Hi! So it's been a while. 18 months or so since the last time I ran and probably 2 years since the last time I posted to this group, but I've been following the Facebook page and I recognize a few people still. I've signed up for a virtual 5K in May, and I'm completely deconditioned. So my goal for March is to walk 5 days…

I ordered in breakfast again this morning. Sigh. And skipped last night's run because my good ankle felt weird. Except I think it's just stiffness. I have a physio assessment today anyway. Maybe they can un-*kitten* my calf muscles, which are ridiculously tight since Sunday.
-
I think I'm back. Did my half on Sunday and holy cow I was slow - I had to walk a lot because I got wicked calf cramps. Coach is sending me a stronger electrolyte than nuun.

o/ In for 120 km I think. But for now I'm just gonna hobble around a bit. I don't recommend sitting in a car for 12 hours the day after a half marathon.

Takeout lunch was a falafel wrap from a local Lebanese restaurant. Yum! Total guess on calories, I figure around 600.

Breakfast: takeout Lunch: takeout Supper: ??? Plants (since veg will be lacking the rest of the day) I have these cheese/nut/dried cranberries packets for a late afternoon snack so I can run home and not bonk on the way. Should be okay for calories despite all the takeout as long as I don't binge in the evening. And I was…

Under on calories today but ate a reasonable amount of food. Of course now the MFP app won't talk to the website LOL. @7lenny7 if you brought that into my office kitchen everybody would be lined up to try some.

I did not do great with evening snacking last night, sigh. I think I either need supper as soon as I get home, or I have to make good snacking choices (fruit or veggies). I'm running home from work today. I just need to swap jeans for tights and change my shoes. I'm still feeling super stressed at work but it's slowly…

He doesn't discriminate from what I recall. I have a copy at home that I can check (I leave work in 5 minutes woo-oo). He's very hippie and does things like make his own almond milk and grind his own flour. Some of his recipes are available online. http://www.scottjurek.com/eat

It doubles as a vegan cookbook!

@Elise4270 I love Born to Run but I actually liked Eat & Run even better. Same race from the perspective of a journalist vs the perspective of one of the competitors (Eat & Run has a lot more to it as well).

Also, my baby had to get glasses and he's the cutest thing. But don't tell him he's cute, he doesn't like it because he's 4 and he's too big to be cute.

I have been hiding but I think I'm ready to emerge. I've been stressed and treating it with food and video games instead of running. I'm a full week behind on my running plan but I did 11km last night and I'm just done with how things have been going. I have weighed myself this morning and will reset my calorie goals on…

In for 70km. That's just a guess based on glancing at my coach's plan for me this month. I fizzled in February (I did run some, but was on full on avoidance of running talk mode) but aside from a crappy cold Saturday it looks like spring is on the way. Here we go!
-
I forgot to eat breakfast today. Oops. I'm not weighing myself. But I am tracking my food.
-
It is currently -2C here today. I deferred yesterday's run to today because I knew it would be nice out. But Saturday will be -25C again. After that it's supposed to slowly increase again and maybe be spring for real.
-
I'm hiding. Mostly from the cold, but also from accountability because I skipped my long run last weekend. But it all comes down to the cold, really. I'm so over it.
-
I could barely move after my first 2 sessions! When the needle hit the spot it made my entire leg contract from ankle to butt.
-
Oh gosh I have flashbacks to dry needling. I will say by the third session the cramping was not as bad and resolved faster.
-
Ian will always be this to me in my heart.

My baby is 4 today. I've started logging again because I need to stay accountable for him and for my 7 year old because I want to see my grandkids some day. Also, my younger brother is starting to have a ton of health problems. He's only 35 (36 next month). His problems are all weight-related or weight-exacerbated (like…

Tim Hortons for breakfast, freshii for lunch. Probably shouldn't get takeout for supper, ha. I got almost 8 hours of sleep last night and it was heaven. Just need a few more days like that.

Supposed to warm up a bit next week. But I went anyway. I got all excited…

I'm mostly just lurking. It's one of my family's 2 birthday weeks so cake. Hubby and youngest on the 12th & 19th. The next birthday week is end of April/beginning of May (me & oldest kid).
-
I have been tired for days and yesterday was my husband's birthday so no running. I will make it up tonight in the gym where the locker room smells like farts. They should probably just put some water down the various drains in the floor, I bet the traps have gone dry. So 3-4km today and 3-4km tomorrow and I will attempt…

@garygse great race report! I have definitely teared up at or right after the finish line before.

In Canada my tax software imports all my tax slips from the government tax website (from work, retirement savings, etc) and all I have to enter are my charitable donations and my daycare fees (they're a refundable tax credit).

Been eating a lot of takeout. It's just so hard to get out and go grocery shopping when the weather is so terrible! We are going after work today so food should be back on track again.

2/1 - rest 2/2 - 8.05 km 2/3 - rest 2/4 - rest 2/5 - 3.35 km 2/6 - rest 2/7 - 3.57 km 2/8 - rest 2/9 - 8.05 km 23.02/68 km Another day, another indoor run. Had left foot pain again although it eventually eased. I definitely prefer the indoor track to the dreadmill. At least on the indoor track I can look outside…
