It does record a base amount of calorie burn depending on your settings. Mine burns 80 an hour when I don't wear it.

I quit smoking maybe 100 times before it stuck. We get a bit smarter and a bit stronger every time. Good luck!

We call his followers "Oz-Holes". A lot of the time they come in looking for stuff he recommends and have no idea what its even for. That always blows my mind.

Anecdotally, I don't see or feel any difference between Shakeology and any other meal replacement type shake. Its good for a quick meal or on the go type thing. Helps you get your protein in. I feel I get the same benefits from a protein powder and a greens powder. Or any other meal replacement. Any more I feel its more…

Interesting...

Well, I guess that settles that

I consider the week as a whole instead of just one day.

Around here, about 80-100 dollars per hour. The artist will let you know beforehand though. Plus a tip is nice. Plus some places have minimums.

I'm sure there are a bunch. I've used Nuun and Ultima

Guys (at least me) are the same with shirts. :-)

I think these things we use are all tools or guidelines. Add it in for a while and if you aren't losing as much as you'd like then stop adding it. Or don't add it in and if you feel like you are losing too fast then add it in. Find what works for you.

I dove right in pretty much. It takes a while of tinkering. Lots of patience required but I feel I am moving the right direction finally. I decided on a daily intake based on a weekly average since I work 4 days a week and that gives me a significantly higher TDEE on those days. I pretty much shoot for 2500 cals a day now…

For cold I wear a few layers depending on the temp. I have lightweight and heavyweight compression tights and I'll wear track pants over them. Same on top. Short or long sleeve tech shirt with a heavy hoodie over that then a zip up hoodie if needed. A fleece balaclava and a pair of fleece gloves round it all out. The…

A calorie is a calorie and will determine IF you lose. That being said, the type of calories can determine WHAT you lose (ie fat, muscle loss, etc)

Yep. I stopped posting them including consecutive days and practically anything auto-posted. I never 'complete' my diary for the day and if something gets posted I delete it. About all I post are if I get down to a new low. Its just what I a comfortable with. I say post what you want or don't post what you don't want to.…

Did mine for the first time today with the same results. I think the theory is to keep doing it and you'll get faster and in the 'zone' for longer periods of time.

So for me it would be a 909 calorie brownie :-P

I think we learn here that moderation and choices are the key. You ate bananas instead of chocolate so that is a plus. And now you know you need to go a bit more moderate on bananas. As long as you learn you are going in the right direction..

I think I may have finally gotten mine close. You have to turn on the negative calorie adjustment here. Then I reset my goals on MFP to active and lose 2 pounds a week. And I set my workout goal to 6 days a week, 30 minutes a day. I am on my feet 8 hours a day walking four days a week at work. All I did at Fitbit was put…

Bump for later. Thanks

Light or ultra light beers? Not my style but you do what you have to sometimes.

Not a "last straw" but more like a worse that I have ever felt: Being at Disney when Harry Potter land opened and waiting in line for two hours and then the bar wouldn't lock across my lap and I couldn't ride.

I weigh daily and lost 8 pounds the first week. Coming off of vacation and bad habits I am sure contributed. Then I gained 5 back the next week but by the end of the week was down another one. So now what I do is weigh daily to keep me focused but I record only when I am down from my lowest previous weight. And you bet I…

Body For Life is like that and I had some success but ended up overdoing it. An idea is maybe two cheat meals a week. Or two cheat one hour periods. Better than bombing the whole day.

I took several different bmr sites and just averaged them all together. There are tdee calculators you can do the same with. I ended up with a Fitbit though and use the calories tracked there as my tdee. I use the bmr for the minimum calories I eat then strive for a weekly deficit on my tdee of an average between 500 and…
-
I think that we are always supposed to eat at least what our bmr is. Occasionally going under won't hurt but its not a good habit. If you don't burn your 1000 calories then you just have a smaller deficit. Also I shoot for a range. 500-750 deficit. Gives me some room to go over and under.

You're off to a great start. Its the little changes that add up to a lifetime. To me, there is no way possible to lose 55 pounds but one pound at a time I can manage. :-) Good luck

I'm going against the grain here. I like it a lot. I add a bit more water than it calls for but think its really tasty.

Yep. I wouldn't trust body fat measurements except for finding one of those places that do it in a water tank. Other than that a tape measure and calipers are probably the best way to go. And even with that no more than once a month which I know may drive you crazy :)
