  • saving this! sounds easy and yummy! :)
  • You are so gorgeous & I'm so glad you're my friend here and continously almost more in real life. :) You are so awesome and apparently since I didn't realize you did all this in only a year...I'm even more impressed now! I <3 you!!
  • Mine has seen me through a lot of things, so I hardly consider working out in front of him to be something to be nervous or embarrassed about. Sometimes I get bad coughing fits where I'm red in the face, teary-eyed, and can't breathe--he always hands me my water bottle...pretty similar to working out, right? He's about to…
  • I know what you mean. :) When I struggle standing up and then start walking I keep saying "yeah! push through that pain! muscle burn woooo!!" hahaha
  • I just did Level 1 Day 2. Holy moly. I did Day 1 yesterday because I don't want to do breaks (I will between levels). It's so hard to stand uppp!!! hahaha I generally like it though because it challenges me, but is still very manageable. I'm either crappy at crunches or really good, because my legs are killing, but my…
  • Me!! Grew up in Bloomsburg (so I know Wilkes-Barre and Shamokin Dam pretty well!) but currently live in Shippensburg, which is about 45 min south of Harrisburg. :)
  • Fantastic!! I'm starting it on Monday so you just have encouraged me even more! :) I will definitely have to take pictures & measurements!
  • Find some friends to go out to lunch with and say you'll pay them back. ;) Lentils & dry beans, like everyone said too. Or try to find a farmer's market of some sort, they always have good cheap stuff that's healthy, like produce in bulk.
  • Think outside the box...just because it's "breakfast" time doesn't mean you have to eat traditional breakfast-like foods. I've had lentils for breakfast before! Tofu scrambles with lots of veggies are really good and not too bad calorie-wise, definitely fills you up more. Look at what would normally fill you up and figure…
  • I'm pretty iffy with some stuff, but it does depend on the realism. I still like veggie dogs, especially the Lightlife brand, but I try not to eat them too often because just like regular hot dogs, they're pretty processed. I recently tried the Lightlife ground beef/sauage stuff to make a meatloaf ...and whoa. WAY too much…
  • So from my experience, those tomato planters are crap. Granted, I only knew one family with one, but they were all green thumbs and their tomato planter thing died. A tomato plant can be fine in a big pot though! Strawberries grow well in a container! You can grow herbs in your kitchen on a window sill if you have one.…
  • That happens to me sometimes, but it's usually because I haven't eaten post-workout yet (I typically walk the dog, shower, and THEN make food after the gym). I get *super* cranky when I'm hungry, so maybe you just need some more workout recovery fuel! AKA...food.. :) I always feel the happy mood continue when I dive into a…
  • No, because it grosses me out too much now after 4 years and also I can't stand the idea of eating somebody who died just for that purpose...seems such a waste of life. I make sure I have a protein shake BEFORE the gym and then have a nice lunch after (I usually work out in the morning) and it keeps my protein up and from…
  • Marinate it and bread it panko crumbs, bake in oven. That's always yummy. Or, like above, replace eggs with it...I love tofu scrambles with a bunch of veggies! There are a lot of possibilities with tofu...it's a fun food because it's so versatile.
  • To achieve my highest "hot girl" potential. I know I'm pretty, want the body to match. ;) It's ok to be shallow sometimes! To feel healthier and better about myself in general. To have an easier time picking out cute clothes & wear a bikini for the first time. To know what it's like to really be in shape. I've never been…
  • Just make sure you have it planned out before you buy a lot of something. I always make sure I KNOW I'm going to use produce before it goes bad. I often have a terrible habit of buying something and then never using it, which then winds up being wasted money when I throw it out. I'm trying SO hard to not be like that…
  • Correct me if I'm wrong. Doesn't being superior at anything involve more than just diet? I think you're just frustrating yourself expecting an answer you know probably doesn't exist, if you have such expertise. A lot of people succeed immensely on a vegan diet. A lot of people succeed otherwise. ps-I'm vegan, but because…
  • Not only are you doing an absolutely awesome job, but you are so gorgeous!! :) Congrats!
  • Vegan. Anyone can feel free to add me! :)
  • Whether vegan or not, this is super fast & delicious & EASY fudge! :) I'm so happy I found this recipe!
  • I don't log the vitamins I take in the morning, B12, C, and D. I'm always over on C even without logging that...it'd be crazy if I did! And sometimes... I eat something right at midnight before bed and don't log it. :-x But it's always something small and what I'd have room for from the day.
  • I think you have to evaluate for yourself what works the best for you. My fiance and I have been together since March 2011 after working together for 1.5 years, which isn't terribly long (we moved in together that May and then got engaged Sept. 2011). We had our ups and downs and I had moments where I wondered if this was…
  • Do what my neighbor did to his icy driveway.... Blowtorch.
  • So you probably couldn't taste it individually, but how was the cauliflower aspect of the juice? I never thought of using that...figured it would juice weird. When I track juice, some of the things actually come up "raw carrot juice" etc. Just know how many oz of each you drank. Slightly more accurate I imagine.
  • As much as people get annoyed with certain aspects of them, PETA's website has a great "shopping list" page that gives you an idea of what to get. They have a lot of good information about turning vegan too, to make it easier.
  • I made some juices yesterday with a friend. We made up our recipes but the one is a classic: carrot, apple, ginger. Simple and delicious! We also did a spinach, cucumber, orange, and lemon, which was good, but we added WAY too much lemon so, pretty sour!! haha So definitely only do a LITTLE lemon. :) It's nice to add…
  • Like others said, it's definitely because the food is produced in the same factory as something else with dairy. It's not a "dairy-free" workplace, so they have to make that claim just in case some magically got in (from maybe not cleaning equipment enough) because if someone has a reaction then they can't be sued.…
  • I had felt like this briefly, very briefly, last summer before I joined MFP. I had gotten up to 10 min straight jogging. Then I kind of fell off the wagon for a bit and had to basically start over. And now, I'm doing even better than that and know I'm eating right too. It's all so exciting! I know you can do it, too. :)
  • I agree with the person above, veg does NOT mean healthy. Eating whole, plant-based foods makes you healthy, not eating a bunch of processed stuff that happens to be meat-free. I've been veg for 4 years (recently went vegan) and it was only when I started actually cutting back on processed/carbs that I saw any weight loss.…
