  • I'm a 40 something mom and would like to have some friends to help motivate and encourage each other. Feel free to add me
  • Would love to be a part of the group. Needing some God loving friends to help encourage and motivate.
  • I'm in the same boat. Feel free to add me as a friend!
  • Feel free to add me. I am looking for some friends to help with motivation
  • I understand your fears and experience the same fears. I am at this again and fear of failing yet again. I tell myself each day this is a new day and every little change matters. Just keep taking that one step at a time and believe in yourself. You can do this! I have been inactive for a long time and now that I am back…
  • I'm in the same position. I was inactive for a long time and recently got back on. Feel free to add me. I am looking for some new friends to help motivate and keep me going
  • Yes I agree to just use my investment. And after something you said I guess MMW doesn't use GPS since it does give calories burned. Plus I have seen that the calories given from them verses Fitbit does have a difference mainly with Fitbit being a lot less. Feel safer using what they track as calories than MMW. Thank you…
  • How well would doing the exercises in this challenge help with the extra "flab" around my mid section? It's a result of the large amount of weight I lost a couple years ago
  • MMW does use GPS. It maps out the route I walk. The distance seems to be the same for it and the Fitbit. I think the thing I am most worried about is making sure that the calories burned sent from my Fitbit and MMW don't add together. Just not sure on which would be better at giving a more accurate reading of my calories…
  • I will send a request. I need the motivation too http://www.fitbit.com/user/3B7H73
  • So I should not have the MapMyWalk app synced to my Fitbit? From what I understand the Fitbit is more accurate, correct? I use the MMW app to track my miles, paths I walk, etc. Should I just not sync it to MFP (which I use to log my food) or Fitbit since the Fitbit will send what I walked to MFP account? Sorry, just…
  • I have read through a lot of different threads but may be missing something. I use MapMyWalk when I do my walks and have it synced to MFP and my Fitbit Zip. Should I only have it synced to one or is it ok to have it synced to both? I want to get accurate calories burned but have a hard time understanding how MFP calculates…

  • Awesome work Nancy!! It is great to step on the scale and see your hard work paid off! I have yet to get on the scale since Saturday when I weighed myself and saw that I gained 2 pounds. Ugh!! But it's my fault. I fell off the wagon Friday & then just went to heck with it and ate too much food on Sunday during Easter…
  • Totally agree!! I have a playlist labeled as workout music!
  • One thing that helps me when my muscles are sore is using bands to stretch. Julie is correct about to keep moving. It gives the muscles time to tighten up. If you work out in the morning try just some light stretching at night before going to bed. It also helps to relax. Great job at sticking with it. The whole thing will…
  • Thanks guys for the confidence in me. I just need to keep focused and quit getting on the scale everyday. That's what kills me. I was talking to a friend last night and made me realize a couple of things. It's not the weight but how I look and feel. I can drop inches all over the place and feel great even at the weight I…
  • I also got my Fitbit and began using it today. Since I have a desk job it keeps a small voice in my head to tell me to get up and move some. And gives me a daily goal to try to reach for each day with just steps.
  • Great job on the start of the program!!! I need to get in gear on following it close. This weekend for me wasn't the best. Didn't drink enough water and had a couple bad choices. But gotta keep my focus starting today and brought the eating plan with me today to look through again. I can run to the store on my lunch hour…
  • HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY Julie!!! I am so glad to hear it was a great one for you!!
  • I haven't started yet but will begin the diet. Just may not do well with the DVDs in the program due to the knees but going to do the PiYo with it. This week I have to admit I haven't started them :( I have gone walking because we have gotten some okay days and need some fresh air after this winter! But have been logging…
  • Doing good. Had some stuff going on as you may have read in one of my other posts. This whole week I have been logging my food and making good choices so very proud of myself. Plus staying under my calorie goal too! Went walking a couple of times and it's been nice. The first time had to stop at a mile because my knees…
  • I haven't checked in for awhile. :( hope everyone is doing well! I drink half my weight in water every day. I struggle on the weekends because I am so busy. But found if I keep a few bottles of water in my trunk and keep at least one in my cup holder it reminds me to drink. I will stop when we are out and get my cup filled…
  • I know. No big rush. The surgery for the first knee isn't going to happen until about the 2nd week in May. I need to get through softball season first ;)
  • Thank you! Have a safe trip back! Talk to you once you get back home :) Let me know when you start your 21 day fix. I have not truly began but need to get in gear!!
  • It is an out patient procedure that won't take long. They are going to cut the tendon that is tight which will allow the knee caps to go back to the normal position. It will relieve the pain and grinding.
  • I am going to start the PiYo up again and be determined to stick with it. I need to work on my flexibility and can see how much you can lose that when you don't do it regularly.

  • Yes I will have to pay very close attention to how I eat those 2 weeks while off but will think I can do things while sitting using my resistance bands so I can keep things going. I can really focus on my arms and some core. Do you have anything that can work the core that doesn't require getting up and down from the…
  • I was going to try but my knees just can't take it. Plus went to get my MRI results and have to have surgery on BOTH of them. Just an out patient procedure but will put me out of any kind of exercising for 2 weeks with wack one :'( Guess my knee caps sit towards the side and the tendon on each attaching from the cap at the…
  • Funny but very informative!! Thanks! Good thing I have backed down a lot over the past couple years. Now it only takes one glass of wine to make me giddy LOL :p
