Metformin has very strong side effects. Even diabetics don't like to take Metformin, so I would definetly not take it if not required.

I cut all my hair off once I lost about 60lbs, because my face had gotten alot smaller and it was symbolic of me fully shedding my old image and embracing my new one. I loved it!

Size does not matter. As long as you adjust your bike height, seat positions and handlebars correctly you will do fine. You may have a sore rear end the first few times but it will get better. Get your SPIN ON! :)

Yes I've made some cool friends at the gym that I work out with regularly. Usually you make friends thru classes. Take some fitness classes and you will develop friendships because people see you have a common goal and interest.

Tapout XT is a barefoot mixed martial arts workout. I've done w/ shoes, but to do it barefoot, you need the right kind of shock absorbing floor mats or you will tear up your feet. Also Piloxing is another that is done barefoot.

I think Planet Fitness is a great gym for those who are beginning a fitness regimen. It is not a gym for those who are seriously weight-lifting as it is not designed for that. Push ups, squats, wall-sits, burpees, planks, etc. All of these are great bodyweight exercises, also you can Google "body weight exercises" and find a whole range of moves that don't require equipment.
