This other website I go to just uses the word "Charles" to say what you are saying. (ie: the author of Tale of Two Cities, Oliver Twist, Christmas Carol etc) To the OP - that is one epic chat meal!! All I can say is learn from this - obviously this is some kind of trigger food for over indulgence. Next time this comes up…

Work two of your deadly sins against each other - gluttony and laziness. I brush my teeth after my final meal of the day. I am too lazy to go and brush my teeth again so that prevents me eating more. Now if I could just do something about the other 5 deadly sins...

Are you wearing the same clothes each time whist jogging? If so, maybe you have an allergy to lycra or whatever you are wearing. Also try a second rinse on your workout clothes - get the soap out.

As an ex smoker I have observed that when I was a smoker but for whatever reason couldn't have one (like at the airport or something) then the cravings were way, way worse than after I quit and then wanted one randomly (but obviously couldn't have one because I'd quit) - not sure if that makes sense. Congrats on your…

I have a protein drink right after working out (usually it's a mid morning workout). For two reasons: 1.) I'm starving when I finish at the gym and my protein drinks are super tasty (and pretty much the only sweet thing I ever eat) 2.) Helps with facing the mighty temptation of hitting a fast food joint on the way back to…

I want a pound of strawberries....right now. Mmmmm

Almond butter instead of peanut butter pita bread or english muffins instead of regular bread 1% or skim milk instead of 2% lose the "kix" -that stuff won't do anything for you.

Answer: pilates another answer, you look fine.

I prefer free weights myself. But that is how I learned so it is what I'm used to. Less lineups and hassle at the gym for free weights - I can get through my routine much faster and with more focus. Check your form though - the mirrors not just for checking out your guns lol No weights is good too - pushups, tricep…

Those are bada$$ bikes! I want one!

I didn't read all the posts so maybe this has been covered already. Here's what I did. Buy 4mg nicotine gum, chew the daylights out of it. In a week or so, switch to the 2 mg gum. The patch didn't do much for me, nor did ecig or whatever it is. The gum worked totally. I chewed it for about 3 months, gradually less and less…

I"m the only guy in my yoga class too. I just make sure I keep my eyes to myself (you know what I mean) and act totally normal (whatever that is). Yoga is pretty inclusive so....first day I did feel weird though, but it got better. edit: I'm also straight (not that there's anything wrong with that)

yep - iTunes is a super motivator!

diet soda = too many chemicals for me - it just doesn't taste "right" somehow. My rare soda pop has cane sugar in it (not corn syrup) and I treat it like a dessert item.

That's great - good for you. 5 K is super (especially after a 12 hour day - yikes)

Eating too fast - not savouring the moment. A habit I'm still working on fixing today.

I had a butter tart* today - totally deserved it, well within my caloric intake. I'm not going to lie - it was freakin' awesome. Nice big cup of coffee and this butter tart. I got it from this bakery run by Mennonites, I haven't been in there for months. God it was good. I think I might make it my cold winter Monday…

I like it when they ask "how did you do it?" and they are amazed at the simple answer of "watch what you eat, and exercise more"

I work full time, and school part time. I read/study on the treadmill, exercise on my lunch hour at work or early morning, study during breaks, carry my study notes everywhere and snatch time here and there. I do what I have to do. I believe that diet will only take you so far, you have to exercise as well...even if it is…

I am....McLovin.

Give it a couple more weeks and you'll see the crowds thin out. It's the same thing at my gym.

Rejection is part of a single man's life. Join the club. Even the best looking men get rejected all the time. Sometimes the girl is not rejecting YOU, they are rejection the situation. Don't take it personally, and don't be bitter. This just part of life. Go where the girls are, cast a wide net, be friendly, be…

One day at a time Larry, and the best of luck to you. I think you are going to be ok in the end - you've taken the first big step now.

Shirt off at the beach, without hesitation. Heck, just walk around without a shirt all the time how about. *almost there...almost oh, and I want to be able to really, really run.

Whenever I see a "big" person at a gym, male or female, (and there are plenty) I always have major respect for them, since I know how hard that can be. Without a doubt they are the bravest in the place. If I see them there often, then I know they are the strongest, toughest most focused, most dedicated person in the place.…

It's always harder at the beginning. Once you get "the ball rolling" and gets some days/weeks under you belt and start to see results, it gets easier. After a while you don't want to give up because you've already invested a bunch of effort. Logging before you eat like the above poster suggested works well too.

Some girl in my Body Pump class was wearing a tube top and her boob popped out during "clean and press'. That was pretty funny. She screamed too, so of course everyone looked. I'm the only guy in class....

Squats, lunges, repeat. jumping jacks, jumping rope, dancing.

I use the hemp protein, it doesn't really mix very well and it tastes like earth but I think it's healthier. I"ve a very busy schedule and I find it fills me up and keeps me going.
