I'm vegetarian. I was never a huge meat person, about 80% of the meat I ate was pepperoni. I prefer eating this way and I don't think it's right to eat animals.
-
It can be healthier if you eat healthy, I mean cakes and cookies are usually vegetarian lol.
-
Doctors really don't study much about nutrition in medical school, sadly...yes your body does make some amino acids and the rest you have to get from your diet. There are not any animo acids you have to get from meat that you cannot get from plant sources. If you plug in your food at chronometer for a day you can look at…
-
If that's you're only reason I suggest you do some more research. You don't miss out on any animo acids on a vegetarian diet.
-
So why do you want to be vegetarian or pescatsrian?
-
Preworkouts are a waste of money and make me sick too so I just drink some tea for a kick and go.
-
I'm not sure why pescartian is a "thing" because I always saw fish as meat. I remember questioning my parents during lent as a child why fish wasn't considered meat...never got a clear answer...
-
I get unwiches from jimmy johns, not to be healthy or anything, bread just poofs me up
-
I just do a smoothie with protein powder because it's quick. I just do different fruit if I get bored with a particular blend.
-
Fish isn't really all that healthy the way it's farmed now the fish don't get much nutrients, so nether do you.
-
If you eat too many calories yes. Otherwise no, pretty sure no one here got fat from bananas.
-
You can add me. I don't log everyday, but I'm trying to get better at it

There isn't a set amount of protein that facilitates weightloss. Generally, you need around 50something grams a day for most people for general health. As long as your at least hitting that you should be fine...just stick to beans, tofu, seitan, and eating a variety of foods while cutting empty calorie foods like sweets…
-
Not sure why you need that much protein but maybe break it up into two smoothies.
-
Sounds like a lot of protein for one smoothie...I find when I put a banana in my smoothie I stay fuller longer...yellow banana, not real spotted.

what's wrong with fermented soy?
-
They aren't always healthy. I know a few slim people who eat loads of crap. They don't seem to eat as much as regular people though so they may be deficient in nutrients and calories. Also, the ones I know, do not exercise at all.
-
My sister takes b-100 by now foods and says it gives her energy. I just started a sublingual b12 vitamin since I don't eat meat, eggs and minimal cheese.
-
You should be able to eat seitan since its soy-free. I like the tofurky brand sausages
-
I get the brown rice bowls you can microwave from costco
-
I think the OP just thinks it will bump up her metabolism for some reason so probably best not spend $ on a test...
-
I heard that even people who eat meat can become deficient in B12 because it's not available in livestock the way it's raise now. You can ask your doctor to do a test.
-
I buy food in bulk at sam's and Costco like brown rice, quinoa, nuts, nut butters, bread, tofu, frozen veg, ect...it saves money. For fresh veg like peppers, I'll chop them up and freeze them for future meals since a large bag is only $5.
-
No it doesn't, if that was true men in countries where soy consumption is high would have bouncing breasts.
-
Sounds gross, but to each their own.
-
I didn't say they were fat-free. However, they have a lot less fat than meats, eggs and dairy. It would not hurt to incorporate them into a diet looking to reduce fat content while keeping protein high.
-
no I kept gaining weight. Noticed when i stopped drinking it I was a lot less bloated. I drink a regular coke every now and then. Didn't gain weight from that either.
-
does it have artificial sweeteners?

I am vegetarian so I cook vegetarian. My FH is not, but he'll either eat what I eat or make himself something else.
