Dunns River Falls and Ocho Rios are both on the northern coast of Jamaica and are beautiful places to visit. I forget the name but they have some zip lining and Jamaican style bobsledding up there as well that was fun. I went for the deep sea fishing and that was complete waste of time since the only thing I caught was a…

I have the aria scale and it works great for logging weight. I did have issues about 8 months into it with the batteries draining about 1x a week and I contacted Fitbit and they sent me a new one!!

I think I would rather be caught crossfitting then doing anything associated with Richard Simmons

Health food takes forever and is difficult to cook so you burn more calories while cooking it LOL:drinker:

I always do my runs during the week fasted, just don't get up early enough to eat. The weekends though I have noticed my workouts are a lot better if I eat something small an hour or 2 before hand. As far as losing weight, I think the only thing that really matters is calories in vs. calories out.

Yup, pretty soon all your compandres will be skating over there.....

I think you are on the correct path. Keep lifting, watch your diet, and I would drop the jogging and add some HIIT. Don't get me wrong my goals are all about running and getting faster but if your goal is to shred fat High Intensity will help more than steady state cardio.

My first 26.2 is going to be in October and I am hoping to finish it with the same pace I ran the half last year. Always looking for others with similar ambitions = )

I don't have any studies to back it up but I heard from my best friends sister's baby's daddy that their subs also contain Carbon!!! Can you believe that!?!? Imagine eating these things and all of the sudden your bodies global warming potential skyrockets!!! COUNT ME OUT!! :drinker:

Not everyone has the same maximum heart rate or ranges to work in. Agree with the above that your body will let you know if it is not good.

^^ All of this. My only comment would be to stay @ or less than TDEE-10% or you will lose to much lean mass, MHO only = )

No scientific research here but I find it easier to run outside than on a treadmill. Can run 7 miles in an hour outside without hardly any fatigue and feel like I could go forever but put me on a treadmill and I feel like I am going to die after 20 minutes. Probably all psychological : )

Just like your response...... If you like to run or do some type of steady state cardio I think they can very helpful in monitoring improvements in aerobic fitness. If you are using them to estimate calorie burns for weight training then you are grossly overestimating.

Is it not a weight loss competition? Come on people if you don't want to see people do these things to their OWN bodies don't watch!!!!
