  • My darling boyfriend wrapped his arms around me, under my over sized cuddly jacket and gasped! He asked me where I had gone  I also noticed that walking up 8 flights of stairs (4 floors) chatting to my colleague, I wasn't out of breath in the slightest!
  • You've hit the nail right on the head there. :flowerforyou: Routine. ..Is key to getting back in touch with your body's natural rhythm (circadian).
  • Oh my goodness, that's a massive difference!!! I know how easy it is to lose that perspective when you see yourself every day.. BUT WOO!!! GO YOU!!! :drinker:
  • http://www.getselfhelp.co.uk/sleep.htm Really helped me understand what was going on.. My sleep has significantly improved, not perfect, but better. ETA: Echoes a LOT of what Runningforthetrain has said.
  • I think I only just realised how to get the butt burn in squats. You've got to squeeze those glutes and use them to power you up, weight on your heels. I too was only getting achey thighs etc, when I didn't really engage my glutes, and was bending too far forward.

  • I find it helpful to ask myself: Where will I be in 6 months - 5 years time if I keep eating/doing as I am now? Is that ok with me? Why do I want to lose weight/get fit in the first place? Finding out what I value, is key to me. Looking at thin females in magazines etc, doesn't keep me motivated for long because I don't…
  • Had mine in for two years.. Nothing of significance to report about my weight.. I didn't notice it being any harder to maintain or lose.
  • I've lost 40 pounds through just calorie control alone. I went from BMI 32 to 24.. But I am much happier with the way my body looks and feels since joining the gym (when I hit a normal BMI).. Fitter, firmer, happier!
  • Agreed. Lost a lot of my belly first, courtesy of my apple frame. I've lost 3 stone (42 pounds) in total and 1 inch off my hips.. Yes, just 1 inch.. But I'm glad because I have no hips  I do look a lot more even now though, as you can imagine..
  • DAYYYUUMMM.. That picture in the middle. 56kg to 62.5kg If that's not a reason to weight train.. Oh. My. Goodness. Saved and made my phone wall paper.

  • OMG OMG Op. I beg of you please look up the difference between 'exorcising' and 'exercising' I can't take it anymore :'( And, I kind of get what you're asking, like, you're looking at it from nutrition point of view rather than calorie intake. I can't be much help, but I understand that you need to be netting a certain…
  • 0.25lb!! Per week.. As I seem to be losing a pound a month lol. Not too fussed about it, I'm 10-15 lbs away from my goal, enjoying good food, exercising and how great it feels :D Oh and I've stopped basing my day on the scales, I'm losing inches!! And getting fitter! So who cares or even knows the number on my scale other…
  • Thank you all, I think this is spot on! I don't attend regularly, they're high intensity and I sure am low on stamina. Last night, I finally managed a full class without feeling dizzy or faint (it was actually quite empowering!!!) as I had played around with the timing of my meals as you said, while still hitting 800…
  • ... Still awaiting OP's leg photo?
  • That's amazing progress!!! You can really see some definition appearing in your back! :flowerforyou: Also, you have amazing skin! and I'm loving the fact that your hair gets neater each time
  • 5'6" 156lb Bottom: UK 10 Top: UK 10/12 (joys of boobs) Looking at some of the other similar heights/weights, I'd like to think that this confirms my muscle mass' existence!!
  • Lion King: Mufasa!!! :'( has made me cry every single time I've watched it since I was 6 Up: First 8 minutes :'(
  • I lost 20kg. First ten was without tracking.. Second ten was using MFP to track. I've been maintaining for over 2 years now by 'tracking' only my weight on the scales. Basic biofeedback, weight goes up, eat a bit less. That's all. I've recently started trying to lose more weight and am finding that being so close to my…
