I've dated younger guys(7 years younger) and older women but I find age isn't relevant, it depends how mature or young at heart the person is, one women I dated was 4 years older but acted like a teenager. I would date any age person as long as there was an attraction between us in some way

Right thanks, wasn't thinking of camping gear. I carry food, drinks and anything I need for the day, hike 3 miles up hill to work so i'd been entering it in as backpacking, might be why I've not been losing anything. :\

I don't do diets, I was put on fad diets from 3 months old(apparently I filled the pram) to when I left home(I was 21 then) since then I try not to binge I still fail sometimes but my binges aren't as bad as they used to be(24 bags of crisps in 1 sitting-this was when I was at my mums, i'd bought the crisps and had to hide…

Hi all from devon here, feel free to add

I agree, especially aspartame, as an epileptic I stay well away from this product, the only sweetener I use is stevia(apparently a natural product)

I don't believe sugar is the devil:laugh: however it is very well hidden in a lot of foods under a lot of different titles, this isn't sugars fault, but it does mean most of us take in way too much sugar without realising it. People are so busy looking for low fat products their not paying attention to the sugar quantity.…

Had to work today, so that's about 6 miles to work and back, part of my job today was to go for a walk with one of the guys who use our service, in total 35,368 steps walked, about 13 miles. It was really enjoyable  but my hip is knackered. :ohwell:
-
This week have done about 15000 steps each day but today managed 23000, well chuffed. Well done to you snowflake930 that's amazing!

My aim was to burn off the extra calories I ate whilst at dinner round my parents last night, have burned them off, still not sure that makes amends, just as well I didn't have a pudding :drinker:
-
I hadn't realised either ogmomma, then someone explained it to me I realised why i'd been losing and re-gaining the same two pounds for the last month or so lol:ohwell:

Week # 1 – September 1st -- Goal 650 minutes: Mon: 113 walk to work and back Tue: Wed: Thur: Fri: Sat: Sun: Total / min left: 113 / 650

Hi Ogmomma, if you track by time then you can enter it into your MFP exercise diary, they will then add calories that day to your allowance which you can eat if your maintaining your weight but if your trying to lose weight you should only consume half of what they give back. hope that makes sense, it does in my head…

Hi Melissa, I also find it difficult at night, once I get in I figure out what calories I have left, but i'm hungry immeadiately and sometimes end up eating my dinner calories in snacks. :embarassed: I now try to just have a cuppa and start on dinner so then i'm full, I drink tea or water with dinner and I've no room for…

Are you measuring yourself? I find it helps as you can see it better if you know your waist/hips etc are smaller, you can't wait for other people to support you, you'll never succeed relying on others. Hope this helps
-
That would be me too :blushing: feel free to add me, you can never have enough friends
-
Hi Guys, well I did it, it took me til 5pm to leave the flat(anxiety) but I did it and achieved 11,616 steps, well chuffed:bigsmile: , hope you all achieved your targets :flowerforyou:
-
I'm proud that despite my anxiety issues I left my house after getting in from work and went swimming again this week, I also managed 16 lengths(better than the 12 last week but I haven't swam properly for over 10 years) and I lost nearly 2lbs. Oh and whilst not related to MFP i'm really proud that 2 beautiful ducklings…

Managed 14000 steps so will try to achieve 10,000 again tomorrow, it is definitely motivating to state on here what you intend to try to achieve:happy: Thanks Melissafitness

My goal today is too reach 10,000 steps, on the weekend this is hard for me as I walk 14,000 - 16,000 a day mon - fri, snowflake930 I don't know how you reach 20,000 steps - wow!:smokin:
-
I walk 3 miles to work and about 1 1/2 back(I get a lift down the hill on the way home most days), because my job is very active i'm pretty knackered by the end of the day  I also have a hip problem so I try to keep as active as possible without putting too much pressure on it, so i have taken up swimming. Well done…

I couldn't agree more :drinker:
-
it certainly is! :)

Thanks guys i'll give the daily exercises a go and look into the yoga, i'm lucky as my job is quite active, the worst for me is training days when i'm sat down for hours at a time, that's when it really hurts, I don't have room for yoga in my flat but will look into classes.

Used a pedometer today and logged 14831 steps, it was pretty much a usual day, think I may have figured out why i'm not losing weight though, I read somewhere that you should only be eating half the calories you burn in exercise, not all of them :embarassed:
