  • You could just view the loading and unloading of the bar as bonus exercise.
  • Every once in a while I would think about the death box and go back to that thread for a laugh. I miss it. I now have to make do with the Flu Shot thread. May it never die!
  • I think I use my death box on average once a day. This weekend I made popcorn. It was very good. I have tripped the breaker in my kitchen multiple times when I forget that I am cooking in my Instant Death Pot and pop something in the death box at the same time. My poor kitchen circuit can't handle so much danger at once.
  • Okay, so you are being sarcastic, but after trying a sample of cauliflower pizza at Trader Joes this week, I believe there must be some amazingly successful propaganda arm of Big Cauliflower convincing people that cauliflower doesn't taste like *kitten* and that it makes a good substitute for pizza dough or rice.
  • I've had my fitbit for a year now. In the past 365 days I have averaged 10,099 steps a day.
  • I'm trying to average 13,000 per day with a minimum of 10,000. I slowed down there at the end, but made my goal June 1 - 12,749 June 2 - 17,227 June 3 - 11,503 June 4 - 13,427 June 5 - 15,790 June 6 - 13,339 June 7 - 13,604 June 8 - 13,429 June 9 - 16,803 June 10 - 14,383 June 11 - 17,739 June 12 - 13,069 June 13 - 13,598…
  • You have every right to be informed. Any company that wants to can label their products GMO free and you can buy solely those products.
  • Hey, just because you don't follow my irrational superstition doesn't make it invalid nor invalidate the very important need for labels.
  • I Agree! Food labeling for all irrational superstitions should be mandatory. In fact, there is a case to be made that all food that was touched in any way by a woman while she is biblical unclean is unfit for consumption by men. Records must be kept and labels must be legislated! Please don't tell me that you are afraid of…

  • Exactly 6 weeks until the Sonoma County Fair. We lag far behind the MN fair in fried food because of all the hippie dippy health nut farm to table people here, but there is still a good selection. Of course, while the fair may lack in fried food we do have an abundance of very ugly dogs.
  • I'm a black coffee guy so I don't care for most coffee flavored treats, but I'm a big fan of these. I think they are the perfect size for the calories. Although if I have twice the calories to spend on a dessert, I'll go for an Its-It instead.

  • I'm now using the third extra hole I punched in my belt and I have to hitch it up to the fourth extra hole when doing my daily walk around the vineyards. I started out with my stomach hanging over the belt using the very first hole. That means I've removed at least a 2.5 inch right circular hollow cylinder from around my…

  • I've finally reached the point where I am fit enough to do some of the activities I've been putting off. Today I went to my first tennis lesson. It was a lot of fun and pretty active. I'm really looking forward to the next one.
  • One day early for success on my mini goal. I now weigh 1.8 pounds less than the weight I lied about on my drivers license a couple of years ago. I'm not sure how many pounds I've lost in total since I only started weighing myself recently, but I'm guessing around 70 pounds from my all time high and 19 less than the last…
  • I ate what the kids on youtube are calling Nuclear Ramen. It was really tasty, but I had to have a couple of Trader Joes raspberry and cream ice cream bars to cool off after.
  • I think this will finally make me remember to buy some Gardein next time I am at the store.

  • 1.8 more pounds and I'll reach the weight I lied about on my drivers license back in October 2015. I'm pretty sure the DMV worker looked at me a little skeptically when turning in my application. My mini goal is to reach that by the end of the week.
  • Reading through these comments reminds me of my all time favorite that I don't think they make any more. Tillamook Grandma's Cake Batter ice cream was so good. If they do make it they don't sell it at my local stores.
  • Spumoni is the best, but can be hard to find where I am. Next I will settle for pistachio, then extreme moose tracks, mint moose tracks, cookie dough, heath bar crunch. Then the rest.
  • For me the best part of watermelon is that it tastes best on very hot days when I am thirsty. So I love to spend an hour outside exercising when it is in the 30s, come in and eat a kg of watermelon for only 300 calories without drinking anything. Sooo good. I have two watermelons chilling in my fridge that I got at Trader…
  • Well, that brings back memories of actively avoiding looking at the calorie count of the box of something or other that I knew was bad for me and way too many calories. Now I understand why it doesn't reduce sales according to the studies I have seen.
  • There is the MFP challenge from subway at the moment. I think it is app only. Grand prize is $500 subway card, $100 under armor card, UA health box, UA wireless headphones. I wouldn't mind winning that, although $500 at subway would last me forever.
  • That movie was the first time I was rooting for the kid to die a horrible death.

  • I completed my mini goal of 100 floors on the stair climber. It was a bit more difficult than I had expected and if I had not posted it as a mini goal I might have given up after 75 floors. So to extend this mini goal, I want to do 100 floors 3 more times in the next 5 days. After that I'll see about higher numbers.
  • I tried out the stair climber for the first time the other day. I just wanted to see what it was like (it always intimidated me a bit) and I had just finished a heavy upper body workout so I only did 25 floors, but really enjoyed the workout. Second time I tried it I had done 100 squats, so I was a little tired. I…
