I think this hit the nail on the head. Maybe you are not on government assistance and what he said was wrong, but I think the above posters are on the track of what he was thinking. I know I get very frustrated when I see someone paying at a store with assistance cards when they have four or five kids.

My personal belief is that the concept of fruit sugar being ok is not valid. Sugar is sugar. While yes, it may be "less bad" than added processed sugar, it still registers in your body.

I do the same thing. What really irritates me is when there are five or six in a row open, and someone gets on the one right next to mine. I really like my personal space and see no need for you to get that close.

Actually, yes, you CAN give up drinking. You are choosing not to. Just because you are in a bar, it does not mean you have to drink. As all of the previous responses have said, no, you can not just do whatever you want on the weekends. Yes it is really bad.

Cardio Max is one of my favorite workouts. I totally get what you are saying about the soreness though. I have found that if I push through the soreness it gets better. If I "wait it out", I get just as sore the next time I do the workout.

I have two friends who did it. The both dropped weight quickly on it. They both gained back everything they loss plus some just as quickly.

I can only speak for myself, but if I was her, you would lose a friend. I think you sound as if you are being very pushy and meddlesome. She will come to you if she wants your help. If not, you need to butt out. Her doctor is paid for a reason.

I would say yes you are taking it too literally. The body is not a robot. In theory, 3500 calorie deficit would equal one pound loss. Whether you eat or them or not is a debate I won't weigh in on, but I had to respond to this. Why bother to work out? The point of working out is not just losing weight. Working out is for being healthy.

You are correct that losing muscle is extremely unhealthy. Just a thought, the line "I am not hungry" is a very common one used by anorexics. Have you talked to a nutritionist about the fuel you are giving your body?

Just my opinion, but I strongly disagree with this. I would follow your doctor's advice. After all, that is why we pay them. *smile* Good luck with the low carb thing. I am trying to keep my carbs low as a side effect of PCOS is insulin resistant. I never really just how much sugar is found everywhere.
