I think the Fitbit Charge HR may be a better fit. It tells you calories burned throughout the day or throughout a workout. Do you own a Samsung phone? If not then I would say definitely do not go with the Gear Fit.

I just purchased a set of Valor Fitness BD-8 squat stands and an adjustable bench. Saves a ton of space compared to a rack and is functional for the bench press as well. I purchased them both on amazon for about $300.

Push the little one around in a stroller!!! Don't have to run with it but walk at a faster pace. Anything that mimics running movement will help.

I use it in conjunction with weight training and running. What type of HIIT are you looking at? You can do HIIT with running i.e. sprint intervals, you can use weights i.e. light weights high reps fast paced, or you can do some type of cross training i.e. jump rope intervals split between functional movement exercises like…

Everyone eats breakfast it's just a matter of when!! The term itself means to break the fasting period that occurred while you slept. So some folks wait until dinner to have their "breakfast". Do what works for you, if you can get by without anything first thing in the morning go for it, if you find yourself mentally…

I use this with a note 3 and it works great. Had to get the large size though.

Two different goals may require two different approaches. You can still eat at a deficit just figure in your running calories and adjust accordingly. I have read quite a bit that it is tough to lose weight while actively training for a race and I have found this to be very true.

Nice work!! You got me beat on the mile, my best is 5:55. 3 miles I have at 19:25. Hoping to break the 20 minute mark in a 5k this year : )

Just wanted to add that I think to many people get to concerned over what concerns other people.

This. Also if I know I worked hard I use a baseball or softball a couple hours after my run to roll around on my hamstrings to help loosen them up.

Maybe you are just more confident and they react differently.:drinker:

Completely a personal decision. Listen to your body though and if it tells you to take a day off, by all means take a day off! The best exercise routine for losing weight is the one that you will stick with so find what you enjoy and stick with it!!

ETA: Only for runs less than 15 miles.

I try not to think about breathing while running else I notice it is more labored. There are many folks that recommend breathing through your nose but I cannot get enough air in and out so my mouth is always open. One other idea would be to slow down your running a bit, being fairly new you may be pushing the pace to much.

Of course if you lose skin it will go away.................:drinker:

Plenty of apps do a fair job of estimating calorie burn, just remember that they are all estimates, including HRMs, and it will take a little trial and error to get your calorie balance right. Just as a side note, you will get plenty of advice as to what form of exercise is the best for weight loss but it all boils down to…

43 minutes is a pretty good clip for a 10k. I agree with the others, take the first 5k easy and pick it up towards the end. I have found that practicing this strategy during training runs really helps me mentally. Good luck!!

Everyday? I would not be able to do that!!! As far as your cardio, if your goal is to be an endurance athlete, keep on. I would suggest at least a little resistance training to retain some lean mass,

Unless your allergic to it, eat the yolk. Also there is a ton of calcium in the shells!!
