I did say BMR AND activity level. My BMR alone is only about 1400 and I have a desk job, so the total I get is about 1800 estimate, but the armband calculates 2600.. that is quite a difference.. :(

I am not sure why everyone thinks they need to do it every day.. I did not see such "istructions" on the DVD. I do it most days (started level 3 yesterday) and am getting great results even with a day rest here or there.

An inch off is pretty good too! You're only halfway there! Hang in there! I am on day 6 of Level 2 and can feel my pants falling off a bit.. Oh and PMS can make you gain as much as 5 pounds!!

I tried wearing my HRM (watch and chest strap) for 24 hours to see calories burned, but it showed 4,000 calories burned!!!! No way that is right - I would've been real skinny!! I did NO exercise that day. I know ordered one of those Body Media and am so excited to try it out. THAT I will wear all day and all night.

Here is an amazing website, really helped me figure it all out: http://www.shapefit.com/basal-metabolic-rate.html I say, if you want to eat your calories, then you should (if you feel hungry, means your body is asking for it), but if you don't, make sure your NET is never less than 1200 calories a day. I completely understand! Good for you! My husband had a HUGE bowl of ice cream last night with some fruits and nuts in it and I only had half a spoon of it! I sure tried to make it last! ha ha
