I love escargot. It's an excuse to eat butter and garlic.

Pick the pods while they are still pretty small, otherwise they get tough as wood. I've tried Natto, terrible stuff. My Peruvian friends say to always get head on cuy in Lima to make sure it isn't rat. I love some jellyfish salad. Great stuff.

Long time Chiefs fan here. We may have a glimmer of hope this year with a real GM and HC.

I just got in an order of 5lbs of green coffee beans. I roast them in a hot air popcorn popper until they turn brown. Grind, into the French press with some 205F water and 4 minutes later it's the best coffee ever.

I home roast my own. French press, no cream, no sugar. You can have my coffee when you pry it from my cold, caffeinated hand.

I grow Thai Dragon chiles and eat them off the vine. Sweet, flavorful chiles. My favorite. A restaurant in KC used to serve seafood in yellow curry that, if ordered Thai hot, was about at the top of my tolerance. Good sweat inducing stuff.

I stick pretty much to 85% from our local butcher. It's locally raised as opposed to the 93% stuff at the grocery store. Reading that package informs me that it's from beef raised in Canada, US, and Mexico and contains beef and natural beef flavorings. Also there's more runoff left in the pan after I cook the 93% lean…

I've been drinking Belle Terra Zinfandel. For $12/bottle it's not bad.

You probably won't be able to donate the meat. I'd eat it and figure it in with my daily calories.

Potting soil and some containers for tomato and chile plants.

I fire up the weber and grill em.. Marinate in soy, garlic, ginger, chile paste, sesame oil and lime juice for a couple hours and throw them on.

Where's Himalania?

I've done it several times. I just get super hungry. No other real side effects.

Sweets like cookies, cake, ice cream, candy, ketchup. Yuck. I'm seeing a lot of stuff I really like in these lists.

The Zuni Cafe cookbook has a recipe for asparagus and aborio rice soup. Perfect for Springtime.

I've been staying away from chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. That and biscuits and sausage gravy. I love them both, but probably a good idea to limit them.

My anti-sweet tooth says all sodee pop is Evil.

I roast my own. Hot air pop corn popper and $7/lb beans. Ethiopia Harrar and just about anything from Central America are my go to beans. I drink it black, no suger/sweetener. Good stuff and way cheaper than pre-roasted store bought. I've never really liked Starbucks, I think they over roast their coffee. Edited for…

Fortunately, I've avoided hangovers for a while. My cure has always been a big ole fat and carb fest. Biscuits and sausage gravy Hash browns Eggs Sausage and coffee. Lots of coffee.

Our oldest daughter will be 21 next month. She was a surprise. The younger one took a lot of trying, she's 13. Younger loves to remind the older one that she was wanted. Jokingly of course, they are both very much wanted.

Ketchup, yuck. Sriracha, there are much better hot sauces out there. This stuff just doesn't taste good. Sweets, any kind. Cookies, cake, ice cream, candy. I have an anti-sweet tooth.

I'm a fan. El Yucateco is my go to hot sauce. Time to plant chiles.

Never lived there, but Eureka Springs is nice. Mountain Home is very rural and seemed like a nice place, although we were only there for a couple of days. During a road trip we passed through Toad Lick and a town simply named 56. Both towns had less that 5 buildings. It's a beautiful state.

Could have been worse, could have been the iguana. A friend of mine did missionary work in Central America. Iguana was what was for dinner. Boiled, with skin on. He said it had the texture of chicken but the flavor of rotten fish. He wasn't a fan.

My wife eats them and likes them. They don't smell like food to me. Especially anything that has garlic in it. I don't know what they use for garlic on those thing, but it ain't garlic. I pass.

My daughter and I driving back home to KC from camping and hiking in the Rockies. She got tired and just wanted a hot shower and a bed. So we stopped at a motel in Goodland, KS. One that offered free breakfast. When we checked out, they gave us a voucher for the restaurant. We sat down and gave it to our waitress. She…

I never salt my stock until I'm ready to use it. Most of the time when I make it, I don't know what it's going into or how much I'm going to reduce it. Which is another reason to avoid the soup mix.
