  • Welcome to the site! You will find tons of support here at the site. As far as calculating calories there is a fabulous site www.sparkpeople.com that has a recipe calculator where you just put in the ingredients and it will calculate the calories and all the other nutrition facts. I'm not sure if they have alot of the…
  • I think that whether you add the calories in depends on how you are set up. I am listed as sedentary because often I will spend all day on the computer and not a whole lot of activity. I add in everything that is not just sitting around. I include cooking, cleaning, gardening and even leisurely walking when I am shopping.…

  • whew!!! Was hoping I just missed a thread while at work. Either that or Shannon, Tam and alli had some explaining to do.
  • I went to send sarge a message and he's been deactivated :noway: :noway: :noway: What did I miss? Manda, whats up?
  • Definitely going to have to try this one!
  • Love Jarlsberg light Swiss from Costco, only 50 calories per slice, not sure about the sodium though....Also love the laughing cow for spreadable cheese , only 35 calories per wedge with 260 mg of salt
  • This is very interesting, a reason to have 2 very good things on a daily basis....yummmmmmmm
  • That is absolutely fantastic! Now you know that you have made the lifestyle change for good! :drinker: You are a huge inspiration to the MFP family. I don't think you should be allowed to leave for 10 days again.....just not the same around here without you
  • I had put it off for a long time. The day I went to the ER it was after 8 hours of constant pain. I hadn't been able to even lift my year old twins for hours, when I finally had enough. I went in and they wouldn't let me leave because I was jaundiced from my liver not working due to the blockage. :noway: 2 shots off…
  • I would 2nd the gall bladder. I was misdiagnosed as heartburn so I passed stones for over a year. :grumble: It felt like a stake was being pushed from back through my sternum then radiated out my ribcage. It was especially sensitive on my right side towards the bottom of my rib cage. I also recommend seeing a doctor.
  • Most cities will have a statute about harassment by phone or in person. Generally, the person needs to be notified to stop then if it continues possible criminal charges may be pursued. Restraining orders are very specific as to who can apply and receive them. This will be regulated by the individual state. In Idaho there…

  • You need to eat.....860 calories is not enough to live on. The absolute minimum is 1200 calories, otherwise your body goes into starvation mode. We will have todo some bumping....Banks has some great explanations in other posts about this. I am almost always over in something, but the calories are the most important…
  • I have found that the numbers are somewhat close to what the HRM states. I have my activity level set as sedentary since their are days I work 12 hours sitting at a computer. I do include the shopping, cleaning, gardening and cooking as exercise. I have regularly lost between 2-3 lbs a week since joining. I am considered…

  • It depends on how you are logging it. For example if you sear ch for tri tip steak it will bring up numerous options, some are raw some are broiled etc. I like to log after its cooked since you don't know how much fat will cook off.
  • Thanks for coming out! I too am a lurker, I occasionally post but not real often. I love this site and the people on it. ******* BEWARE******* This place is addictive
  • I can sooooo relate to how you are feeling. I have another 75 lbs to go just to get me into the healthy range. :grumble: To this point I have lost 30 lbs and am surprised by the changes in my body. I cannot envision what will be left after I get to a healthy level. :noway: I think I'm going to try and remember viviakay's…

  • I'm so glad that you are both safe. That is a terrifying experience, especially after the fact. :noway: Hopefully, you can make some security changes to prevent this from happening again. A fellow lurker  , Vick
  • Have a fabulous time! Don't worry about the dinner just enjoy the night. You look great in the dress and I love the shoes. :drinker:
  • Sitting here drinking a nice glass of wine before dinner. Weather is beautiful, kids aren't fighting, life is good!:drinker:
  • Do we dare ask what the check was for
  • Great Job! Since starting this site I have greatly reduced my consumption as well. I don't crave alcohol nearly as much since I cut back. I still have wine or a good drink occasionally but it isn't on a daily basis. I think the first night was the worst, I've just replaced it with ice water.
  • I also work rotating shifts and log my food according to my sleeping times. I usually have a cut off time for when I normally go to bed. Such as Swing Shift is 0200 and Graves is 0800. I created an additional category for Nights for logging my food consumed during the wee hours. I usually just make a comment under…
