Taeliesyn, I loved reading about your ultra! You did a fantastic job to finish. Maybe 5 weeks isn't long enough to your next one but the body has a great facility of forgetting pain, why do you think women have more than one child! I'm sure it won't be your last ultra. Ceci, what a lovely photo, your daughter looks like…

I managed a couple of 5k's at the beginning of the week before missing a run due to a sore knee. We've since been surrounded by floods and black ice so been out for a couple of walks but no running (walking was difficult enough). Hope your surgery goes well Ceci and doesn't put your training back too much. Taeliesyn, I…

Another 5k for me today, horrible weather but got it done. Back to work tomorrow (extra day holiday in Scotland) won't have so much time to fit everything in. Have signed up to a challenge where I have been paired with a workout buddy, I'm pretty competitive so I won't want to let her down. Have 10k races planned for 20th…

I'm running again! Signed up to a local FB group to run every day in December. I only lasted one day. But I have finally got my mojo back and have a 10km race in March. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and injury free 2016!

If you follow the meal plan it will provide you with 1600 calories a day, so not super low calorie. The guide is meant to lower body fat and increase strength, most people use it as a stepping stone and move on to weight lifting.

If you are following the BBG nutrition plan you should be eating 1600 calories a day as that is what the meal plan provides. If you follow the plan correctly it will give you the best results.

Skye_NS, well done on all those PBs! Maggie, I used to be a fair weather runner but now I love it. Taeliesyn, you have really caught the ultra bug haven't you! LLduds, well done on your time and your cool medal! I had the Loch Ness 10k yesterday. Only ran once last week as my knee ligaments have been sore but I was…

Nice medal LLduds! I have my 10k race next Sunday. Feeling totally under prepared. I have only done 2 long runs since March! My pace on shorter runs is good and I ran 10k at an easy pace today in 65 minutes, but I don't think I will have the stamina to keep up a fast pace for the whole race. Maggie, I have 3 kids so I…

Kids have been back at school for a few weeks so I haven't had time to check in here. Huge congratulations to taeliesyn for winning his 12 hour race! I have been struggling with injury again but I think I have finally got to the bottom of the problem, I took the insoles out of my Skechers as they were causing blisters on…

Robbie, I have had problems with my medial knee ligament on and off since I started c25k. The casualty nurse said once you injure it you will keep on injuring it and recommended wearing a knee support when running, which I haven't been doing! Maggie, phones don't like you having more than one GPS recording app running at…

Just quickly popping in to catch up before I head off on my holidays. Glad to see it is so busy here! Too many updates to comment on but everyone seems to be doing really well. I have been following my physio's advice and adding on an extra km every run. I am up to 7km and will probably stay around that distance while I am…

I got the all clear from the physiotherapist yesterday to start running again, with a strict list of instructions! I did my first run last night, a whole 2km! Tomorrow I get to do 3km. He lied when he said my cardio fitness wouldn't have decreased, my HR was at 110% on the uphill section.

I had an appointment with a physiotherapist yesterday. Actually 3 of them! My appointment was with a student and the only thing he could find was a slight weakness in my right hamstring. He discussed it with one of the other physios and they decided it was my knee ligaments. She then examined me and agreed it was my knee…

Enjoy your day off Robbie, sounds like you deserve it. I did a 5k trail run on Wednesday, was sore while running and worse when I stopped, though not as sore as before. Foam rolled and that seemed to help. Today ran 6km on the road with no pain, a bit sore now I have stopped but not too bad. Will foam roll later. Robbie,…

Well done on your PBs Robbie and Autumnfilly! Autumnfilly, what kind of dog do you have? I have a Border Collie and he will often go for a 5 mile run with my husband in the morning and then a 5 mile run with me in the afternoon! Poor dog, lol! Why is it we spend all winter wishing for the summer to come so we can go out…

Had a good run yesterday, it was in the plan as 8km fast, which means running slightly above your comfort zone. Decided to run on the road as every run on my local trail is above my comfort level! Average pace of 6:07minutes/km which is slightly faster than my last 10km race so maybe this plan is working! Running Color Me…

Love the medal MM! Welcome Autumnfilly! I didn't do my 10k run last Friday. I was so tired all week I just didn't have the energy. I was planning on doing it over the weekend but that didn't happen either. On Sunday my daughter was going to a friend's house to practice some dances for a show they have coming up so I put on…

Lots been happening! Well done on your HM Robbie, it looks like a horrendous course! MM, good luck this weekend, hope your knee doesn't give you any trouble. Ceci, I know what you mean about getting old, I was talking about that with my friends at the weekend, we were having a laugh about how when we get up off the couch…

Congratulations Diana! Trying to stick to the Asics plan but it's a bit boring. Dropped my son off at football tonight and ran round the fields for a change of venue. Going to Aviemore this weekend with my school friends, last year we went zip wiring, this year we are going kayaking. So that's my cross training sorted out…

Ran the Colorado Women's Classic 10 miler today (virtual version). Was 10 minutes slower than last year but I ran walked the first 4km with my daughter and dog before heading back out of finish it off on my own. The first 4km was an average pace of just under 10 minutes per km, the rest was 7:20 pace which I was happy with…

Hope you are okay Robbie, I almost fell yesterday, tripped over a tree root. Our weather has gone from 23°C on the 29th to sub zero and heavy snow on the 27th! Since then it has been bitterly cold and going out running has been a thought. Hoping for better weather next week.

Been busy and haven't had time to catch up till now. Glad to see taeliesyn and MM are back running, and Diana you are doing great! I have been following an Asics plan. I'm not sold on it at the moment but everything I have read about them is positive so I am going to stick it out. It is broken down into sections, I am on…

Been lurking and catching up on everyone's runs. Well done on your PB taeliesyn! Love your medal and bear Ceci. Diana and Robbie, well done on some great runs. I seem to be back off the injury bench but still playing things by ear. 5k on Wednesday and 7.3k today. It's nice to get back out there but still haven't done any…

Everyone seems to be doing well. Hope your arm is getting better Ceci. Glad you are back running MM! Robbie, forgot to say I like your new profile pic, being a former rugby player I always imagined you more of a Brian Moore, lol! Are you going to see any of the Rugby World Cup matches? We looked at going to see Scotland…

Good luck for tomorrow Ceci, hope your run goes well and you are all set for your half. My son turns 13 on the 11th April. We were asking him today what he wanted to do for his birthday. He said nothing, so we went through a list of things he might like to do. He said no to them all! Then I remembered his birthday was a…

Taeliesyn, do you do the Canning River parkrun? I follow Phil Gore on Instagram, every time he posts a picture of a darkrun I think of you because I had never heard of those until you mentioned them on this thread. I'm still doing nothing and I am pretty bored of it. I plan to start weight lifting (modified) and cycling…

Went to doctor yesterday, damaged my knee ligaments and need to rest for 4-6 weeks BUT she said I could run in my 10k race on Sunday, it won't cause any lasting damage but it might delay my recovery. My knee is too sore to contemplate running at the moment, think I am going to have to give it a miss.
-
Sounds like you had a great race on the whole Robbie, and you will improve on it for your next. What is your next one?
-
Great time Robbie, my FB friend finished just behind you! She got an official time of 2:06:15. She was very noticeable in a very bright outfit, lol! If you think of me when you are in trouble, think what an idiot I am, I'm in a lot of pain today!!

Well done! Hope your foot is feeling okay.
