what i was going to eat that I would end up not eating anything or eating something very small and not very healthy. Believe me, you will get past it if you stay prepared. Try packing your lunches and planning your meals a day in advance for a week.…

Have a great time! I went into my first 5k without running the whole distance outside all at once. The race pushed me to finish without stopping and I managed it under 35 minutes. Now, I just get to work on getting faster and running farther. Good luck! You'll be great!

Hey! Don't feel like you're not losing fast enough. This is not a race. I'm going to tell you that I wish I had lost my weight as quickly as others on this site. I started trying to lose weight in January of 2009. It took me 2 years to lose 60 lbs. My wedding in April 2011 was the final push to get me to lose the last 15…

I concur! We need some sort of MFP Anonymous Forum so we can all get together and talk about it...

When I started exercising, I didn't see any change in the scale and I barely saw any change in my body. I definitely gained muscle before I dropped the fat. I'll tell you that what really turned it around for me was using a personal trainer at my gym. It was a little costly, but I only really saw her for about 3-4 months…

I can honestly say that there is no food that I no longer like. I definitely don't crave the same foods or any foods at all most of the time (except pizza. I can ALWAYS eat pizza. Lol). But when I'm coming home from work and I'm walking by a pizza shop, a bakery AND a peruvian chicken place, I almost always can…

Sounds like outback. They have the pumpernickel with the butter and it's always warm and heavenly.

^^ not helpful. Lol

You can't gain weight if you stay under your maintenance calories. That is how I check myself sometimes. I'll set my goal to maintain and then I'll scroll back through the weeks and see. On the days that I went over my "lose 1/2 lb" goal, I might not have gone over my "maintain" goal. If I didn't, I know I won't gain. I…

Hope I can help! I live in DC!

Yeah. It's pretty brutal. I get a lot of cheeseburger and pizza ads. I try not to look at them. Lol
-
O goodness! That is a pickle! Don't worry. Calm down. I ran my first 5k back in May and I had not been able to run even close to the full distance outside before the day of the race. I wouldn't work out today. Usually you want to rest the day before a race. Since you do elliptical, and that's somewhat low impact, you could…

Do you like eggs? I love a simple breakfast of 2 eggs over easy and a couple slices of toast lightly buttered. Add some coffee and I'm good to go. Also, I agree with the above. Don't eat breakfast food if you don't like breakfast food. Try some wheat crackers and tuna salad or something like that. Good luck! I love…

I looked at your diary. Please be sure to eat at least 1200 calories AFTER exercise. We want you happy AND healthy!

I'm not a big fan of muscles or blondes, and I think he's delicious. :)

Yes to David Sedaris! Great for reading on the bus because chuckling out loud every 5 minutes weirds people out. lol. Kurt Vonnegut (Cat's Cradle especially) Stephen King's The Dome - It's big, but it's totally worth it. The Help was pretty good. The Time Traveller's Wife by Niffeneger was good The Inkheart series is…
