sounds like you need one of those sidecar co-sleepers that attach to the side of your bed! i would rather have the baby in it's own room, but with the latest research showing a reduced risk of SIDS for babies who can at least hear mama breathing, i will be 'co-sleeping', too!

I'm planning a HB/water birth also. I feel like I have some things going against me, though. 'Advanced maternal age', overweight & first time mom. My midwife isn't concerned, though. I sure hope we all get what we are hoping for!

i have the fitbitONE and love it. the sleep tracker has been especially helpful for me since i have trouble going to bed early enough to get a proper night's sleep. i can see where it might not be enough for an athlete, but for me, just trying to increase my daily movement and overall calorie burn, it has been invaluable.

i have the same problem sometimes, but i find with enough cooking time in the crock pot they turn out. seems like i have to soak for at least 24 hours. make sure you drain the water a couple times to get rid of some of the (lactic??) acid. supplements & herbs? it's possible that a deficiency of some kinds could be contributing to sleep problems & low metabolism. there are a bunch of herbs to help with metabolism and sleep.

Ha, ha. Yes, obviously I'm being a bit tongue-in-cheek. I think I could learn some things from some of the more 'crunchy' people so I have to find a way to find them! I'm crunchy on the inside but frumpy on the outside, Ha! Hopefully not for much longer.

Ugh. Do I need to say more? Well, in the spirit of full-disclosure, let me just say I'm failing. It's been an emotional and sleep-deprived few days (like, I'm missing a whole nights worth of sleep, at least). Cutting myself a little slack but NOT giving up.
