  • I guess everyone has a preference. I've never been big, but I have had some guys some I'm too big and others say I'm not thick enough. I used to work with a group of guys, and they were just obsessed with making fun of fat people. There was this elevator that the larger people would use, and they thought it was funny to…
  • Sorry, I'm strictly ****ly!
  • I work in a male dominated field and don't see this very often. Many of the women in my field are cool. But there are some who do try to tear the competition down. I usually just get along with everyone, but one lady explained that part of the reason she didn't like another person was that they were both queen bees…
  • I think you look great! I think people can be rude when they comment about how other people look, especially if people don't do things their way! Thank you for the OP and the definition you provided. I have also enjoyed reading the other posts to see that other people interpret lifting heavy to mean different things. When…
  • I had to create the exercise by going to the Exercise tab and then the My Exercises section and create exercise. By the way, congrats on those little ones in the picture. They must be lots of work!
  • I wear mine under my boobs and under a sports bra. I've never had any issues with it.
  • The Bar Method's Dancer's Body workd the lower body.
  • I've never done barre3, but I do a lot of bar method, The Dailey Method, Physique 57 dvds. I really like them. Some of them try to have more cardio than others, but you do a lot of toning exercises in them. You use a ballet barre for part of the exercises, and you work your glutes and thighs generally on the barre. I burn…

  • I've lost an inch and a half in my waist doing bar exercises. Maybe doing some toning? I like Bar Method Change Your Body as a good beginner workout.
  • I weigh myself once a week -- usually Friday or Saturday morning. Measure yourself. I've lost inches.
  • I just bought it recently and am supposed to be doing a challenge. It is really fast paced and a little frenetic for me to do at night. It's super fun though. I find myself reaching for workouts that aren't as frenetic.
  • I have a polar h7 and have nothing else to compare it to. But, I think it is wonderful to know my burn for exercises. I honestly had no clue before!
  • I've been successful both ways. At the gym, I have had routines where I work different body parts each day and then do some cardio on a machine. That just does not work with my schedule, so I work out at home now. The types of workouts I like are barre and dance-style workouts. So, I rotate through a series of dvds. I love…
  • I love barre workouts. There are so many out there like Fluidity, Bar Method, The Dailey Method, Xtend, etc. They are low impact, and I burn between 200 and 300 calories for an hour workout that is also strengthening me. I have lost a couple of inches in my waist and my arms and legs are starting to become defined.
  • Feel free to add me. I try to stick to 1200 calories, but I find myself going over by a couple hundred. I do exercise most days, so it is almost a wash. I've lost 6 lbs in the last month and a half.
  • I use an HRM and do barre exercises. I'm 5'2" and 119 lbs. I burn between 200 and 300 calories for an hour -- depending on intensity. The Intermediate/Advanced/faster moving range are closer to 300 calories, and the Beginner/Intermediate -- more explanation and setup sessions are closer to 200 calories. If you want…
  • You could always do barre at home. Get a dvd like Change Your Body by Bar Method and just use a chair and some small weights. Works on your seat, thighs, abs, arms, etc.
  • I create my own exercises and then log the calories I burn. You go to Exercise, My Exercise, Create Exercise. I always put it under aerobic when I do something new. And, on the rare time I leave my phone at work, I just average out my burn based on prior experience. Buti looks like it is so much fun. Is it a good workout?
  • herbal lavender dreams tea.
  • I just have a thick yoga mat. They sell some that have the grippy side that you can place down. I think mine is a gaiam. Now, I haven't tried Buti yet, but it looks like it would be SO much fun. What I've heard of people doing in Hot Yoga classes where they use hardwood floors instead of carpet is the intructor has them…
  • I can do advanced workouts now. Bar Method Dancer's Body and Super Sculpting I and II burn about 300 cals. Surprisingly, Physique 57 Full workout is about 280 cals. I think I'm becoming more efficient.
  • Well, I haven't logged housecleaning so far, and I do understand that normal daily cleaning of dishes, a random load of laundry, etc. is included in daily activities. I can say that I work long hours during the week, and my housework gets stacked up. I have a big house, and I clean the whole thing by myself. When I do my…
  • I did it on average of 5 times a month for 8 months. You will develop strength in your legs and back. I gained a couple of pounds while doing it because I had an enormous appetitie. It didn't do anything for my abs and arms. But, the mental peace, clarity, and ability to take big deep breaths was the best benefit! I love…
  • I can speak for myself. I work at a desk/sedentary job. When I first started working out this time around, my motto was that 1 minute was better than no minutes and 10 minutes was better than no minutes and that if I strive for 11 minutes next time, that is good. I just keep increasing till it gets better. I started about…
  • I use a Polar HRM and digifit, which links to fitbit which links to MFP. I don't know that I fully understand it either. I work out and my data is sync'ed to Fitbit. Then, I log my exercise, and the Fitbit adjustments either adds or subtracts some calories. I don't know if it has some logic to say that we didn't really…
  • I am not familiar with any of those devices, but I do have a Polar HRM and an iPhone app called Digifit. It is useful to have cals burned. Good luck on your decision.
  • Good luck to you on your goals. I have never done it, but my hairdresser did it. I would say that she was 5'5" and about 130 lbs before she started doing it. She is naturally curvy. She decided to do it because a fellow hairdresser did it. I would talk to her about it a lot. I saw her go down to a size 0 right before a…
  • What I do if I know I want a treat that I tend to overindulge in is I don't buy the big mondo bag. I just buy the snack size or whatever size will fit my calorie limit that day. So, for kettle cooked chips -- I crave them right before my TOM. Instead of buying the 9oz or 5oz bag, I will buy 1 or 2 of the 1.5 oz bags. They…
  • New York Cheddar Herb Kettle Cooked Chips. OMG! Or the Buffalo Blue ones. Actually, pretty much any flavor. I love the grease and crunch and saltiness. Yum!
  • I bought it, but it looks a little tough for me right now.
