Hey! Yeah, I had huge problems living abroad and gaining weight. I lived in China for about six years (lots of oil, lots of rice, lots of delicious things). I've been on vacation to Vietnam a few times but I'm not as familiar with the food choices there. If, like in China and other East Asian Countries, many things are…

Thanka for the welcome back!!! Happy to do this again with such motivated people.

I would love to join this group. Is there a link you can post (I'm unfamiliar with MFP so this may not be possible).

Looking for new friends on this site. I've been on my fitness pal for many years, but stopped tracking for about a year and gained a significant amount of weight back. Would love to have friends to motivate me. In particular, would love fellow graduate student friends (looking for tips on how to stay motivated and on track…

You've inspired me. I need to remember to stay at it like you and set goals that I can actually reach. Thanks for sharing!

What a wonderful transformation!

Loving my fitbit! Such a great tool for motivating yourself.

I weigh myself daily. I like to see the fluctuations in my weight. I used to weigh myself once a week and then get bummed if I hadn't lost anything/ put on weight. Now with this I can see that it goes up and day everyday but the trend is always down.

I just love this post.

Haha, my diary doesn't reflect what I actually eat right now. My goal this month is to log my food each and everyday. To tell you the truth, I never pay attention to my macros, maybe that is something else that I need to do.

Well that sucks.

I find that I feel sore the day afterwards. Maybe it's just delayed?

I used to have this problem until I lost a lot of weight (this was years ago). I think that it will go away by itself once your thighs don't rub together as much. Or at least that's my experience. :-)

Looking great. Keep it up. :-)

This is what I would ask. I know I get home from running, immediatly jump in the shower, and when I get out I'm still sweating for at least 10 minutes (I know... GROSS). I think that things would work better if I completly cooled down before I took a shower.

I honestly thought that i was big boned throughout high school until I lost 50 pounds during my senior year (I did study abroad). WHO KNEW THAT IT WASN'T MY BONES!?!

Yes. Fruit can have a LOT of calories.

WOW! You look wonderful.

On most days I burn around 350 calories, and I usually eat 85% of the calories back (sometimes more). I've been losing at a consistent rate of five pounds per month for the past 4 months (I'm not sure why I'm always right on target... but lucky me so far. In the beginning I was eating WAY too few calories and working out.…

VODKA. It's pretty much all we drank in college because it was so cheap. Just the smell makes me want to throw up now. Sad really.

thanks you guys. I think I might pull it back a bit on the amount of fruit I eat. I would eat more vegetables BUT there are just so many fruit stands on my way to work that I end up stopping and buying a LOT before I even get in. Maybe will also try cucumber in my shake as opposed to a banana. :-)

THIS IS THE BEST.

So much healthier!
-
I would say this. :-)

Moved to China and after almost two years of eating white rice two times a day I decided I should switch to the healthy brown type. Well I found out it is not only cheaper, BUT also tastes like crap. WHO KNEW.

I would suspect that she doesn't switch up her accents on purpose. I have noticed that I speak COMPLETLY differently when I am back in Oklahoma then when I am, say, in Chicago. I also picked up some type of strange Scottish accent when I lived in Edinburgh for a year and a half. People thought that it was on purpose when I…
