I am actually taking this week off from they gym to try to recuperate from exertion headaches. They started last week after increasing my bench press weight and have been ongoing as a dull ache in the side and back of my head. I found a good article about it. https://www.apexllc.org/articles/exertion-headaches/ This…

You are doing awesome and I'm so happy I can be your MFP friend on this journey. Keep up the great work!

You can add me, love to motivate and be motivated...

I'm in...put the scale away last week...next weight in on the first week of August :)

I started drinking a shake (with almond milk) before intense workouts and after. Calories are low (in some brands) and I feel it gives me the protein required to start that muscle repair. The pre-workout is just that -a pre-workout meal -to sustain my energy level. I am not sure about the cardio part, is is like HIIT or…

bump for future gain paranoia...

Love my fitbit one...it has been a life saver. It allows me to track calories burned and in combination with MFP, Cals eaten vs burned, steps taken, floors climbed- but by far the best info is the calories burned...best investment ever!!

I bought some bands and dumbbells and started a modified version at home of stronglifts 5x5 until I was able to get to the gym.
-
Add me, Im 5"7 and started at 214 (before MFP), down to 179 and need to lose another 25-30 pounds :)

I love love love the 16:8...been doing it for a while and works well to help me keep in my calorie goals and not feel deprived in the evenings.

LOVE my Fitbit One...wear it all day and night (take it off only to shower). The more you wear it the more accurate it is... There is a learning curve but it was worth fussing and fuguring out what numbers meant what on the report. I sync it to MFP and allow for negative allotements. I have a desk job so it really…

I have a fitbit one and love it! ...some call it a fancy pedometer but it truly shows you so much information the more you wear it...I only take it off to shower. If you want something to track activities not involving walking or running, an HRM is a better bet, but a fitbit would be great for all the other times. There is…

Becasue...a little over 6 months ago it was fun to watch TV with my kids... today it was awesome to hike up a mountain with them....

I've had several plateaus in my journey. Although I am sure some food measurement issues have had an impact, I believe that sometimes it has to do with other varibales such as macros. I had an RD friend look at my log after a stalled for 6 weeks... recommendation was to increase protein, increase fiber and water intake...…

Probably decrease cals significantly day before and after, eat lots of turkey and take it easier on the carbs but try it all...log as best I can, and try not to feel guilty... its part of the marathon because this is not a sprint :)

I am a fitbit One user... Sooo...I have to say a fitbit (best ivestment I have made  )...however, HRM and fitbit are for 2 different uses. Fitbit is for all day long tracking (calories, steps, floors, miles great for walking and running); HRm is for all other activity and not for all day use. I think a lot of people…

Im 37 with 2 kids... SW 204, CW 183.5-184 (keep going up and down), GW 175, UGW 150-160... I am having a terrible time breaking a plateau even though Im measuring food and exercising, and its taking me 236 days to get as far as I have (20 pounds down). I net approx 1400 calories a day... I also use a fitbit. My thought is…

NEVER have I or will I regret my TT... It has made such a huge difference in my life. Pain was minimal compared to all the benefits it had for me...

Ok, there is a very real possibility that I will not succeed at this; however, I'm in! I need this! I need to stop weighing myself...Let's do this:drinker:

Do some cardio if you have time to burn some of it off, but truthfully, just let it go and tomorrow will be better. You may see a little gain but nothing that can not be repaired with more carefully monitored days. Don't beat yourself up.

Heelllo Offficer! hehe, you looked great then and look fantastic now. Congratson the great accomplishment!

That is awesome! I can't wait until I can run 2 miles non-stop! Congratulations! :)

Awesome :)

I'm 5"7 (35yr old) and netting 1450-1500 a day (sometimes I hit more than that with special foods/treats). 1200 - 1300 is way too low for me. I have been losing 1/2 to 1 lbs. per week, and I had some plateaus in the beginning; I think it had to do with my portions before buying a food scale. I have a lower calorie…

Hi! Muscle doesn't weigh more than fat...a pound= a pound. However, fat takes more space than muscle, therefore muscle gained and fat lost= inches lost. This means you can weigh the same and lose inches if you are gaining muscle :) Inches lost, BF% lost and muscle gained are always better than just a decreased number on…

I do this... Except I do it in the morning, log in everything and then I don't have to worry. However, when I first started I was obsessed with food, calories, macros, eat more, eat less, calories in, calories out... it was a little overwhelming. Now, it is just part of my day. Give it some time and don't lose focus. The…

Eat the calories how you feel best... I eat a relatively small breakfast and medium size lunch to leave most for dinner where I like to eat heartier... It's your preference :)
