  • i am still here once in a while :)
  • I can't drink milk AT ALL, yogurt is still ok, but it has to be the plain with no additives. I can still eat the more aged cheeses and can use a bit of cream in cooking. Sugar is bad, HFCS is awful. Can't eat a plain green salad without some sort of protein in it either. Have to eat something with my hard boiled eggs…
  • I am not on here much anymore, just troll the forums about once a week. I do check my FL Feed a couple of times a week. Just kind of depends on the mental state? :flowerforyou:
  • Well this group is still active, and nice to see...I am not on here much anymore, just pop in to check in on everyone. I am a bit older than you ladies in this discussion, but I lost my weight by following the plan and not restricting...restricting only led to more weight gain (I know, WTF?)...but I think it takes some of…
  • I can't do any kind of fasting/cleanse/fruit only ~ whatever...just can't do it. Brings out ED and unhealthy (for me) thoughts about food and my relationship with it. Glad your learned that it just doesn't work for some of us? :flowerforyou:
  • Oh I hear you! I can't do cardio at ALL because I can't stop. I do yoga and some body weight exercises. That is all I can do without going overboard. It is hard to not overeat some days and then restrict the next few. When I was logging my food, I went with weekly averages for calories because it took some of the 'edge'…
  • good vibes and blessings to you and yours...
  • I just did a Mexi night for friends (might not be authentic, low fat/low calories, but it was great) Mexi shredded pork (roasted with onions, tomitillo's, tomatoes, cumin, cilantro, oregano-like a salsa verde) for tacos jicima and cucumber pico guacamole with tomatoes, onions, lime juice, cilantro spanish rice (with extra…
  • eh, 43 here...have fibromyalgia too, makes it tough some days to work out, but I do enjoy my hatha yoga. In the US. Actually not here to lose weight, but clean up the diet and such. I log in pretty much daily. :flowerforyou:
  • Blessings, and welcome aboard! :flowerforyou:
  • blessings...and I think we are about the same age, and welcome aboard. Hope to see you around!
  • I only do hatha yoga but I find that it helps me ALOT with flexibility and the mindfulness. The guys at work notice (with my mood) if I don't get my daily yoga in. And as I have gotten older, it helps keeps me limber :blushing: And I like tree, one of the more restful/mind balancing poses for me (I am not up to…
  • pizza can be healthy too...I use the Toufayan pita bread (white ones, 150 cals each) spray both sides with Pam (I use olive oil in the mister) bake for a couple of minutes each side to get crunchy, top with a homemade pesto (or just olive oil and basil leaves} toss some chopped garlic on and thin sliced roma tomatoes, top…
  • I have been mixing it up as I feel, depends on the mood for the day. Not sure if that is correct or not, but it's what I am doing. :glasses:
  • try it in the crock pot, seriously...put it on a rack (whole chicken) or on veggies or whatnot (just keep it off the bottom of the pot) throw it in for 8 hours (I normally throw mine in the morning and don't' get home until about 10 hours later) put on low, and then shred whatnot. peel the skin off an portion out to what…
  • eh, since I live in the city, I don't get to do the bonfire much, but a bunch of special hand picked candles (turn off all the lights/electricity from sundown to sunup), offerings, and such with good close friends does the trick too? (after private mediation) and I say a blessing over each candle as I light them (I collect…
  • regular house cleaning, I don't log it, regular food prep, I also don't log it. Now if I am having a party and steam and wax all the hardwood floors, move all the furniture, wash all the drapes and curtains (3 flights of stairs to the basement) lug the 7+ loads all back up and hang them all back up, de-fur the entire…
  • well I think a bit too early myself to start thinking about it, but I cook the epic family/fiends all day-all you can stuff into yourself buffet for thanksgiving, with lots of bacon fat and cheese. I limit my portions, as I want a bite of EVERTHING! but since I normally cook and prep for 2 days (along with the deep house…
  • you all are awesome! and lovelylela...my daughter has long ago moved out and has blessed me with grandkids...still single...not worried about it either :) so yeah, when they call me Grandma, I tend to turn around looking for my mother? WTH??? I finally have time for ME, and I am darn well going to do what I want...and…
  • um...I just want to go get on my toga and do an animal house scene? (sorry if it is just me?) :smokin: eh, I'm not here to actually lose weight, but I support those that do. (and I have lost some, not intentionally) ..just trying to overcome some medical issues (due to irregular eating and eating BS crap) due to the…
  • I agree with Waldo and graelywn...and you know I adore you my dear...but throw the darn scale away! (as I have been telling for forever)..either trust in your team, and your god, or forever more feed ED? You are the only one that can make this choice for you, and not to be harsh either....but either embrace recovery ( and…
  • well ED**** and Time*** , welcome aboard. stay strong, stay healthy...and they do say we can actually recover one day...I thought I was ok for 20 years, and then NOT...but I had a great 20 years without listening (not even an ED whisper)...but life happens and unfortunately it seems to be some sort of subconscious coping…
  • well here is the deal were I live at, I buy all my grandchildren their school supplies...and we kick in a little extra for those students "struggling financially' but I get really pissed off when I go to the PTA meetings and am I the only one driving a ford instead of a state welfare sponsored bmw and yet they complain I…
  • ah...I get it! Count me in :)
  • me too...I can't do a full 60 minutes due to some medical crap, but I will strive to do at least 15 minutes per day? but the challenge sounds great!
  • I understand...but I am a bit older and now see the destruction I have put my body through over the years. Now I go on healthy... and yeah, I was underweight for so many years...then got my head (kind of) screwed on straight, gained some over 20 years, went to lose some, and wound back in the depths of ED...but I…
  • eh... Military Brat Aunt OD on heroin parents divorce parents marriage to others development of EDNOS step mom cancer (she beat that crap too!) teen mother bunch of junk drug induced abusive relationships in between finally got my crap straight death of a grandchild (she was 7) new birth of a special needs grandchild…
  • I do a bit of both (I log them all as yoga since the burn is about the same for me) and think they are equally important for back strength. Pilates helps with the core more, (at least the stuff I do) which in turn helps support and strengthen the back. I also do Hatha Yoga (more of a stress relief stretching yoga than a…
